“I think the shop Mr. Ferpaw mentioned should be around here somewhere,” Narias was trying to look around, but it was slightly difficult to see due to the street they were in being so overcrowded.

“Geez… So many people,” Flavia gasped.

“It is past midday now and this is the Crafters District in El’Roonst. However, differently from the Mazaar Shopping District, this one is full of shops run by the tailors, blacksmiths, tool makers and many other crafters alike. Other than selling their goods on the shop floor, they also take custom orders to craft whatever their clients want,” Ileena adjusted her glasses after explaining it. Her smarts only added to her already attractive, elegant looks.

“Wow, you certainly know a lot, Ileena,” Flavia was impressed with how much Ileena knew.

“I’m sorry, but I’ve never been to this part of the city before,” Emilia was feeling a little uncomfortable being somewhere she hasn’t been before.

“That’s ok, Emilia. I hadn’t been here myself as well,” Nicky told her, helping Emilia relax a bit.

“I’ve been a few times,” Growly admitted reluctantly.

“Oh, great. Do you know where the shop your dad recommended is, Growly?” Narias asked.

“I’ve been to that shop only once. I think… it’s in that direction,” the chubby bear boy motioned with his hand.

“Alright, let’s check it out,” Flavia marched forward.

“Flavia, wait up. Sigh…” Narias wasn’t really surprised about his bunny girlfriend rushing forward.

The students were passing many different shops. Tool shops, armor and weapon shops, household goods shops, shoe and garment shops, and many more other shops. There were definitely enough shops to choose from here. Other than normal item crafting shops, there were more than a few stores that offered magic enchanting services too. Meaning, you could bring a normal item, like a garment, a weapon, an accessory, or a tool even, and the enchanter could imbue some sort of magic into it. Of course, the service was quite costly and, more often than not, you’d have to bring the extra materials needed to have it done.

The Crafter’s District wasn’t very popular among young people, however. This is where folks would come to do business more than to have fun or to browse the goods just for the sake of passing time. If you wanted a specific item to be made, this was the place to find the best craftsman or craftswoman for the job. If you wanted to buy some materials in bulk, this was the place to show off your negotiation skills. They had bakeries and food shops here too, but people would come there to eat more than anything else. All the restaurants looked nice and welcoming from the outside, but they weren’t as fancy as in the center of the city. This wasn’t the best place for young people to hang out in, or to invite someone to go on a date for that matter.

Still, the number of the shops was vast and varied to draw a huge crowd of people every day. Some stores looked better than the others, but each store had something useful to offer, even if it was selling normal, everyday tools.

“Hey, I think I found it,” Flavia pointed with her finger at the shop with a lot of people waiting outside.

“~Norella’s Enchanting Garments~,” Narias read the shop’s name on the sign above the entrance. “Yes, this must be it.”

“So many people,” Emilia gasped in surprise when the group came closer.

“This shop must be very popular,” Nicky added with a cute smile on her face.

“I think dad ordered a new dress for my mom on her last birthday here. My mom was very happy with it,” Growly remembered.

“Wow, your dad did that? He must love your mom very much,” Nicky told him.

“Yes. They… like each other,” the bear looking beast-boy scratched his cheek with one finger, looking away.

“But how are we gonna get in? This place is so crowded,” Flavia said with a frown.

“We’ll just have to wait in line, I guess,” Narias smiled at his bunny girlfriend.

“Look, they have an outside stall set up as well. Maybe we can ask the person over there?” Ileena suggested.

“Good idea,” Flavia instantly agreed, which made Nicky giggle too.

“Hello there,” Narias greeted the person at the counter after the customer in front of them bought what they wanted and left.

“Good day to you. My name is Gilenni. What are you looking to buy today?” a cat-looking beast-woman greeted the students politely.

“Oh, sorry. My name is Narias Talrone. And actually, we have some fur with us and were wondering if you could craft something out of it?” Narias introduced himself before asking a question.

“But of course. We take custom orders to craft garments for our clients too. However, we are so busy lately, the wait time would be about ten days. Would you like me to put you on the waiting list, Mr. Narias Talrone?” Gilenni asked politely.

“Ten days waiting time?” Flavia’s jaw dropped.

“Ah…” Narias smiled awkwardly in response to Flavia’s reaction.

“Flavia,” Ileena threw a scolding glare at the bunny girl for acting so impolite. However, it didn’t look like the shop assistant was offended by it.

“Excuse me, could you tell me how it works in more detail?” Narias asked the question to smoothen the situation.

“Certainly. First of all, I would need to take your details. Then, I would need to write down all the information about what you’d like to be made. Our shop has a varied selection of many different materials to choose from, but you can always provide your own materials. It will lower the cost of the garment you want to make. I will collect all the information and give you a date when to come for us take your measurements and to discuss what you want in more detail. You’ll have to pay half the price in advance before we take on the job and the other half after the work is done. Would you like me to take your details to set up an appointment with us, Mr. Talrone?” Gilenni finished her explanation with a question to set up an appointment.

Wow, she’s so polite, but also so business oriented. Narias was impressed with Gilenni’s respectful, yet business-like attitude.

“Ah, sorry. Did you say the waiting time is ten days, Miss Gilenni?” Narias asked to confirm.

“I will have to check our schedule first, but that is the average wait time right now,” the cat-looking female assistant informed.

“Can you give us a minute to discuss it, please?” Narias asked.

“Certainly,” the person smiled in agreement.

“Ten days waiting time is a long time,” patience wasn’t Flavia’s strong point.

“The shop looks popular, which also means the garments they make are high quality too,” Nicky pointed out.

“Yes, the few dresses on the display look really pretty,” Emilia took a peek to check a few garments on display.

“Are you thinking of finding a different shop, Narias?” Ileena asked, seeing him think about something.

“Ah, no, no. I was just wondering who’s name to give. I don’t think all of us need to register for the appointment, but we haven’t yet decided what we want to be made,” Narias explained his thoughts.

“Hey, that’s right. We should decide that first. Also, it’d be better if the same person who comes for the appointment would hold on to the Fanged Whitemane Wolf’s Fur too,” Flavia added.

“That’s true, but Nicky and I have no business in the matter. It’s between the four of you to decide what you want to be made,” Ileena said.

“I don’t need fur,” Growly said casually, which also sounded funny, considering he was all covered in fur himself. It made Nicky giggle as a result too.

“Ok, so then…” Flavia was about to suggest something.

“Excuse me,” suddenly, Gilenni addressed the students. “I’m so sorry for intruding, but did you just mention that you have Fanged Whitemane Wolf’s Fur with you?”

“Oh, yes we do,” Flavia answered her question.

“Again, I apologize for asking, but do you mind showing it to me?” The cat-looking female shop assistant asked politely again.

“Sure,” Flavia had no problem with it. She quickly took it out of her bag.

“This is…” Gilenni’s eyes became wide from the surprise after seeing the fur. “Would you mind waiting here for a minute? I will be right back.”

“Yes, that’s fine,” Narias told her.

“Please, excuse me,” the female shop assistant bowed down politely and went inside the main shop.

“What was that all about?” Flavia tilted her head to the side, looking puzzled.

Other students just shrugged, not exactly knowing what to think of it.

“I’m really sorry for making you wait like that,” Gilenni returned after a few short minutes. “Miss Norella asked me to invite you to see her now.”

“What? Really?” Narias was surprised to hear that.

“Wow, what a surprise,” Nicky exclaimed, clapping her hands as well.

“Nicky… it’s rude to act like that,” Ileena reprimanded her friend.

“Sorry,” the tiny girl chuckled, covering her mouth with one hand.

“But that’s good, isn’t it? It would’ve been a pain to wait for so long, or to go look for someone else,” Flavia didn’t see anything wrong with it.

“I’m really sorry about what I said earlier. Miss Norella is extremely busy, and we get… a lot of time wasters, which also detracts our Mistress from her work. Please don’t take it the wrong way, we absolutely value our clients. It’s just that… many people don’t value Miss Norella’s time,” the cat-looking beast-woman bowed down in front of the students.

So, that was the real reason why she said we’d have to wait for so long. Narias realized the real reason behind it.

“Hey, that’s… quite ok,” Flavia rubbed the back of her head, feeling embarrassed about her comment to go find someone else.

“Please, accept our apology for being so rude to you,” Ileena took initiative to apologize to Gilenni as well.

“Ah, yes. Please, forgive us,” added Narias, bowing his head slightly.

“No need to apologize. This way, please,” Gilenni, who didn’t seem to be offended by what the students have said, motioned with one hand for the students to follow her.

“Wooow, you just look at that…” Flavia’s jaw dropped after the group entered the shop.

“Amazing… I had never seen such beautiful clothes before,” Nicky exclaimed, not even trying to supress her amazement.

“Nicky…” Ileena tried to remind her friend to be more self-conscious about how she behaved.

“Oh, don’t act like that, Ileena. You’ve been staring at the dresses from the moment we have entered the shop yourself,” the tiny girl wasn’t about to let it slide this time.

“I… uhm…” Ileena became embarrassed after being caught staring herself.

“Indeed, these garments are of an astonishing quality. They are very well made and look extraordinary exquisite,” Emilia, who was as impressed with the quality and beauty of the goods inside the shop as anyone else, was the only one to express her thoughts in a calm, eloquent manner.

“My, my, what a delight to hear such compliments about my wares. I am quite humbled to hear such praise,” the students heard a pleasant woman’s voice suddenly.

The group turned towards whoever has said that and saw a beautifully dressed woman standing a short distance away. She had an open, dazzlingly decorated fan, which the woman was using to cover part of her face. Even if she was trying to hide behind the fan, with only her eyes visible, it was evident she was a beast-human. Her hands, as well as the visible part of her head, with two sharp, five or six inches in length, ears sticking out on top of her head were covered in fur too. Her fur was white in color, but some small parts of it had an eloquent shade of black stripes here and there. It almost looked like tattoos, but obviously it wasn’t so.

The woman was wearing an extravagant, mainly white in color, dress. It had long sleeves, open V-neck decolette and was long enough to reach her ankles. The dress was decorated with astoundingly well fit ribbon laces, white and black in color, with an added lines of red too. A few red and blue gems were masterfully sewed inside the fabric around the chest part of the dress. That just added that fabulous spark to an already beautiful garment, in addition to emphasising the magnificent bosom the woman had.

Due to the way the woman was holding herself, her long, fluffy, white tail was barely distinguishable from the dress she wore. It almost looked like the tail was part of the dress. If the woman hadn’t moved from the spot, you wouldn’t probably even noticed she had a tail at all. Her presence left the students speechless and in awe.

“Oh, please do forgive my rudeness,” the astoundingly dazzling beast-woman removed the fan from her face, then bowed down graciously in a ladylike manner. “My name is Norella Froxen. I am the owner of this humble shop. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”

As soon as she removed the fan, the students could see her full face. Her face resembled a fox’s face, but looked much more feminine, leaning towards a normal human’s face.

Wow, so beautiful… Narias had never seen such a beautiful beast-woman before. And her body lines looked more of a human than of a beast. Oh, ahem. Where are my manners? I shouldn’t be spacing out like that.

“Greetings Miss Froxen. My name is Narias Talrone. It’s an honor to meet you,” Narias bowed down just how he would if he was meeting someone at one of the social gatherings he used to go with his mom.

“Wow, such eloquent manners. You must come from quite an upstart family, Mr. Talrone,” Norella Froxen covered her face with the fan again.

“Hello madam. My name is Ileena Sanli. It is a pleasure to meet you,” Ileena followed Narias’s example. The rest of the group greeted the shop owner as well, introducing themselves one after another.

“Such an honor to see so many young people in my shop. And Growly, it has been a while. I remember your father ordered a garment for your mother the last time you two came me, but he hasn’t visited my shop since then. I do hope it is not because the dress wasn’t to your mother’s standards?” The way Norella Froxen said it sounded like she was worried Growly’s mom didn’t like the garment.

“No, mom loved the dress. But dad is very busy lately,” Growly explained in a few words as he usually does.

“Really? That is so reassuring to hear. Please, give my regards to your parents the next time you see them,” the shop owner’s smile was visible only in her eyes, because she was still holding her fan in front of her face. “Now, let me not waste your valuable time. My assistant, Gilenni, has told me that you have a request to ask of me?”

“Ah, yes, Miss Froxen. We have the Fanged Whitemane Wolf’s Fur and thought you might be able to make something out of it,” Narias informed her.

“How curious… I most certainly could offer my leatherworking or tailoring services to you. But first, may I see the fur, please?” Norella’s eyes sparked with curious anticipation.

“Sure,” Flavia took it out of her bag again.

“Hmm… what a splendid quality fur,” it took only one glance for the shop owner to assess the quality of the fur. “I would very much love to hear more about your request. But in the meantime, Gilenni, if you please?”

“Yes, ma’am,” the assistant, who was quietly standing there all this time, bowed down and left the shop floor for some reason.

“Now, could you tell me more about what you’d like to be crafted out of this magnificent fur, please?” Norella Froxen turned towards the students again.
