“This… would be the room for you to stay for the night,” Belinda opened a door to a room.

Again, the room’s walls and ceilings had carvings on them, mostly about nature too. In addition to various birds, there were other animal images carved here as well. They were mainly small, cute animals to add a playful vibe to the room’s atmosphere. Add to that the butterflies sitting on the flowers and you wouldn’t mistake the room to be meant for a child.

“Ok. Thank you, Miss Salroze. Whoaah…” said Narias, and instantly gasped at another wondrous sight.

I haven’t seen such craftsmanship even in any of the art museums I used to visit back in my world. Miss Salroze’s grandfather must’ve been an extraordinary craftsman. He was amazed by how detailed and ‘alive’ the birds and animals seemed to be.

“Sorry. That’s the only available room I have that has a bed in it,” Miss Salroze, on the other hand, felt a little uncomfortable about offering a child’s room to an almost grownup young man.

“Your grandfather was definitely the most outstanding craftsman. The birds in the main room were amazing, but this room looks even more alive. Such attention to detail… This is…” however, Narias wasn’t bothered by it in the least. Instead, he was awestruck by what he was seeing.

“Oh… thank you. Yes, my grandfather was… a wonderful man,” Narias’s comment made Belinda remember her grandfather again, which also made the teacher become slightly emotional.

“Wow…” Narias came closer to the wall, and run through the lines of a carved animal with his finger, which somewhat resembled a hedgehog from Anthony’s world.

He’s… really honest about it. I never thought anyone would be so enthralled by my grandfather’s work. He sure is full of surprises. Humph… Belinda was staring at Narias, who was inspecting every carving with a very careful yet enthusiastic curiosity.

“Ahem. I… apologize, but I wouldn’t have any pajamas for you I’m afraid,” Belinda finally said.

“Oh, no problem. After all, I showed up without any prior notice and… neither of us could’ve known that the driver won’t show up to take me back home,” Narias was feeling uncomfortable about staying overnight himself. There was another thing he was a little worried about. “And don’t worry, Miss Salroze. I’ll just keep to myself, so I won’t get in the way for you two.”

“Eh? For… What do you mean ‘for you two’?” Belinda was confused about his last comment.

“For you and your husband, of course. I take it he’s working late tonight?” He answered with an added question to confirm.

“WHAT? M… my husband?” That just threw Belinda off.

“Huh? S… sorry. Did I… say something wrong?” Narias started to worry he was being too rude with his comment.

“Ahem, don’t worry. You had… said nothing wrong. It’s just that… I don’t have a husband. I live by myself,” she admitted.

“What? Really? Ah, that was so rude of me. Please forgive me, Miss Salroze. I just thought because you’re such an attractive and good-looking woman you’d have a husband,” Narias commented, rubbing the back of his head with one hand while feeling ashamed for jumping into such assumption.

ATTRACTIVE AND GOOD-LOOKING?! Belinda almost shouted it out loud. She stood there staring at Narias without a blink in her eyes. Is he… serious?

“Th… thank you… for the compliment,” the female teacher’s cheeks were burning red so bright they almost glowed.

“Oh, aah… Sorry… for being so direct about it,” Narias realized his compliment had put his teacher in another uncomfortable situation.

“Well then, it’s… getting late now…” Belinda quickly turned her back towards Narias, wanting to hide her flustered face more than anything else. “I have to… take care of the dishes still, but… I wish you a goodnight.”

“Yes, goodnight, Miss Salroze,” he wished her as well.

Maaan… this is so embarrassing. I’ve put Miss Salroze in such an awkward position. I should’ve kept my mouth shut. Narias was scolding himself in his head after Belinda was gone. Baah… Too late now. Miss Salroze must be really mad at me now. That’s why she left the room in such a hurry too. Sigh… Can’t be helped now. I suppose I should probably go to bed but… it’s not that late yet.

It wasn’t that late, but there was nothing else for Narias to do. The room he was supposed to spend the night in didn’t have any books for him to read either. He saw a handful of books stacked on a shelf in the main room, but it would’ve been too rude of him to take them without asking. So, Narias went to bed hoping he will be able to fall asleep.

{after about two or three hours}

This is bad… I can’t fall asleep at all… Narias thought to himself, laying in bed and looking at the ceiling. It was too dark to see the carvings clearly, but the shapes of birds flying in the sky were more or less visible.

He had spent the last few hours turning and tossing in the bed, with no success of falling asleep. Maybe it was because he was spending the night at his teacher’s house, or because of how much food he had eaten, or because he couldn’t get over what he had said to Miss Salroze earlier, Narias wasn’t feeling sleepy at all.

In situations like these, Narias would jump out of his bed and grab a book to read. After an hour or so reading, he’d hit the bed again and would fall asleep soon after. Unfortunately, there were no books available for him this time. The more he was forcing himself to fall asleep, the more awake her felt.

Baah… I feel so thirsty and I need to go to the bathroom too. Huh? How does that even work? Narias let out a deep sigh, realizing the contradiction of his own thoughts.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t ignore the nature’s calling no matter how strong-willed he was. He had to get out of the bed and go to the bathroom if he wished to fall asleep at some point. After putting his pants on, he almost tiptoed to the bathroom, so he wouldn’t wake up one other person sleeping in the house.

Maybe I can find something to drink in the kitchen? A glass of water would be more than enough. Narias thought right before he was about to turn towards his room after leaving the bathroom.

Luckily, the kitchen was empty. It was quite dark, but his eyes were getting used to it little by little. He found an empty glass on a kitchen counter and was about to look for a pitcher with the water when he heard footsteps closing in.

Oh, crap. Footsteps? Did I wake Miss Salroze up? Narias became worried, which also made him freeze on a spot.

“For crying out loud. I can’t fall asleep at all,” he heard Belinda’s voice, which was also closing in the longer she spoke. “It’s all his fault… Calling me attractive and good-looking… And then there’s this Thank You card… Sigh… I need a drink. Where is that glass?”

Belinda knew her house like a palm of her hand, so she wasn’t even looking where she was going. It was dark, but it wasn’t a problem for her. She knew where all the stuff was, because she was the one who was putting them away all the time. So, without much struggle, Belinda reached for a glass to pour herself something to drink. She didn’t even bother looking to see if there was someone else in the kitchen.

“Huh? Wha…” instead of grabbing a glass from the kitchen counter however, Belinda’s hand touched another hand. That forced the little sleepiness she still had evaporate in an instant. “Who’s there!? What are you doing in my house?! Lightning…”

“Waaait, Miss Salroze! It’s me, Narias!” Narias had a good reason to panic.

“Eh? What?” The teacher stopped her spellcasting at the last moment. She quickly reached for the table lamp and lit it up to make some light. “You? What are you doing here?”

“Sorry, Miss Salroze. I… I couldn’t fall asleep and… I became thirsty, so I- Huh?” Narias started to explain himself, but was quickly taken aback by an incredible sight in front of him. “Oh, aaah…”

He tried to look away, but it was too late. When Belinda lit the lamp to make some light, so she could see better, Narias was able to see better as well. And of course, he saw Belinda in her night pajama dress which, for better or worse, made his blood rush not only to his cheeks.

Belinda was wearing a rather sexy one-piece pajama dress, which was dark-cherry red in color, and was held only by two tiny laces that were going over her shoulders. It had a V shaped laced, black in color, and almost transparent decollete at the top. It very smoothly, if only through the fabric, emphasised the inner lines of her breasts. The pajama dress was slightly loose, more so around Belinda’s waist, but it was still tight enough at the top to accentuate her wonderful bosom. Her charming, cute nipples, with the right one pressed against the fabric just slightly more due to how she was standing, didn’t go unnoticed by Narias’s eager eyes.

Obviously, he tried to drop his stare down to pretend to be a gentleman, but fell into another trap. Belinda’s pajama dress was shorter than he expected it would be. The same laced, black in color finish was at the very bottom of it, but her pajama dress was so short, it barely covered Belinda’s hips. In fact, if Narias dared to look, he’d be able to see the very bottom line of her panties, which were in the same dark-cherry color too.

Well, even if he wasn’t trying to see how her panties looked, he couldn’t miss the sight of her wonderful, long, athletically built legs. She was barefoot too, which shouldn’t have been a surprise, considering she was in her bed just a minute ago. Narias had put his pants on before walking out of his room, but he was barefoot right now as well.

Needless to say, the view in front of Narias was nothing but enticing. He tried to act normal and did everything he could to look directly in her eyes. It was easier said than done, of course. His eyes inadvertently would jump down to enjoy the view of Belinda’s body lines. When Narias’s eyes weren’t looking at her bosom, they’d jump to enjoy the view of her hips, not forgetting to gaze upon her wonderful legs. The pajama dress Belinda was wearing made her look excruciatingly alluring.

“Sigh… Don’t scare me like that. I was about to blast you with my lightning spell. Are you… Huh? What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like…” Belinda was still ‘waking up’ but then suddenly remembered where they were, what time it was and what she was wearing. She could see Narias was trying to hold himself in check and not stare at her too much, but that didn’t change the fact that he had already seen her in her full pajama dress glory. The, now flustered to no end, female teacher brushed her violet-color hair away, trying to pretend to be calm. “There’s some… fresh water in that pitcher over there. Why don’t you… have a drink? I… have to go to the bathroom. Excuse me…”

“Right… Thank you… Miss Salroze,” Narias quickly turned away and reached for the pitcher on the kitchen counter.

Belinda turned around and quickly left the kitchen. Narias was pouring himself some water, but his eyes still couldn’t miss a chance to glance at the walking away stunningly-looking teacher, catching the sight of her fabulous underbum.

HEY, COME ON! You can’t do that! Narias scolded himself in his head, but only after it happened. This is… the worst thing ever…

He went on to drink two glasses of cold water instantly, almost choking in the process. Just when he was about to pour a third glass for himself, he noticed something laying on the floor.

Huh? Is that… He squatted to pick the thing he saw up. It was the same Thank You card he gave to Miss Salroze as part of their Thank You gift. Did it fall down from the table accidentally?

Right at the same time, when Narias was still leaning at the floor, Belinda came back to the kitchen wearing a yellow color dressing gown on top of her pajama dress. The female teacher made sure she was keeping herself covered properly this time.

“Huh? Why… are you on the floor?” Belinda found him squatting and leaning to the floor puzzling.

“Ah, sorry, Miss Salroze. I found the card on the floor. Here,” Narias extended the card to her.

“The card? Oh? I must’ve… dropped it earlier…” her cheeks flushed after taking it off Narias’s hands. Not that they weren’t red before that.

Dropped it earlier? Oh, she must’ve pushed it away when she was about to cast her spell. Narias was still thinking the card was left on the kitchen’s table to begin with.

“Did you have a drink yet?” Belinda asked, holding on to her dressing gown with one hand.

“Ah, yes. Thank you, Miss Salroze,” Narias had more than one glass of water already, but felt like he would like to drink some more.

“I’ll just… have some too,” the teacher went on to pour a glass of water for herself.

“So… I guess… I’ll go back to bed,” Narias felt so awkward, all he wanted was to remove himself from Miss Salroze’s sight.

“But… didn’t you say you had a hard time falling asleep?” Belinda threw a question at him right before he managed to disappear.

“Ah, yeah…” Narias rubbed the back of his neck. “I’m sure I will fall asleep… eventually.”

“Then… if you don’t feel like sleeping… would you like to have some cake?” Belinda asked without turning to face him.

“Huh? Well… uhm…” he was surprised to hear her sudden offer and didn’t know whether he should accept or not.

“Sorry. You… you don’t have to if you don’t want to. I just thought if you were having a difficult time falling asleep, we could spend some time… Ahm… never mind. Goodnight,” the teacher was still facing with her back towards him as she spoke.

Oh, she’s probably having a difficult time falling asleep herself. It’s really awkward, but… maybe I should keep her company after all? Narias debated in his head about the situation he was in.

“Actually, I’d love to have some cake… if it’s not too much trouble for you, Miss Salroze?” He finally said with a smile.

“Really? Right, ok,” Belinda turned around to face him this time. Narias could see a pleasant relief on her face. “How about… I prepare some tea too?”

“That’d be… lovely,” he accepted her offer to have some tea as well.

“Would you mind… waiting in the living room? I’ll bring it over there when I get it ready,” they could’ve sat at the kitchen table, but for some reason, Belinda wanted to sit in the living room. “There’s a lamp on the round table next to a couch. Why don’t you light it up? We can sit on the couch instead of the main table.”

“Yes, ok,” Narias didn’t mind. He excused himself politely and left the kitchen right after.

“Sigh… This definitely won’t help me fall asleep. What am I doing here anyway?” Belinda spoke to herself in half whisper when she was left alone in the kitchen.
