[Battle Against the Golem]
The berserk Raul’s strike proved ineffective against the golem.
“Ugh?!”
It sent Raul flying with its extraordinary raw strength.
…Seemed like I had to get serious.
Hold nothing back!
I rushed the golem with all my might.
“Take this!”
I swung the holy sword imbued with water element mana. It was the best element to counter the golem, who was made using earth element magic and whose entire body was made of sand.
“–!”
Slow due to its large size, the golem couldn’t evade my blow and was forced to take a knee. Although it wasn’t fatal, it had surely taken considerable damage.
“Nice work! I’ll help you, Barrett!”
“Yeah! Be counting on you, Andrei!”
As the golem tried to stand, Andrei delivered a blow with all his might. As it was bathed in mana-imbued water, the golem’s body became soft, and Andrei’s blow made it sway. Taking that as a good sign, Andrei unleashed a flurry of powerful punches at it.
“W-what?!”
It seemed like he didn’t expect it, Marden became flustered.
Maybe he thought he couldn’t let him continue, he prepared a spell to attack Andrei, but his attempt was blocked by Principal Abigail’s binding spell.
“Gh?!”
A magical ring of light bound him.
Now, there was no more to stop us.
“Keep at it, Andrei! Give it all you’ve got!”
“Yes!”
Hearing the principal’s shout, Andrei’s assault became even more intense. At this rate, he should be able to break the golem into bits.
The only problem left was Raul!
“Raul! Are you okay?!”
Running to the fallen Raul’s side, I asked him. Perhaps thanks to the golem’s blow earlier, he no longer radiated the ominous mana he did earlier.
He should be back to normal now.
“Hey, Raul!”
“U-ughh…”
His frail voice was in contrast to his usual cheerful voice.
He didn’t seem to sustain any injuries, and there didn’t seem to be anything strange going on with him from the outside. However, his groan seemed to indicate he was in great up.
Dammit!
If Tayte were here…
“…Tayte? Right! Tayte!”
As a saintess, Tayte should be able to heal Raul.
Just as I was about to go pick her up…
“Uwaaah!?”
I heard Andrei’s scream.
I looked back and trembled when I was met with an unexpected sight.
“What?!”
The golem that had been on the defensive was now standing up. The situation on Principal Abigail’s side wasn’t looking good either.
“Mwahahahahaha! I was surprised, but that’s all you’ve got?!” Marden seemed ot have regained his confidence.
What was going on?
Upon closer look, I could see that the binding spell the principal had cast on Marden had broken.
Just what–
“P-Principal…?”
