I got myself together and went to the entrance of the late night store and pushed open the wooden framed glass door. Smell of various foods wafted out from the inside.
I wonder if there isn’t enough ventilation. It smells as appetizing as the Chinese restaurant I pass by after school.
If I smelled this at night, I would not be able to go home empty handed.
I entered the late night store with a sense of anticipation and saw Mince, a scalekin adventurer, in front of the cash register near the entrance.

「Not yet, Mince-san. It just started boiling.」

「When you asked for a pot au feu, I said it will take a while, you said you’re fine with it.」

When Mince spotted us, she greeted us with a serious expression but her scaled tail was reaching toward the pot au feu as if she’s about to take it.
