“So this is Rizevim’s laboratory..?”, Ajuka remarked staring at the door to the Underground Laboratory, “He went out of his way to hide this place from prying eyes. We would have never known this was down here if you had not brought us here. There is not a trace of it from the air or the nearby roadway.”
Several days after speaking with Cole, Lilith persuaded Ajuka and Sirzechs to accompany her to Rizevim’s Lab. Taking Cole’s warning seriously, she was leaving nothing to chance with her safety as she no longer had her husband's clout to protect her. Hoping to put to rest this uneasy feeling she had since meeting the Otherworlder, she hoped that her procrastination had not sealed her fate yet. Now that she was freed from her husband, Lilith wanted to enjoy a more casual lifestyle and no longer rear any more children.
“Rizevim was very private about his experiments and spared no expense hiding this place. Several layers of Illusions and Inhibition spells keep people from coming here, for most people it is enough to keep them away. A few unfortunate souls managed to slip past all the defenses only to be swiftly blown apart by him.”, Lilith bragged with a pleased smile, “That aside, I honestly expected to run into some sort of resistance getting here. The way Cole made it sound, Rizevim’s ally should have stopped us from getting here. Could he be wrong?”
Looking around the area out of curiosity, Ajuka told them to wait a moment as something was off. Noticing that a light was coming under the door suggesting someone might be in.
“I will go first…”, Sirzechs stated as he got in front of Lilith, “We go in on three!”
Counting to three, Sirzechs blasted the door off its hinges and rushed in with the other two behind him. Taking a few steps into the room, they found scorch marks and blade gashes all over the place. Spreading out to confirm that the perpetrator was no longer on the premise, none of them found signs of life or magic aside from them.
“It appears we missed the culprit by a few minutes, some of these smoldering piles are still hot.”, Ajuka commented looking for anything to salvage, “I am sorry Lady Lilith, would you like me to try restoring some of the less burnt documents? While I can not promise anything, I am willing should you wish it.”
“Do not waste your time, the papers and materials he left are of little value to us.”, Lilith remarked as she headed toward a daybed, “Rizevim kept his completed work in a safe place, he had that weird habit since childhood. Anything he treasured dearly was always hidden in a safe under his bed or in his closet. As he grew up that habit of his never changed a bit.”
Flipping the daybed over, Lilith uncovered the floor safe beneath it. Trying a few combinations he might have set, the last combination she used unlocked it. Opening the door and reaching inside, she pulled out two books and a small stack of research notes. Handing the notes to Ajuka, as she did not understand them, Lilith took a look at the books with nervous excitement.
While the three Devils reviewed Lilith’s findings, another pair of eyes watched them from across the room. Using a mythical relic to hide from the Devils, Pluto cursed himself for not finding those documents before their arrival. Knowing he had to take them away or face Hade’s wrath, the Grim Reaper pondered how to best handle this issue. If Lilith had come alone, as Hades predicted, he could have subdued her and taken her to Hade’s Domain. Unfortunately, she had come with two Devils that rivaled Rizevim making that impossible.
‘This is not how this was supposed to happen, Lilith should have come here alone. There was no reason for her to be concerned for her safety, did someone warn her?’, Pluto thought looking at a special vial of poison he found in the lab, ‘Fortunately I am wearing the Helm of Hades so they have not realized I am here. While Hades will be upset at me for this, critically wounding Lilith with this poison is the only way to get the documents away safely.’

“I think I found what Cole might have been referring to…”, Ajuka said keeping his disgust hidden from them, “Over the past few centuries, he has been working to improve upon the mysterious arts Lucifer used to create the 72 Pillars. Rizevim has been kidnapping and experimenting on females of various races to create powerful Super Devils like himself. Unfortunately for his test subjects, the procedure has been too burdensome on their bodies and they die gruesomely part way through the process.”
“That is because it truly is excruciating, the pain is almost unbearable at times. All of that magical power rampaging around your stomach trying to form a new life. Each and every time I have brought a new Devil into this world, I go through that pain…I truly do feel sorry for those poor women. All that said, it appears I was his next victim…”, Lilith replied with a hollowed look as she stared up at them to read what she had found, “After extensive testing on the other races, I have concluded that there is something special about my mother. As she was formerly one of the first humans created by the Biblical God, she was likely granted a body that could sustain birthing an entire race as he desired. With this knowledge in mind, further experiments will need to be completed…on Lilith.”
Hearing what Rizevim had planned for his own mother, Ajuka and Sirzechs were left dumbfounded. Unable to comprehend putting their own mothers through that, even though Ajuka did not get along with his, both were shocked Rizevim could. Rumors ran rampant among their race that the only woman that could make him do anything was his mother, and now they understood why. It was all an act to keep her guard down so that when he was ready, she would never see it coming.
“Damn it!! Damn it!! Damn it!!”, Lilith shouted as her pent-up anger boiled over, “I am sick of being everyone’s babymaker! Lucifer told me that he loved me, but what he really loved was the soldiers I could make from him. Even my own son saw me as a fucking guinea pig to experiment on in the end. I cannot take this anymore, I am through being used and abused like this!”
In a fit of anger, she threw the journal as hard as she could to an empty space away from her guards. Sailing through the air, the journal suddenly vanished before her very eyes causing her to freeze up for a moment. Doing a double take to make sure she was not seeing things, Lilith realized that something was very wrong.
“Who is here, come out at once!”, Lilith commanded looking in the direction of where she threw the book, “I know you are there, you caught that book midair!”
Turning back to see what she was talking about, she informed them that the journal suddenly vanish a few feet from them. Not sensing anyone else in the room, Ajuka errored on the side of caution and suggested they leave as he tucked the notes away for safekeeping. Realizing that he had only moments to take out Lilith and grab the other book she had, Pluto coated his scythe with poison and launched himself forward ready to cut her open like a pig.
Sensing that her life was in danger, Lilith dove to the side and narrowly managed to avoid the Grim Reaper’s scythe. Watching the behind the bed explode violently as a giant gash appeared, both men knew Lilith was not seeing things anymore. Pulling her to him, Ajuka left this to Sirzechs as they couldn’t see who their opponent was. With Lilith out of the way, Sirzechs started blasting the area in front of them Orbs of Destruction trying to expose the aggressor.
Using his full strength to slice through several of the orbs, Pluto shot forward and sliced her stomach wide open in one fluid motion. Quickly retreating from the immediate area, he watched the Mother of Devils fall to her knees trying to keep her organs from falling out. Screaming out in pain as the poison quickly started taking hold, Ajuka used one of his experimental devices to teleport them away from the area.
