Bella lifted up her hand. Her hand came flying towards Amber’s face at a frightening speed, with no hesitancy in its desire to land a blow. It was because Bella thought that there would be no one in this place that would side with Amber.

“Ugh…” Jenia groaned.
“My goodness, are you all right?” Hearing Jenia’s pained moans, Amber quickly came to her senses and hurriedly moved over to wrap her arms around Jenia. Jenia’s cheek was completely swollen purple, a clear indication of the strength that went into the blow.
Amber felt a surge of anger suddenly rising from her heart.
She didn’t care if Bella was violent towards her. Amber already had predicted it would happen eventually after she resolved to confront Bella directly.
‘But towards Jenia…’ She could not forgive her for how harshly Bella treated Jenia.
“And who are you?” Bella looked down on Jenia with an expression as if she found her bewildering.
“M-Madam, please calm down! What if the young master and honorable master were to learn of this?!” Jenia’s eyes were filled with tears as she begged Bella with a pitiful face.
“You think those men care about what happens in the household? Even if they did, they would pretend otherwise and say it would be embarrassing to even involve themselves in such trivial matters,” Bella spoke, smirking at Jenia.
For the Eastern Lands, where the culture clearly defined the roles of men and women, men regarded being involved in household affairs as shameful. Even if the household was in complete disarray, men would never dare to open their mouths.
“But that doesn’t matter, move aside. I have something to take care of with that woman. I will make sure to punish you later,” Bella spoke with an icy cold tone as she gripped Jenia’s shoulder. In response, Jenia gasped in fear and rolled her body into a ball. She knew very well just how violent Bella’s punishments were.
Amber’s hands tightened around Jenia. At the same time, wrath appeared in her orange eyes.
“Please stop this,” Amber’s voice, which was serious and subdued enough to be frightening, scared Bella into a flinch while she shook Jenia’s shoulder. Bella slowly turned her gaze and gasped from surprise after making eye contact with Amber.
Within Amber’s glare was such a fierce and burning will that would surprise anyone. Seeing the determined eyes that burned with passion glare at her with threatening intention, Bella couldn’t help but let go of Jenia’s arm in surprise.
“This child is a maid of this castle. How dare you interfere with how I choose to punish her?!” Taking a step back, Bella summoned her courage to speak aggressively.

“Do not be so full of yourself, I am the lady of the castle!” As Bella called herself the lady of the house, Amber could have refuted her as the actual wife of the Duke, but Amber did not do so. She had no desire to lower herself over a title when Jenia was injured next to her.
“Even so, do you believe it is right to commit violence towards people of lower stature?” Amber spoke with a calm voice as she pointed out Bella’s fault.
