"Remember the reason you are here and make sure not to get swayed by anything or else you know only...." That person said in an alarming tone while the other person slightly nodded their head and before someone could see them both of them disappeared right in thin air.

"Pardon?" Madam who couldn't get what he said asked humbly as she bowed towards him.

"I mean, it's time for the ceremony please tell the ladies to get ready." He said as he smiled.
"Okay, I will tell them to get ready," Madam said as she hurriedly went to the room they were staying in.
"Ladies, are you all ready?" She asked as she opened the door and found all of them sitting silently on their seats.

"Yes, we are ready. Please lead the way." Rose said as she was the first one to step forward.

"(Is it just me or the silence between them is quite disturbing?)" She thought while sighing.
"Kids there is a life out of this palace too so be fair and square without any hard feelings." She said to the kids whose faces got soft after hearing her words.

Everyone was talking and joking around when suddenly a letter skidded over their door.
"Who is there?" Rose said as she looked over the letter and then at the shadow that walked past the door.

"What is this? A mysterious letter?" Lady Coral said as she picked it up looked it for a bit.
"That's weird, it doesn't have any family symbol in it, not a sender name." Lady Hilton who was standing beside her said as she looked at the cover which was rather crumbled and was in a rather bad shape.

"Hmm, maybe it's a confession letter!" Lady Maple exclaimed as she smiled making everyone laugh too.

"Who knows, how about I read it out?" She said excitedly when the door opened and Sofia entered the room with a bit red eyes.
"Princess Sofia where we're you? And why are your eyes red?" Irene asked in a concerned voice as she walked towards her.

"I was just having a chit-chat with my brother and I just got a little emotional." She said as she smiled while touching her eyes.
"I see, how about you use those white stones on your eyes they will help to cool your eyes," Irene said as she handed her one as cold stones ice.

"This is truly cool. Thank you." She said as she wrapped that some around her hanky and slightly massaged on her eyes.
"Princess Sofia, where coming back did you see anyone suspicions on the door?" An interested lady Coral asked as she looked at her.

"Huh, I don't think so, but why?"
"Well, that we just before you came inside got this mysterious letter without a name or family symbol." Lady Coral said as she handed the letter to Sofia.

"Did you read what is written inside?" She just asked them and even before they could answer her.
She already ripped the cover and opened the letter 1and started reading it out loud.

"This letter must have shocked you ladies but trust me what is written in this letter is even more shocking..." She read it out and then glanced at the ladies.

"The Candidates for the crown Prince is always chosen throughs great efforts but this time they have done a mistake. They chose the wrong person with a shabby history...." Sofia paired in between as the room suddenly went silent.

"Who in the world has written such nonsense? All of us are from dignified families!" Lady Astor snapped as rage rose in her eyes.

"You read it correctly there is a lady among you who has connections with the dark magicians...to be more precise that lady has the blood of witches which she got from her mother and that lady is no other than....the only illegitimate daughter of Viscount...Her name is Violet Medee Carot...." The last words left her lips and everyone became dead silent when suddenly the door swapped open revealing Violet who stood there with a cold look on her face.

"Now, the candidates shall enter." The announcer said as there heart beats rose and the door opened letting out a bright ray of blinding light.

When the door completely opened one by one all of them entered the banquet hall along with their veil and Flowers in their hands.

"The Candidates are out but why are there only 8 of them?"
"You didn't know tow of them crated problem as soon they came here hence they were eliminated."
"Wow that's a shame to their family name but still I am more interested in them."
"Me too I wonder who they are? And how they look!'

Murmering of people filled the cold hall and made it warm as they kept glancing at the ladies who wouldn't spare them a single galnce.
"The Royal Family, The Emperor, The Crown Prince and The Second Prince are entering." The announcer announced and everyone bowed on 90°.

"Greeting to the royal family." They greeted them in sync as the emperor signaled them to stand up.
"Today, I am grateful to have all of you here in the inauguration ceremony dorm which you all would be able to see the candidates we have chosen for our Crown Prince and all I want from you all is heart full blessings for these childrens." The Emperor announced as he looked at his subjects who listened to his words as if they were listening to their God.

looked at Madam who nodded her head and with a drum sound all of thier veils were removed tighter reveling their faces.

"Fine then let's start with Lady Maple after that you can go and prepare yourself for the singing." She said to Lady Maple who was pleased with the arrangements so she gently held her flower and walked towards the pedestal where thousands of eyes were on her.
