Narias opened his eyes only to see Ileena sound asleep lying next to him. She looked so sweet with her brown hair fallen over her forehead and some of her orange hair strands covering one of her eyes. He didn’t want to wake her up and wanted to enjoy gazing into her calm, beautiful face a while longer, so he stayed exactly where he was.
It was rather bright outside which meant it wasn’t as early as it was when Narias woke up yesterday. Narias was eager to do some training the previous day, and since he was all by himself he literally jumped out of his bed and rushed to the training grounds. But now, he couldn’t afford to risk waking up the sleeping beauty lying next to him, so he tried to be as careful as he could when he finally slid out of it.
“Huh? Narias? Oh, sorry…” Ileena exclaimed just a moment later waking up and finding she was all alone in the bed.
But when she sat up, Ileena saw Narias was still in the room, her gaze making both of them feel a little embarrassed as a result too. Narias was changing into his normal clothes, meaning, he was out of his pajamas and was about to dress up, but his girlfriend caught him at the exact moment when he had nothing other than his underwear on. Ileena’s face was painted in a charming red, seeing her boyfriend almost naked. Finally, Narias had a taste of the unintentional surprise peeking, being on the receiving end this time.
“Good morning.” Narias tried to act normally. “Did you sleep well?”
“Oh, good… morning.” The blush on Ileena’s face intensified as she glanced at her boyfriend while he was putting his pants on. “Y… yes, I have.”
Ileena brushed her hair to the side, not that it was getting in the way of her staring at Narias. He obviously noticed it and, not bothering to put anything on as his top yet, came to sit on the bed to give her a good morning kiss.
“Hi,” Narias smiled at her after the kiss.
“Hi,” Ileena’s eyes sparkled with charming intensity. They both hugged each other and then kissed again, taking their time as they did so. “Will you be going to train now, Narias?”
“Ah, yes. Sorry, I just…” Narias felt a little bad he will have to leave her.
“No, it’s ok. We are all happy you’re working so hard. We understand you’re not doing it only for yourself. Besides, I enjoy spending time with your mother. She is such a kind woman.” Ileena told him, putting Narias at ease.
“Yeah, my mother is… the best mom I could’ve asked for.” Narias didn’t lie when he said that. He truly thought he was blessed with such wonderful parents.
“Do you mind if… if I stay here a little longer?” Ileena asked, the redness not wanting to leave her face.
“Ah, yes, of course. You can… sleep a little longer if you feel like it.” Narias answered with a smile.
“Thanks,” Ileena smiled, stars glowing in her eyes.
They kissed on more time and then Narias went to fully dress himself before leaving his room. Ileena pulled the blanket to cover herself more, not exactly feeling sleepy, yet not willing to leave the bed just yet.
{a short while later}
“Wow, woah… Aren’t you going overboard again, son?” Lorenard came to check on Narias.
“Of course not. Not… yet, at least,” Narias had only started to train.
“Not yet?” His father laughed loudly. “Anyway, I came to inform you that your mother and your girlfriends are going out to Marnas and I have some work to attend to myself, so you’ll be on your own for a while. I’ll have Alistar come check on you just in case. As always, I left some drinks and a snack at the usual place for you as well.”
“Thank you, dad.” Narias was grateful.
“Well, work hard, but… sigh… Just make sure you take proper breaks now and then, ok? You can’t train if you’re lying on the ground exhausted, you know.” Narias father tried to come up with a good reason for Narias to not overdo it.
“Yes, I will.” Narias knew his father was right.
“Ok, I’ll be off now,” Lorenard waved before walking off.
“Right, let’s have a go at it again.” Narias turned his attention to his training again.

“Huff… I think… I’m getting the hang of it… Phew… One more…” Narias was about to have a go at it again, but then remembered what his dad told him. “Right… maybe I should… take a break now. Sigh…”
It was a good idea, because after a short break that he took, Narias could last longer, extending his training time too which he was very happy about. After his training was over however, Narias had to drag his feet back home himself. His father was away on business and all of his girlfriends and his mom were yet to come back from Marnas. That meant he had to wash by himself as well. Remembering Ileena washing him just yesterday helped Narias do the job as fast and as hard as he could too.
Fortunately, Narias wasn’t by himself at the dinner table. Everyone except his father was present. His mother told him that Lorenard had some important work and won’t be back for a couple of days. Narias knew his father will be away since he told that himself this morning, but he didn’t know his dad will be away for a few days.
A pleasant evening followed, with the girls telling Narias what they did during the day, what shops they visited or what new desserts they tasted. All Narias could tell them was he was training all day and then doing some reading until it was time for dinner. Whether it was training for Narias or sightseeing at Marnas for the girls, everyone felt tired before it became really late. So, after wishing a goodnight to one another, all of them went to their own rooms to have some rest. Narias didn’t rush to go to bed once back in his room, however. He thought he will wait for a short while to see if someone might knock on the door. Unfortunately for him, nobody did no matter how long he waited.
I guess… Yaaawn… I’ll just go to bed… Narias was becoming really sleepy. He wasn’t about to go barge into one of his girlfriend’s rooms. Of course, none of his girlfriends had told him they will be visiting him tonight either, but for some reason, Narias was hoping one of them would.
{the next morning}

I shouldn’t neglect them. Sigh… And just when I promised my dad to be responsible. Right, I better spend some time with my girlfriends today instead.

“What are your plans for today, sweetie?” Narias’s mom asked in the middle of their breakfast.
“I bet it’s more training today again.” Flavia jumped in with her comment before Narias could answer, adding a laugh.
“Actually, I was planning to ask you out to go on a date with me.” Narias answered with a smile, his answer making Flavia almost spill her drink.
“Aah… that’s so sweet,” Alvina touched her cheek with one hand, feeling happy with her son’s conduct.
“I think that’s a great idea. You should go, Flavia.” Ileena commented before putting another bite in her mouth.
“Yes, I agree. You haven’t been on a date with Narias for a while,” Emilia added with a smile.
“Narias knows Marnas well. Maybe there’s a place you’d like to visit?” Layla joined in the conversation, speaking to Flavia.
“Well, there is one…” Flavia said quietly, a blush intensifying on her face.
“Wait, wait. I didn’t mean only Flavia. I thought all of us could go,” Narias waved with his hands.
“Sorry, Narias, but I already agreed to do some training with Layla,” Ileena refused, adding seemingly legitimate reason to it.
“Huh? Really?” Narias turned to her before turning to Layla.
“I planned to join Layla and Ileena as well. I apologize, but I cannot come with you two,” Emilia informed next.
“But…” Narias was confused.
“I think it’s a wonderful idea. You could show Flavia around Marnas,” Narias’s mom clapped her hands, smiling wide.
Right, so that’s what it is. Narias quickly caught on and he liked the idea too. I see. I think… it will make things so much easier. But I will have to spend some time together with Emilia and Layla too.
“I’d love to show you around Marnas, Flavia.” He finally said after turning to his bunny girlfriend.
“Awesome,” Flavia showed her charming grin.
And so, it was decided. Narias and Flavia went out on a date to Marnas while the rest of his girlfriends stayed to train or… do whatever else they had planned to do. During the trip to Marnas, Flavia’s smile couldn’t have been wider. She was too happy to describe and Narias could see it. As excited and as energetic as Flavia was, she wouldn’t let go of Narias arm while they rode inside the carriage.
Flavia is so happy. I’m really glad I decided to change my plans and go on a date with Flavia instead. Ok, let’s make sure Flavia enjoys herself today. Narias was thinking to himself as both of them walked down the street, with Flavia almost floating from how happy she felt.
They didn’t have any plans where to go or what to do but it didn’t matter. Flavia was chatty for both of them and Narias enjoyed listening to her telling all kinds of things, even the most trivial ones.
“Say, partner, your mom told me you have ships come to Marnas and stuff. So, I was wondering… maybe we could go see a ship… since I had never seen one before?” Flavia suddenly asked, feeling a little embarrassed about her question.
“Yes, definitely,” was Narias’s instant reply. “We can go see ships that come to Marnas.”
“Awesome,” Flavia clung to Narias tight. “So, which way do we need to go?”
“I think…” Narias stopped to look around. “Ah, right, this way.”
They made their way down the street, not rushing, but not stopping to linger around too much either.
“Wooow! Such a huge ship,” Flavia exclaimed as soon as the view to the docks opened. They were some distance away, but they could see how busy the port was, with the workers running forth and back, loading or unload the goods. “Do you think we can get on the ship to see how it looks from the inside?”
“I don’t think so. It’s not like the ships that come here are for sightseeing. These are merchant ships, bringing in all kinds of merchandise to Marnas.” Narias explained.
“That’s a bummer. I’d love to get on the ship sometime or even sail somewhere,” Flavia told him.
“Really? Maybe we could go somewhere sometime, just for fun.” Narias suggested, seeing how excited Flavia was.
“That’s a promise, partner,” Flavia exclaimed, grabbing her boyfriend’s arm once again. “Hey, hey, what’s that over there?”
“Oh, that must be a diner where workers go to eat,” Narias answered after looking at where Flavia was pointing.
“Can we go eat there? They have seatings outside. We’ll be able to see ships come and go. Please, partner,” Flavia was tiptoeing on her toes like a little child.
“Of course,” Flavia’s plea made Narias laugh, but he had no objections. He was happy to see his girlfriend being so excited.
It was a simple diner with lots of seating to fit more people. When workers from the docks went to eat, they’d flood the few dining places available at the docks, such as this one. The tables were set really close to each other and it’d be really loud during the rush hour. Fortunately, it was past midday and there weren’t that many people eating right now. In addition, the outlet had several tables set outside with an open view towards the sea, which made it rather romantic if you ignored all the busyness that was going on at the docks.
“Wow, the sea looks so pretty,” Flavia was gazing into the horizon.
“Is it the first time you see the sea, Flavia?” Narias wondered.
“Yeah…” she answered with a bit of a laugh. “I always wondered how it looked. I knew it was big, but you can’t even see the end of it. It’s like it goes all the way to where the sky starts.”
“The sky?” That was an interesting comparison for Narias to hear. He knew Flavia understood that the sky and the sea didn’t touch each other, but now when she mentioned it, it somehow looked that they did. Especially now when the sky was free of any clouds and the sea was calm.
“Say, Narias…” Flavia addressed him by his name all of a sudden.
“Yes, Flavia?” He turned to face her.
“Thank you for bringing me here today,” she said, smiling wide.
“Oh, it’s my pleasure. I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself,” Narias was happy to see Flavia was having such a good time.
They didn’t rush to eat or to leave the place. They still had some time to themselves before needing to go back home. They had a walk through the city as soon as they arrived at Marnas, just walking around and enjoying their time together. Flavia was the one who was talking the most, but Narias appreciated his girlfriend being so lively. Once they have arrived at the docks, they spent the rest of the time watching ships come and go until it was time to go home.
“Did you enjoy your time at Marnas today, Flavia?” Narias asked when they were riding back home.
“Totally,” she exclaimed excitedly. “I had never seen a sea before and the ships were so huge. This was the best day ever.”
“I’m happy to hear that,” Narias smiled. It was a fun day for both of them, but with Flavia being so energetic, sometimes sprinting to take a closer look at whatever had caught her attention, Narias built a little sweat. “We’ll have some time before dinner. I think I’d like to take a bath before that.”
“A bath?” Flavia’s bunny ears suddenly jumped up. “Say, Narias, would you… would you mind if I took a bath as well?”
“Not at all. We had a very exciting day. I’m sure it made you a little sweaty as well.” Narias answered with a bit of a laugh, not suspecting anything between the lines of Flavia’s question.
“Sweet,” Flavia had her excitedly cheerful grin on her face again.
Once home, Narias and Flavia were greeted by his mom. She was happy to hear both of them had such a wonderful day, but then chuckled when Flavia announced they’ll be taking a bath before dinner, leaving Narias a little puzzled about her laugh. Narias’s mom informed that Ileena, Emilia and Layla were still busy with something but agreed to be at the dinner table on time. Narias wanted to go wash himself as soon as possible, so he wouldn’t be late to the dinner table himself. Alvina let both of them go, saying she’d love to hear more about their date during the dinner time.
Ok. Let’s wash quick and go eat. Narias was looking forward to having some home cooked food, actually.
“Yo’, partner.” But his would be quick wash was interrupted by Flavia entering the bathroom, startling Narias in the process.
“Huh? F… Flavia? Wha… what are you doing here?” He asked the question as if it wasn’t obvious.
“I came to wash, of course. Didn’t you say I could join you when I asked?” Flavia gave him the weirdest look.
So, THAT’s what she meant? Narias remembered the short conversation they had inside the carriage.
“Well then, let’s get ourselves washed.” But before Narias could say anything else, Flavia took of her towel and went to pick up a sponge.
I guess… I could get used to that. Narias simply accepted the inevitable.

“Totally,” she exclaimed excitedly. “I had never seen a sea before and the ships were so huge. This was the best day ever.”
“I’m happy to hear that,” Narias smiled. It was a fun day for both of them, but with Flavia being so energetic, sometimes sprinting to take a closer look at whatever had caught her attention, Narias built a little sweat. “We’ll have some time before dinner. I think I’d like to take a bath before that.”
“A bath?” Flavia’s bunny ears suddenly jumped up. “Say, Narias, would you… would you mind if I took a bath as well?”
“Not at all. We had a very exciting day. I’m sure it made you a little sweaty as well.” Narias answered with a bit of a laugh, not suspecting anything between the lines of Flavia’s question.
“Sweet,” Flavia had her excitedly cheerful grin on her face again.
Once home, Narias and Flavia were greeted by his mom. She was happy to hear both of them had such a wonderful day, but then chuckled when Flavia announced they’ll be taking a bath before dinner, leaving Narias a little puzzled about her laugh. Narias’s mom informed that Ileena, Emilia and Layla were still busy with something but agreed to be at the dinner table on time. Narias wanted to go wash himself as soon as possible, so he wouldn’t be late to the dinner table himself. Alvina let both of them go, saying she’d love to hear more about their date during the dinner time.
Ok. Let’s wash quick and go eat. Narias was looking forward to having some home cooked food, actually.
“Yo’, partner.” But his would be quick wash was interrupted by Flavia entering the bathroom, startling Narias in the process.
“Huh? F… Flavia? Wha… what are you doing here?” He asked the question as if it wasn’t obvious.
“I came to wash, of course. Didn’t you say I could join you when I asked?” Flavia gave him the weirdest look.
So, THAT’s what she meant? Narias remembered the short conversation they had inside the carriage.
“Well then, let’s get ourselves washed.” But before Narias could say anything else, Flavia took of her towel and went to pick up a sponge.
I guess… I could get used to that. Narias simply accepted the inevitable.
