Having them slap a set on Inari as a precaution, the six deities hung their heads in shame and embarrassment.
“Please…have some mercy…”, Amaterasu pleaded, covered in gashes and bruises, “If you want us dead, just get it over with.”
“As much as that would make me happy, it feels like a waste letting it end so suddenly.”, Yasaka growled circling them, “We suffered for centuries yet you are asking us to just let you die in seconds…that is very unreasonable. Lord Cole, do you have any punishments you can suggest for them?”
“That is an easy one, they made you toil away for their benefit for generations, did they not? Make them understand the suffering and sacrifices you made by making them work for you. All of them are deities with important titles that can benefit your faction greatly. Take Amaterasu and Inari for example, Amaterasu is the Goddess of the Sun and Inari is the Goddess of Harvest and Fertility.”, I pointed out to her, “I can bind them to your Elder Council so they will have to obey your orders. They will not drop dead from manual labor, work them to the bone for your people and future generations.”
Looking at one another for a moment, the villagers appeared to like that idea. Agreeing with my suggestion, they looked to Yasaka for approval. Closing her eyes for a moment, Yasaka nodded her head and accepted my proposal. Reverting back into her human form, Yasaka looked away from them unable to stand their presence. Cursing them to listen to majority orders from the Elder Council, I wanted to make it as difficult as possible for them to make amends for their actions.

“We have existed since almost the beginning of time so it is a substantial amount, I do not have an exact total.”, Amaterasu answered as the curse compelled her to answer, “As for food…we have several hundred years worth of supplies.”
Gripping their farming tools and weapons in anger, the villagers were enraged by what they heard. They knew it would be a substantial amount, but no one could have imagined it would be that much.
