Moreover, these Nightmare Spirits were quite powerful being roughly equal to the special grade level of the cursed energy system at the moment of their birth.
Additionally, they also held the same attributes as the Jogo and Uraume who had just died being Ice and Flames.
This is mainly because, since the creation of the nightmare realm, Lorien made it so that whenever a cursed spirit or curse user is killed, their origin and essence will be absorbed by the nightmare realm thereby creating nightmare spirits of the same attributes.
By doing so, the Nightmare Realm will quickly get populated and no negative energy will be wasted in the process.
This is better than letting them die completely and then waiting for the fear of a certain aspect or element to accumulate enough to allow a new nightmare spirit to be born.
The advantage of such an approach is very evident as even now not long after the nightmare realm was created, Lorien could sense the ever-increasing number of Nightmare Spirits being born either by getting absorbed before they were completely born in the real world or assimilated after dyeing.
