'What? Where am I?' he thought to himself waking up.

Looking around he saw he was on a little island garden amidst an ocean of seemingly endless white space. The island had some plants he knew, but also had all sorts of plants that he was fairly certain didn't exist. There was a large pond with a gazebo beside it near the centre of the island. There he found a rather fancy table with some chairs and a tea set with two steaming tea cups on it.

On one of the two chairs there was some kind of being. It looked like a person made of white. They weren't bright or shining so looking at them wasn't that hard just that they had no details rather than a human-like shape made of a pure white colour. He looked around to see if anyone or anything else was near.

'What a weird dream.' he thought to himself.

"Oh this isn't a dream." the being responded to his thoughts while placing its teacup back onto the saucer.

"Bullshit. Then how would you explain this?" he retorted.

"You're dead." it said. He still wasn't sure it was a him or her though he leaned slightly towards it being male, but it barely had the edge.

"Honestly, I think I would remember dying if I were dead." he says suspicious as though he still believed this was probably a dream due to some of the fantastical elements around it also seemed to be a little too coherent for a dream.

"Well I was kind enough to block those memories. Unless people die peacefully in their sleep they tend to be rather traumatising." it explained calmly not getting caught up in his flow.

"Let's say I believe you. Why am I here?" he said thinking 'Well let's just go with the flow since if this was a dream or they are delusional then arguing is not going to go anywhere.'

"You know I can still hear your thoughts. I'm glad we can move on though instead of wasting more time convincing you. You are here after dying because you are being reincarnated and unlike the usual situation you won't be getting reincarnated through the regular cycle of your own world instead you are going to a different world and will get to keep your memories." it replied.

"So where am I supposed to be going?" he asked quirking his brow in mild curiosity.

"No idea. It will be randomised. It isn't that your soul is needed in one of those world. There are some complicated reasons, but the gist is we are sending your soul to another world's reincarnation cycle because it can't stay in your current world's one without causing issues." it responded nonchalantly.

"Oh as for some compensation for your troubles you will get one wish granted so you might want to take some time thinking about it as it's the only thing you will get aside from keeping your memories." it added before he could ask more.

'Ok well. I guess it's good I'm getting a wish, however if I don't know where I'm going I can't wish for something to help me survive and thrive in that specific world.' he though.

"Can you give me at least some idea of where I will be going?" he asked hoping for anything to help him decide.

"Well you will be randomly sent to a world in the near infinite multi-verse. It could be a world practically the same as your current one. It could be one that's similar to your current one, however not as advanced or the opposite and like your last world would be in the far future. It could even be a world with magic or other things considered supernatural in your last universe. It could even be a fictional world you are familiar with as the multi-verse is so numerous that just about every imagined universe has had a chance of actually existing through sheer probability" he answered.

'Well fuck. That's of no help at all. What if I reincarnate as a freaking bacteria or molerat in another universe? I would need multiple wishes not to be screwed. How unlucky do I have to be?' he though to himself starting to despair.

'Wait! ...LUCK!' he suddenly had an epiphany.

'If where I get sent and what I will be there are completely random then the only thing that can help me get through it and possibly have a good outcome would be luck itself. Most wishes for something specific might be great if those two work out. However who would like to be an immortal insect or something along those lines and wishing to be humanoid or human would be an immense waste of a wish.' he reasons to himself.

"It seems you've made up your mind." it tells him.

"Yes, I wish my soul was giving the highest base luck value possible within the limits of the wish." he says confidently.

"Not bad. That's rather clever. It also takes into account any possible limits the wish we granted might have. Ok granted" it nods as it considers the wish before it snaps its fingers.

"Uhm. Is that it?" he asks.

"Well I could have done it without the snap. I'm omnipotent after all, but figured you would like me to at least do something beyond saying ok to signify it being done." it responded casually.

He just kind of sat there awkwardly and decided to take sip from the tea as a distraction.

'Damn, that's some great tea!' he though after tasting what was by far the best tea he had ever had in his life. Considering he had been somewhat of a tea aficionado that was saying a lot.

"Well it was made to perfectly suit your tastes after all. It would be impossible to achieve a tea tailored this well to you in any world." it informed him.

"Sooo... what now?" he asked since it really seemed like there was nothing else to discuss beyond his wish. He considered asking about his supposed death, but after the warning about trauma regarding memories related to it he was also a bit concerned even if this all might be a dream or delusion.
