The topic had deviated, but it seems that the reason why the feudal lord was arrested was, as expected, because the Wind Dragons came out of Dragon King Mountain. I thought that the Wind Dragons appeared because the army was dispatched this time as well as last time, although the scale was different. Because of that, he was arrested for the crime of exposing the country to danger.
In addition, those Wind Dragons visiting the imperial capital was also a problem. Although no one was actually injured by the Wind Dragons, they were flying around the royal castle, so he was also charged with attempted murder of the royal family. It seems that he was an excellent civil official and was not able to inherit, so he had been working in the royal castle. Honestly, I thought that he was pitiful as he had to clean up the mess of the family even though he left it, but it seems that he was a good person just like the previous feudal lord, so the townspeople would undoubtedly support him.
A week after the feudal lord had been arrested, the Chivalric Order remained here and was keeping guard, so people began returning to town. However, it was just the market that not a lot of people were returning to and it was almost exclusive to the orphanage. Of course, several new merchants were doing business, but as expected, the Wind Dragons were frightening and it seems that the merchants didn’t want to be near Dragon Forest, so they were doing business in Frey Town as before. As for whether Frey Town was safe, the opponents were Wind Dragons, so there didn’t seem to be any changes, but it had been alright up until now, so there was a sense of security.
There was an increase of people in Frey Town, and because the Chivalric Order was there, the adventurers had been lively. The Chivalric Order had a certain amount of luggage, but as expected, after more than a week, the goods that they had brought were gone. Because of that, they replenished their stock locally, but there was a possibility that the Wind Dragons might appear if the Chivalric Order headed into the forest, so they commissioned the adventurers and requested food and medicinal herbs. Thanks to that, the newbie adventurers were also able to take on the requests and they did not have to live in want.
Our adventurer group also took on the requests and was working hard to earn the necessary points to raise their guild rank. They were requests from the country, so they could earn points regardless of guild rank, so the requests were a bargain. As expected, they were unable to deliver much meat, but they steadily gathered the medicinal herbs from the forest, so they earned a reasonable amount.
Because this was a critical moment, the merchant group put food into the market. The wheat flour that we had stocked up on and the dried goods that we were still producing a large amount of played a central role, but we sold a good amount. The people from the Chivalric Order were delighted that they were able to buy wheat flour and dried seafood that was rare around this area cheaply. With this, I believe that the name of our company would be well-known among the Chivalric Order, so I would like to consider selling them various potions next.
I wondered just how long such a life would continue, but Ojii-san, or rather, the Wind Dragons would not come anymore, so it’s alright to return though….
