The carriage that Narias and his girlfriends were to travel in was different than the one they took to get from the academy’s campus to El’Roonst. Compared to a regular carriage that travelled shorter distances, the one they got on to go Narias’s parents place was much more spacious. The interior inside was decorated to please the eye, with retractable curtains on the windows, soft seating and additional cushions for a more comfy ride. The carriage was bigger in size as well, more so to have additional space to fit all the luggage the travelers would bring along with them. On the outside, it looked just like any other carriage, so it wouldn’t attract the unwanted attention, but the inside gave a very luxurious vibe.

“Wow, this looks so awesome,” Flavia gasped, instantly impressed with how the inside of the carriage looked.

“Indeed, the red color seats and curtains supplement the brown wooden ornaments on the walls and around the windows, adding that visual appeal.” Ileena added, throwing a quick glance around.

“They also have cushions for us too. How kind of them,” Emilia was happy about that part.

“Hey, everyone ok?” Narias climbed into the carriage last.

“Of course. Here, come sit here, partner,” Flavia slapped her hand a few times on the seating right next to her.

“Thanks,” Narias squeezed himself in between Flavia and Ileena while Emilia made herself comfortable on the seat on opposite side in front of them.

“So, when are we leaving?” Flavia was excited to get going, peeking out of the window now and then.

“The coachman is putting all our luggage away right now. We’ll leave as soon as he’s done,” Narias answered.

“Wait, is it only the four of us?” Flavia was puzzled, but in a good way.

“Well, yes. My parents booked the carriage only for me, so…” he explained.

“Really? So, we’ll have all this space just for us? Cool,” his answer made Flavia extra happy.

“But then… if we didn’t come, does that mean you would’ve traveled all by yourself?” Ileena wanted to know.

“Well, yeah…” Narias smiled at her.

“It would be totally boring traveling on my own,” Flavia frown in a cute manner.

“It probably would,” Emilia was amused by Flavia’s facial expression.

“Huh? Oh, we’re moving. Finally,” Flavia glanced through the window, excited they were leaving the city.

“How long will it take to reach your home, Narias?” Emilia asked, gently pushing her braided ponytail hair to the side.

“Since the carriage was hired to take me directly to my parents’ estate, I’d say we should reach my parents’ estate before late evening. But that also depends how many times and for how long we’ll stop on the way,” Narias told her.

“But didn’t you say we’d have to go to some city before going to your parents’ house?” Flavia remembered him saying that, but couldn’t recall the name of the town.

“Ah, yes. It’s called Marnas. At first, I thought I’ll be taking the regular transport to Marnas since no transport runs directly to my parents’ house from El’Roonst. But then I found out that my parents had hired someone to take me directly home. I’m actually glad that they did. It’ll be faster and more comfortable this way.” Narias let out a sigh of relief, leaning back in his seat.

“For sure,” Flavia was in front of his face with the widest grin ever.

“Eeh!” he did not expect her to do that.

“Flavia…” Ileena dropped her head, sighing deeply.

“What? I’m making Narias feel more comfortable,” she slid closer to Narias, hugging him around his arm.

“Hah,” Emilia couldn’t help but chuckle, seeing how flustered Narias had become.

“Ah, sorry,” Narias smiled at her.

“It’s ok. We can… take turns,” the Ice Princess tried to hide her flushed face behind her hair, but then realized it wasn’t loose, so she couldn’t.

Take turns? That’s… not what I meant. Narias got the hint he was in for a ride.

“That was… very considered of your parents, Narias,” Ileena tried to change the subject, but she also moved to sit closer to her boyfriend, touching his thigh with hers.

Ok, well… they are my girlfriends… Narias was in for a ride.

But the girls were too excited about the trip to keep ‘fighting’ for Narias attention. The talks soon turned to topics seemingly unimportant or just fun. Flavia was very quick to announce how early she had woken up, and then flexed victoriously when she found out nobody had woken up earlier than her. Ileena had brought up the topic about their last Magic Dungeon exploration, reviewing the run and throwing hints what their club would need to focus on to prepare better if they wanted to explore the second floor. Emilia remembered the cooking they did at their student club yesterday, thanking Flavia for teaching her how to cook. And Narias… Narias was simply happy to see all three of his girlfriends to be so cheerful and getting along so well.

“Can you tell me more about your mom, Narias?” Ileena asked him after they finally ran out of topics to talk about. The initial excitement had finally subsided and the everyone had become less talkative. “I… I’m only asking, so I would know how to conduct myself in front of her. I wouldn’t want to come across as being disrespectful, or worse.”

“Oh, yeah. I don’t know anything about your parents myself, partner. I’d like to know more as well,” Flavia joined in, turning to face Narias.

“Yes, if you don’t mind telling us, Narias,” Emilia said, adding a smile.

“I don’t think you should be worried about making a wrong impression on my mom, or my dad. I’m sure you’ll get along the way you are. My mom is very kind and caring, and very understanding too. She had taught me a lot and she was… is very supportive,” Narias told a little bit about his mom.

“Wow, she sounds totally cool,” Flavia exclaimed happily.

“Your mom seems to be a very kindhearted woman,” Emilia agreed.

“What about your dad?” Ileena wanted to know.

“Oh, my dad…” Narias wasn’t sure where to start, looking away and rubbing his cheek with one finger. “You could say he’s a very excitable person.”

“Hah, that’s awesome,” Flavia grinned.

“What do you mean by that, Narias?” Emilia was curious.

“Well, he’s… been teasing me all the time to get a lot of girlfriends at the academy, and…” Narias was still looking away.

“Really? Hah,” Flavia started laughing.

“That’s…” Emilia wanted to say something as well, but couldn’t contain her laughter inside as well.

“So, do your parents know you have multiple girlfriends, Narias?” Ileena didn’t laugh, but her cheeks were charmingly flushed.

“Yes, they do. I wrote about all of you in my letters, but…” Narias paused, giving his girlfriends a half smile.

“But?” Ileena wanted to know the rest.

“But my parents don’t know you’d be coming together with me, so…” he added, catching a worrying blush of his own.

My dad will definitely make me feel embarrassed in front of my girlfriends. Narias tried not to think about it, but he couldn’t help but worry how his dad will react when he sees three girls step out of the carriage together with him.

“Oh, that’s right. We’ve asked to go with you at the last minute… I… I promise I won’t bring any shame to your parents, Narias,” Ileena reassured him, her voice sounding very serious.

“Yeah, I promise I will behave too, partner,” Flavia showed him her cutest smile.

“I’ll be very polite and courteous, Narias,” Emilia added, bringing her braided ponytail to rest at the front.

“No, no. You don’t have to worry about it. Just be yourselves, like you always are. My parents will accept you for who you are,” Narias waved his hands in front of him, feeling overwhelmed by his girlfriends’ eagerness to impress his parents.

The first few hours of the trip were exciting, with the four of them enjoying the sight from outside the carriage’s windows and chatting about various things between themselves. After about five hours of travel, the carriage stopped at a small village for a short rest. They had about an hour to stretch, visit bathroom at the local inn and eat something before moving on. There was still a long way to go and the person in coachman didn’t want to waste too much time.

After another two hours on the road, Flavia was the first one to fall asleep. It was afternoon, but she was too tired, and too comfortable leaning against Narias, which helped her pass out faster. At the beginning of their trip, Flavia was proud to announce she woke up extra early, feeling good about herself to learn the others woke up much later than she did. But that ended up working against her, because her body lacked rest. So, she was peacefully sleeping with her head leaned at Narias’s shoulder while hugging his arm.

The others wanting to let Flavia to have some rest were quiet and didn’t talk much. Ileena took out a book to read while Emilia was enjoying the views outside the window. Narias was leaning with his back at the seat, thinking about something in his mind. His eyes were closed, but he wasn’t sleeping.

“I can move away if you’d like to have some rest too?” Ileena asked, which forced Narias open his eyes and turn his head to face her.

“Ah, no. I was just thinking. I’m not very tired, actually,” he said.

“Oh, I… didn’t mean you, Narias,” Ileena blushed.

“Huh?” Narias was confused at first, but then turned to check on Emilia, who seemed to be trying to find a more comfortable seating position to fall asleep. The Ice Princess was sitting by herself on the seat in front of Narias, Ileena and Flavia.

“It’s… ok. I’ll just… make myself more comfortable on this side.” Emilia didn’t mind, showing a kind smile too.

“No, I don’t think it is,” the book clapped in Ileena’s hand when she closed it with a sudden movement of her fingers. “I believe we need to be fair to each other. Come, sit next to Narias, Emilia.”

It almost sounded like an order.

“Thank you,” Emilia was happy about it. “If I may, Narias?”

Emilia wasn’t shy about snuggling close to him to find the best possible position to make herself comfortable.

Wow, Emilia is totally not shy about… Huh? Oh, she must be really tired. Narias was slightly taken aback by how bold Emilia was to lean at his side, hugging his arm with both of hers. However, he quickly realized that the Ice Princess was much more tired than she tried to show, because she instantly relaxed and was happily falling asleep.

“She had barely slept last night,” Ileena said in half whisper.

“Huh? Really?” Narias tried to be quiet with his words too.

“Yes. Flavia might’ve woken up earlier than anyone else, but Emilia had barely slept at all. She said she was really nervous and couldn’t fall asleep. I… I don’t blame her, I had a hard time falling asleep myself,” Ileena was supposedly still reading her book as she spoke.

“You did? But…” Narias glanced at all of his girlfriends, one at a time until his gaze returned to look Ileena. Her charming, red cheeks sparkled as her eyes were staring back at him. “Ileena?”

“Sigh… I’m so sorry, Narias. We really make it difficult for you, aren’t we?” She smiled, which just made Narias catch a flush, and become a little excited too.

Aaah… it’s becoming… For whatever reason, his excitement level shot up by three levels.

“No, it’s ok. You’re no trouble at all. None of you are,” he tried to sound reassuring.

“Really? Thank you,” Ileena lowered her gaze.

“Of course. I couldn’t have hoped for better girlfriends than I have now. All of you had made my life… brighter and… more exciting, and… richer too.” Narias felt a tighter squeeze on his arm from Emilia’s side, which indicated the Ice Princess probably wasn’t fully asleep just yet. Or maybe it was only his imagination, because Emilia looked very much asleep and was even slightly drooling. “I’m really happy to have all of you with me.”

“That’s… such a wonderful thing to say. I… I’m really happy you think that way about us,” Ileena didn’t know where to hide her adorably flushed face.

“You know, it’s still a long way to go. Maybe you should lay down to have some sleep too?” Narias asked, noticing Ileena was only trying to pretend she wasn’t tired herself.

“But… what about you? I’d like to keep you company,” Ileena didn’t want to take him up on the offer.

“I’m fine. I had a good rest last night. Besides, I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep right now anyway. I’m too excited about seeing my parents soon,” he explained, adding a kind smile.

“Well… in that case…” Ileena slid to one side of her seat, then laid down fully, placing her head on a soft cushion provided. “Just a short nap, ok?”

“Of course,” Narias gave her an encouraging smile.

Soon enough Narias was the only one who wasn’t asleep in the carriage. He was excited to see his parents, but falling asleep last night wasn’t a big issue for him. Unlike his girlfriends, Narias had a good rest. He knew traveling will be physically demanding. Sitting in the carriage for a whole day would wear anyone out, so Narias made sure he’d be full of energy. Besides, he had a hunch his girlfriends would get tired and might fall asleep during their travel at some point. However, being all alone with three sleeping beauties, two of which were cuddled very much close to him, arouse different kind of fantasies for him. To change his focus, Narias picked up the book Ileena was reading earlier, so he wouldn’t think… about the other stuff.
