“Wind Blade. Wind Blade.” Narias was casting spells, training at the arena from the early morning.

“Aren’t you a try-hard, son?” His father asked, appearing out of nowhere.

“Huh? Oh, good morning, dad.” Narias turned to face him.

“What’s got in to you to wake up so early?” Lorenard asked, yet he probably knew the answer.

“I need to get stronger,” was Narias’s answer.

“Do you?” His father wasn’t actually asking a question.

“How do you make your Wind Blade to curve after you cast it, dad?” Narias wanted to know.

“Curve? Sigh… it’s not like I can explain it to you. I make my Wind Blade curve when I cast it, not after. Once you cast a spell, that’s it. If you want to make your spell do something, you do it on the cast.” Lorenard wasn’t exactly great at explaining stuff. “Besides, with your abilities, you should be able to learn far advanced spells than just make a Wind Blade curve. That’s just a basic spell I had modified, because I wasn’t able to learn better spells.”

“Still, I think your Wind Blade Vortex spell was awesome.” Narias frowned, feeling a little upset about it.

“Huh? Why, thank you, son.” His compliment made Lorenard feel embarrassed.

“That’s right, is everyone else awake yet?” Narias asked. His father knew who the ‘everyone else’ was.

“Yes. Seriously, you kids have no respect for oversleeping.” Lorenard slumped his shoulders, letting out a deep sigh. “Your girlfriends have woken up early as well and are also training at the empty field on the other side of the estate… All four of them.”

“Eh?” Narias caught a blush, hearing the last part. “But then, why didn’t they come here? The training grounds are big enough to fit all of us.”

“For the obvious reasons.” Narias’s father grimaced, ramming his fists at his waist from both sides. However, Narias couldn’t quite understand what his dad was trying to imply. “Sigh… Layla is training them. They also said they didn’t want to interfere with your training. You always come up with some new, crazy ideas when nobody’s distracting you. I should know. I remember you didn’t want me to see your training when you were working on your Wind Shield spell. That one surprised me good when you used it against me the very first time. My head hurt for days after I smashed at it, not exactly knowing what had happened at the time.”

“Hah… That was the very first time I landed a hit on. Well… you ran into it, but that still counts.” Narias remembered, procuring a mild laugh.

“Hah… hahaha. Yes, it did.” His father joining in with the laugh of his own. “Anyway, I’ll leave you to it. I won’t say don’t overdo it, because I know you will. However, and I shouldn’t be telling you this, you need to find your own way to learn new spells. Weren’t you the one who told me that once?”

“Oh, yeah…” Narias paused to think.

“I left some drinks at the resting area for you and I’ll come to check on you later. Make sure to leave the training grounds standing after you’re done.” Lorenard waved his hand, walking away.

“Daaad…” Narias sighed, but his father couldn’t hear him. “Right, my own way to learn new things. Dad’s right, so then… What kind of spell I would like to learn next? Ghm…”

The Wind Vortex spell is great, but other than dad’s Wind Blade Vortex, it’s not exactly that strong. Someone who is physically strong could get out of it easily or neutralize it with some other spell. Besides, it’s a little difficult for me to imagine vortex, because I instantly imagine vortex happening in the water. Narias was holding his chin up, thinking about it. A whirlwind? But I’ve seen only small whirlwinds back in the days. So, a… tornado? Aah… that… would be difficult to accomplish for me right now. Ghm… start small, grow big, eh? I guess, I should start with the whirlwind first then.

{after a few hours of training}

“Bhaa…” Narias had a drink. He was having a break after his intense training.

Wow, I didn’t expect I would be able to learn the Whirlwind spell in such a short amount of time. I suppose having a clear image of how it looks helps a ton. He was happy with his progress. Still, the whirlwind I can produce isn’t exactly strong. If I could add something to it that could actually do proper damage then dealing with those Rhabitooths on the second floor of the Magic Dungeon would be easy. Of course, it’s a Wind Magic spell and the monsters inside the dungeon are weak to fire. Huh? Hey, that’s it!

Narias jumped to his feet, feeling pumped all of a sudden.

Dang i!. Why did I not think about it earlier? Narias ran to the middle of the arena, grinning wide. And I know just the spell that I want to learn. It’ll be so awesome!

{after a few more hours}

“Huff… Ah… Ugh… I… I can’t move.” Narias was lying on the ground, panting from exhaustion. “Damn it… It’s… it’s harder than I thought… Channelling mana… is hard work, huff… Hah, but it worked, even if for a few second.”

It was a while since the last time Narias overtrained so much, but he felt really good about it. Even though he couldn’t move his body, Narias felt extremely excited. Now that he has grasped the feeling of how to channel mana better, he knew that all he had to do was practice until he learned how to do it properly. Unfortunately for Narias, his training for the day was over.

“Oh, you’re still awake?” His father commented, adding a grin on his face.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Narias grimaced, still lying on the ground.

“Nothing. I simply thought you’d be passed out cold by now,” Lorenard threw his hands to the sides, adding a disappointed facial expression.

“Humph…” Narias frowned.

“Ahaha!” His father dropped the act. “Come on, let me help you get back on your feet.”

With Narias holding on to his dad’s shoulders, they went back home.

“Here we go. Well then, take your time,” Lorenard grinned before leaving Narias by himself.

“Jeez… thanks, dad.” Narias mumbled after his father left the bathroom. “Now then… ouch… tch… let’s… take a bath.”

Narias could move his body now, but it was sore all over. He knew he overdid it with his training, but Narias couldn’t help it. Going over the top with his training was a second nature to him by now. As much as his parents were worried about him, they knew that’s how Narias had always been. The best they could do was support him and help him recover afterwards. Narias took off his clothes and went to wash himself. He was inside the main bath room sitting on the chair, ready to scrub his body when he heard the doors to the changing room open and close again.

“Huh? Have you decided to take a bath yourself, dad?” Narias asked in a loud voice, but heard no answer. He waited for a minute or so, but it was quiet. “I must be hearing things. Sigh…”

He was about to proceed with his wash when the doors to the bathroom opened and a person entered.

“Ah? Huuuh? I… Ileena?” He wanted to hide somewhere, but could barely move due to his body being sore all over. Narias couldn’t even reach for the towel to cover himself. “Aah… Wha… what are you doing here, Ileena?”

What did I just ask? He almost slapped himself.

“Your dad said you might need some help, because you overtrained, so… I’m here to help you wash…” Ileena, who had only a single towel wrapped around her, brushed her hair to the side, her face flushing bright red. She wasn’t wearing her glasses, but that just made her look charming in a different way. It wasn’t the first time Narias saw her without glasses, but it made an impact every single time.

“My dad… said that?” Only then Narias remembered his father’s comment and the cheesy grin he had on his face. “Ah, but…”

“Come on, let’s get you washed.” Ileena, acting like it was pre-planned in advance, took of her towel, revealing her naked body.

Narias could only gasp, his eyes shooting all over her nude body. Despite feeling flustered, Ileena was keeping herself rather well, but her hand still moved on its own, touching her face and trying to fix her glasses. A move Ileena would often perform when she felt out of place. Unfortunately, her glasses weren’t there, so she simply touched her cheek. Narias was staring at her, not able to look any other way. It made Ileena feel happy her boyfriend’s eyes were glued on her and a tiny smile dressed her lips. She then stepped closer and took the sponge from Narias’s hands, making a pause as she leaned down, so Narias could enjoy the close-up view of her breasts a little longer. At the same time, Ileena’s eyes fell down when she leaned to take the sponge from his hands, stopping right at Narias’s erect pennis. Her face became so red, she could feel her cheeks burning. After picking up the sponge, Ileena then made a few steps to the side and sat down on her knees behind her boyfriend.

“Relax Narias, we’ve… done it before, remember?” Ileena started to work the sponge she ‘stole’ from him, scrubbing his back.

“Oh… yeah…” it took a moment for Narias to ease up.

That’s right. We had a bath together once before. Still, I can’t believe how calm Ileena is. Well, it’s just a bath, I mean… Narias took a few deep breaths in, tension leaving his body. He straightened up in his seat to make it easier for Ileena to wash him.

Narias couldn’t see, but there was a reason why Ileena rushed to start washing his back as soon as possible. As calm as she appeared to be, it took all she had to restrain herself from wanting to kiss him or more. After all, Narias was all naked as well and she had the pleasure of seeing him get excited upon seeing her naked body. A treat to her eyes to say the least. Well, seeing Ileena naked was a treat to Narias’s eyes as well. A fair trade on both sides. However, Ileena was here to help Narias wash and she intended to fulfil her duty the best that she could, making sure to clean every inch of his body too.

{after the bath}

“Yo’, partner.” Flavia greeted him when he and Ileena entered the dinner room.

“Hi, Flavia.” Narias raised his hand to greet her back. “Hi Emilia, Layla, mom, dad.”

We took so long washing ourselves, I bet they will ask questions. Narias started to feel really embarrassed.

“Now that everyone is here, let’s have dinner.” Alvina clapped her hands, but didn’t say anything else.

Huh? Nobody’s… saying anything. With everyone else sitting at the table, Narias went to sit down as well.

“How was your training, dear?” Narias’s mom asked him, smiling kindly.

“It was… good. I was trying to learn a new spell, but… couldn’t handle it.” Narias answered, rubbing the back of his head.

“Your father told me that you overdid it again. You should know when to stop, sweetie.” His mom commented, touching her cheek with one hand.

“Yes, I’ll… try to remember…” Narias said, but he was yet to keep his word.

“How was your training, girls? I hope Layla didn’t push you too hard,” Alvina then turned her attention to Narias’s girlfriends.

“Layla is so strong. Even when I was able to get close to her, she managed to block or avoid my attacks easily even when she wasn’t using magic.” Flavia’s answer sounded like a complain.

“Yes, Layla is really good at controlling her magic. I still have much to learn,” Emilia added.

“All three of you were doing great. If you keep training the way you do, I’m sure you’ll become much stronger than me in no time.” Layla said with a smile.

“Excuse me, ma’am, Jonathan said the dinner is ready to be served now,” a maid informed after entering the room.

“Wonderful. Let’s eat, shall we?” Alvina said, nodding to the maid to have it served.

The dinner was served and the rest of the evening was very much enjoyable for everyone.

I’m so tired… Narias fell face forward on his bed.

He just came back to his room after the dinner. Narias ate more than he usually would simply because he was training all day. The talks around the table quickly switched to the topic about the Magic Dungeon. Narias and his girlfriends were eagerly sharing their experience about the dungeon exploration that they did. All of them wanted to go back and beat the boss monster on the second floor as soon as they were back at the academy.

At the same time, all four of them recognized that they need to become stronger to be able to do that. Alvina laughed out loud when they decided to train every day while staying at Narias’s parents house. Part of the reason was, Alvina knew the girls couldn’t miss the opportunity to spend more girly time with Layla and they used training as an excuse for that. Ileena, Flavia and Emilia were taking the training serious, of course, but there could’ve been another reason why they wanted to spend more time with Layla.

I’m glad Ileena, Flavia and Emilia are getting along with Layla. I was afraid there’d be some friction or even some anger, but it seems I was worried for nothing. Narias was now lying face up on his bed, staring at the curtains above. Right, let’s get some good sleep and start the day early. I can’t wait to get better at controlling my new spell.

Narias smiled happily, his body becoming excited again. He went to change into his pajamas, but before he could fall on his bed again, Narias heard a knock on the door.

Huh? Who could that be? He thought. It wasn’t that late, so it could’ve been anyone. However, before going back to his room all of his girlfriends said they will go to bed early as well, giving him a goodnight kiss each.

“Huh? Ileena?” So, Narias became surprised when he saw Ileena standing in the doorway, wearing a light brown night robe over her silky brown pajama dress.

“Hi, Narias…” Ileena was blushing charmingly.

“Oh, sorry. Please, come in.” Narias remembered his manners, closing the door after letting Ileena come in. “Is something the matter?”

“No, not exactly.” She answered, touching her cheek with one hand. “We will be training again tomorrow, so… I thought I’ll go to bed early.”

“Ah, yes. I was thinking the same thing too.” Narias told her, feeling a little confused about her words.

“That’s… good. So then… which side of the bed do you prefer?” Ileena asked, sliding out of her night robe.

“Huh? What?” Narias almost choked when he saw Ileena slowly approach and then climb on his bed, sliding her naked legs under the blanket right after.

“Aren’t you gonna go to bed, Narias?” Ileena asked, pulling the blanket up, more so to hide her flushed face than simply to cover herself.

“Ah, well… yeah…” Narias was stunned, but he was pleasantly stunned this time. It’s not like he was against sleeping together with Ileena in the same bed. It was more like he didn’t expect for that to happen. Ileena surprised Narias by helping him with his bath, but apparently, the surprises weren’t over just yet.

Well, she’s my girlfriend, so… Narias thought to himself, before getting into his bed.

“Goodnight.” Ileena said, gazing into his eyes, her own eyes sparkling like stars in the sky.

“Goodnight.” Narias said, smiling happily and then their lips touched each other.
