The group led by Ataru, and Caro continued to camp along the way, and by the next day the group had reached the southern mountains.

"The cave’s here......."

Flaria muttered to herself as she gazed at the gaping mouth of the cave. It looked like an ordinary cave, but the thought of the large number of golems that awaited her sent a shiver down her spine.

"Oh, we encountered some golems a little ways in, but the giant golem is probably farther back. ...... I blocked the way because I didn't want it to come into town when we escaped before, so I don't know exactly what's going on.”

Ataru, who was also looking at the end of the cave, stood next to Flaria and explained the situation in the cave again.

"I see. I'm sorry to have to ask you two. ......But would you to lead the way?"

Flaria knew what was going on, and Flaria thought that if the two of them, who had survived the battle with the large number of golems, that were ahead of them, they would not suffer a major loss of life[1].

"That's fine, but no questions about my weapon, please. This is a secret weapon that has been in my family for generations. If you leak any ...... information, you will not be able to get back alive."

These words were the result of adopting Caro's idea that they had talked about on the road. Ataru's performance as he spoke while gently stroking his beloved gun with a hard expression was truly imposing, and Flaria gulped and nodded.

"Yes, sir! I'll let everyone know."[2]

"Please, so we can get going?"

This is because Ataru and Caro were already ready to go. Eustace, who had already pulled the wagon by Caro's lead, was secured to a nearby tree.

"Right, ...... Everyone, we're about to enter the cave, get ready!"

"Oh!!"

At Flaria's call, the adventurers raised their weapons and replied in unison, their voices full of motivation. The adventurers seemed to have a lot of energy, as if they had never had the chance to fight monsters before.

"Okay, Caro, let's go."

"Yes, Ataru-sama!"

Nodding to each other, the two stepped into the cave ahead of the others and proceeded to explore their surroundings with concentration. Flaria felt her body go numb as the two of them showed such concentration that they could change the air in an instant. She knew from the first time she spoke to them that they were capable, but it was because she had actually seen a part of it right in front of her.[3]

The other adventurers were overwhelmed by the aura they gave off, and they followed them closely behind in a state of shock.

After several minutes of traveling, Ataru signaled with his right hand to stop the group's movement. Caro exchanged a glance with Ataru and nodded, as if to confirm their mutual understanding.

Several other adventurers seemed to have noticed it as well, but Ataru and Caro had caught sight of the golem a little ahead of them. Apparently, the path that was supposed to have been blocked during the previous escape, but seeing the golem here, they knew that they had broken through it.

"The number is two. Caro, we'll do the same as last time."

"Yes!"

When Ataru spoke of his plan in a controlled voice, clearly knowing what he was talking about, Caro nodded firmly and jumped out with great force.

"Wait! You can't be serious!"

For those who didn't know her abilities, they were surprised that a young beastman girl went up against a golem by herself, and they couldn't help but shout in condemnation.

"Damn, I guess they figured it out first."[4]

Ataru clicks his tongue in frustration. The golem had reacted to the other adventurer's voice earlier and was looking at Caro, Ataru and the others. It's a good idea to have a good idea of what's going on in your life, but it's also a good idea to have a good idea of what's going on in your life.

As Ataru had expected, Caro was in no hurry at all, and calmly took the golem's attack and parried it. The adventurer who had raised his voice earlier looked on with a stunned expression, wondering where such power could be found in such a small body.

"Oh, hey, you're not going!"

One of the anxious adventurers called out to Ataru, but it didn't reach his ears as he was concentrating.

Then, just like last time, he timed his attacks perfectly and shot out the magic channel* with one shot. The two of them coordinated their attacks so well that one of the golems fell to the ground in no time at all.[5]

"Huh!?"

The adventurer, not understanding what Ataru had done, shouted in surprise when he saw the golem fall with a loud noise. They could not hide their surprise because they knew that a golem was not something that could be defeated that easily due to its rigid body.

"Hey! What the fuck did you do!?"

The adventurers called for more questions, but Ataru ignored them all and waited quietly with his gun at the ready for Caro to make her next move.

Some of them tried to numbly shake Ataru's shoulders and force him to respond at any cost, but Klaus, sensing Ataru's concentration, stopped those adventurers.

"Don't do that. Stay out of his way."

In the meantime, Caro pops the golem's arm up again, and Ataru attacks and defeats the golem successfully.

"Fu ...... Caro is getting used to it."

"Ataru-sama, you're as accurate as ever with your attacks."

While the two were praising each other's performance, the adventurers, unable to hold back, surrounded them.

"Hey, what the hell was that?"

The man who came to Ataru with irritation was a member of another party. He has his hair shaved, and the man who is two heads bigger than Ataru, shouts at Ataru in a loud voice as if to threaten him. Caro is holding her long ears and shrugging her shoulders because of how loud he is.[6]

"...... I have no obligation to explain. I thought I informed the guildmaster that I would not be explaining my weapons?"

After telling him plainly that he did not want to deal with him, Ataru avoided the man and tried to move on. He knew that since he had the approval of the guildmaster, he had no reason to get involved.

"Hey!"

Still unconvinced, the man grabbed Ataru's shoulders forcibly, but no matter how much strength he put into his grip, Ataru didn't move an inch.

"Can you let go of me?"

The man felt a chill run down his spine as Ataru spoke in a calm voice that made the air turn cold. The man was confident in his strength, but now that he was close to him, he could not help but realize that he had made a mistake in picking a fight with him.

"Oh!" ...... Ah, uh, ...... I'm sorry."

The instinctive part of him sensed something of Ataru's hidden strength in the hand that grabbed him. Realizing that it was ringing alarm bells violently, the man scowled and pulled back.

"Who the hell are you two?"

It was Klaus who asked the pure question to Ataru, who was having such an exchange. His usual refreshing smile disappeared, and he quietly looked at Ataru.

"We're just adventurers, just like you. Except we fight a little bit differently than you."

When Ataru turned around, he replied in an emotionless voice and went on his way, as if he had no intention to speak further.

"Just a little bit......."

Stunned, Klaus muttered to himself, and could only watch Ataru's back as he gradually moved away.

"Perhaps they have some kind of power. If the stories I've heard are correct, they were able to escape the attack of a large number of golems. All we can do is trust them."

Flaria, who was standing next to Klaus, said so in such a way that only he, who seemed to be able to judge calmly, could hear her. Thinking about the overwhelming difference in ability that was just shown in front of her eyes, she had to believe in Ataru.

After that, every time we went deeper into the city, we came across several golems, which Ataru and Caro quickly defeated each time. And since they don't need to collect the cores after they defeat them, they quickly move on.

When they were approaching the space where the giant golem was, Ataru and Caro stopped at a considerable distance away from it, having been spotted by the giant golem even from a hidden position last time.

"Are you sure this is the right place?"

Flaria asks with a stiff expression, but Ataru gestures for her to be quiet with a finger over his mouth.

"......Everyone please be quiet."

The adventurers who saw them gasped. It was an unpleasant reminder that Ataru was the main force in this battle so far. Ataru called out in a low tone, but in such a way that his allies could hear him.

"The last time we were far enough away, the giant golem spotted us. I think we'll be fine if we're further away than we were then, but I've put more distance between us just in case."

Flaria's expression turned difficult at his words. There were obstacles and it was too far away, and from here she could only vaguely see that there was still a cave in the back.

"But I can't tell how many enemies there are or where they are from here......."

If Flaria didn't know the strength of the two sides, she wouldn't be able to make a plan.

"...... Wait a minute. I'll go check it out."

Ataru knew that he and Caro couldn't deal with the situation alone, so he didn't wait for an answer, but slowly made his way to the back alone. Caro seemed to know what she was going to do and waited there to rest her body as much as possible without following Ataru.

"Now, I suppose we'll have to rely on the power of my eyes here."

When he gets to a place where he is far away from the group of adventurers, he concentrates his magic power into his eyes. His pale blue eye pierce through the rocks and walls to show all the enemy's positioning in detail.

After memorizing these things, Ataru came back to the group.

(Garde’s corner: Seriously though I’m really bruntout form translating. While trying to balance it with going to school and my hobbies.
