Everyone placed their orders and they were delivered without unnecessary interruptions. While Narias and his dates were taking their time to choose what they wanted Louneus was quietly enjoying his lemon tea. Nalitta was keeping to herself as well. Narias ordered a drink only, but the girls weren’t shy about ordering a dessert each. Main reason probably was some desserts at the Golden Lounge weren’t available for everyone else.

“Are you not hungry? You are free to order any food you like. You are my guests.” Louneus commented after the orders were delivered and Narias was the only one without a snack.

“That’s ok. I’m not that hungry,” he replied with a polite smile.

“Is that so?” the table host gave him a suspicious smile. “Well then, I would like to ask you something, Narias Talrone.”

“What is it, sir?” Narias kept the polite attitude.

“Tell me, what is your secret?” Louneus Vilmanos leaned with his elbows on the table, resting his chin on his hands.

Secret? What is he trying to say? Narias wasn’t really sure how to answer his question.

“I’m sorry, but I’m not sure if I understand your question, Mr. Vilmanos,” he figured he better keep it respectful since Louneus seemed to be a very important person.

“Oh, I’m sure you do. Your achievements are no small feat. I was really amazed by your skills during the Solo Arena Battle, among many other things.” Louneus said.

- ‘Cling,’ – a fork hit a side of the plate after dropping on the table.

“S… sorry. This… this dessert is so good. I accidently dropped the fork.” Emilia explained herself somewhat timidly.

“For sure. I never tasted something so delicious.” Flavia joined in by telling everyone about it after gulping yet another spoonful of her own dessert. It also helped Emilia to relax a little. “I bet Growly would love this. He probably wouldn’t want to leave. Haha.”

“Yeah, he probably would,” Emilia added with a smile, feeling more at ease.

Hmph… That wasn’t an accident. Narias picked up the detail that Emilia dropped her fork right after what Louneus said. Emilia seems to be rather tense being here. Is she afraid of him?

“Thank you for such kind words. I didn’t do that well, really. I could barely reach the semi-finals,” Narias said with a polite smile.

“No need to be so modest. Semi-finals puts you at the top of everyone else, does it not?” the Elite Magicians club president added.

“I guess…” Narias couldn’t think of anything else to say but to agree.

“I am certain a person of your abilities must have big aspirations. Tell me, what is your goal?” Louneus asked another question.

What is my goal? What kind of answer does he expect to hear? It is such an open-ended question. Besides, why would I tell him in the first place? Narias debated in his head.

“I suppose I would like to work hard to make my parents proud,” he gave the most basic answer he could think of.

“I see…” the host leaned back in his seat, not exactly smiling this time. He had another drink from his cup before turning to Emilia next. “I have a question for Emilia if you don’t mind?”

“Huh?” – ‘Cling,’ – she dropped her fork again. “Y… yes, Mr. Vilmanos?”

“You will start Magic Dungeon exploration soon. Tell me, what do you think of your current team?” Louneus smiled yet his words sent shivers down Emilia’s spine.

“Well… everyone on the team is very kind and… friendly, and… I think we will do well. Our goal is to kill the boss monster on the first floor,” Emilia told him while trying to keep her composure.

“To kill the boss monster on the first floor? That is a great goal. Wouldn’t you say, Nalitta?” Louneus Vilmanos asked her without even turning his head.

“Yes, sir,” she answered without any emotion in her voice.

“Well then, I wish you best of luck on that. I am sure you won’t disappoint, Emilia,” the host said without waiting for her to respond. “Now, I am sorry to say this, but it is time for me to go. I feel really bad about leaving so abruptly, but I have an important matter to attend to. You are free to stay here for as long as you wish. Please, enjoy yourselves. And don’t worry about your orders. Everything is paid for.”

“Uhm…” Narias stood up respectfully as soon as Louneus Vilmanos stood up to leave. “Thank you, sir. I wish you a pleasant day ahead.”

“Oh… It was a pleasure meeting you, Narias Talrone. I wish you well,” with those words, Louneus left.

“Excuse me,” Nalitta bowed her head just lightly before following him.

“Phew… Finally I can get some air. What was up with that guy?” Flavia threw herself at the back of her seat.

“I’m sorry. You had to come here because of me.” Emilia apologized.

“Hey, don’t worry about it. Other than that guy acting like a creep this place is totally amazing. And the dessert is sooo good. I think I’ll order another one,” the bunny girl was almost done with hers.

“I suggest you wouldn’t,” Ileena commented in her usual tone.

“Why not? He said we can order as much as we want,” Flavia frowned.

“And that’s exactly why. Do you think he offered that because of how nice he is?” the girl in glasses had another bite of her own dessert.

“Hey, but you’re almost done with your dessert too. I bet you’d want another one,” the girl with the bunny ears pointed her finger at Ileena’s plate.

“One… is enough for me.” Ileena turned her eyes away, catching a mild blush.

“Louneus Vilmanos never does anything out of generosity. He always has his own agenda going. I doubt this meeting was a coincidence or an act of kindness. That’s just the kind of person he is.” Emilia became tense again, then clenched her fists which she had placed on her legs to calm herself.

“Really? I knew he was a creep.” Flavia frowned, which made her look rather cute.

“Whatever you think of him, Louneus Vilmanos is not the person you would want to be at odds with. He comes from the Noble Rank Tier Two status family. He is very smart, highly educated and knows how to make people to submit to him. And that’s not the scariest part about him. Louneus is a genius when it comes to magic abilities. He can use Destro and Ice Magic. His skills and good looks helped him grow a huge following in his first few months after he enrolled into Reina’s Magic Academy. It was Louneus who created the Elite Magicians student club, recruiting only the most capable students and growing to become the top student club in the shortest time possible.” Ileena unloaded a lot of information about the Elite Magicians student club president.

“Woah.” Flavia gasped, with her face showing she was either impressed to hear about him or with how much Ileena knew about him. Probably the latter.

“He can use Destro and Ice magic?” Narias couldn’t miss that part.

“Yes, and not only on a basic level. Apparently, Louneus was groomed from an early age, even before his magic manifested.” Emilia added.

“Wow, how do you know all this?” Flavia gasped again.

“Well, I learnt about it at the Elite Magicians student club. Our club’s president is the main topic everyone is talking about. He is someone everyone strives to become. Although, I doubt there’s anyone in our club who’s remotely close to his abilities.” Emilia told everyone.

“Hold on. If he’s so strong, how come he didn’t participate in the last student club competition?” the bunny girl was curious.

“I think it was because he didn’t think it was worth his time. Louneus Vilmanos wouldn’t bother to participate in such a low-level competition. From what I found out, Student Club Competition is only a try out for new club members to see if they are good enough to join the Elite Magicians club.” The girl with the snow-white hair explained.

“So, does that mean you weren’t an official club member before the student competition?” Ileena wanted to know.

“That is correct. Although, my magic abilities are better than average, the club’s president wouldn’t make an exception. The Student Club Competition was the official test to prove myself,” she explained.

“Better than average? Your magic is amazing. You are better than most people I know,” Flavia pointed out.

“I agree with Flavia. Your Ice Magic is incredible, Emilia,” Narias couldn’t stay silent about that.

“Thank you,” that made Emilia smile.

“Still, I wonder. What made you want to join the student club with someone as creepy as that Louneus guy? You could’ve joined Narias club. Ghee…” the bunny girl grinned.

“Well…” Ice Princess tried to hide her charming flush.

“We didn’t have much of a club before Narias joined in.” Ileena pointed out. “Actually, if not for Narias, we wouldn’t have club at all right now.”

“Really? But we have so many people show up at our club every day,” Flavia was puzzled.

“Yes, but Lilna and Emilia are not part of our student club. They only joined your team for the dungeon exploration,” the girl with orange hair strands reminded her.

“Oh, yeah…” the bunny girl touched her lips with one finger, full in thought. “Hey, I know. Why don’t you ditch the Elite Magicians club and join ours, Emilia?”

“Huh? What?” Flavia’s suggestion took Emilia by surprise. “But I…”

“You shouldn’t be so pushy, Flavia. Everyone has their own reasons. We can’t force Emilia to do something she doesn’t want to,” Ileena had another drink from her cup.

“It was only a suggestion.” Flavia smiled wide.

While girls were chit chatting among themselves, Narias was trying to process the information about Louneus Vilmanos and the meeting they had just a moment ago. He had a lot to think about.

Right. So, he is someone to watch out for, after all. Narias thought to himself.

The meeting didn’t go exactly how the one in the TV drama he and his sister watched went, but it gave a clue that Louneus Vilmanos wasn’t as nice as he tried to portray himself. For starters, Narias picked up right away that Louneus wasn’t very friendly to Ileena and Flavia. Actually, he hasn’t spoken to them at all. If anything, he felt like his girlfriends were empty spots for the Elite Magicians club’s president. Narias instantly frowned to himself when he remembered it.

The second thing that struck Narias was the questions Louneus was asking him. They were very vague, open-ended questions. It was like Louneus was trying to learn some specific information without directly asking for it. Good thing was Narias wasn’t as dense as that protagonist in the TV drama who divulged all kinds of information without thinking.

Still, Narias couldn’t think of any reason why would the top student club’s president want to meet him. It’s not like Narias had done anything to attract his attention. His family’s rank status wasn’t high enough for the Elite Magicians to be interested in him. Unless it had to be something else. In any case, Narias had too little information and he wasn’t the type of the person to worry about it.

{while Louneus and Nalitta were leaving}

“Sir?” Nalitta noticed Louneus’s eyes piercing something in the distance, which meant he was slightly irritated about something. Even when he had a smile on his face, Nalitta was able to tell when Louneus had something on his mind.

“Interesting, wouldn’t you say?” he simply asked.

“What is, sir?” she couldn’t have known what his comment meant.

“I’m always amazed why some people are drawn to incompetent nobodies. And to think that Rudolf lost against someone who has such low aspirations,” Louneus sighed without losing his composure as he walked.

“It could’ve been that Rudolf was caught off guard. Narias Talrone can wield two magic elements, Wind and Fire.” Nalitta informed.

“Oh?” the Elite Magicians club’s president stopped. “That I did not know. Why haven’t you informed me about it earlier… Nalitta?”

“Didn’t you tell me not to waste your time with the students who come from lower than the Noble Tier Three Rank Status families, sir?” she answered calmly.

“That I did. As prudent as ever, aren’t you?” he procured a mild smile. “Now, Narias Talrone aside, Emilia’s Frizz conduct is not very welcoming. Magic Dungeon exploration will be abolished soon, so I don’t mind the school to play the adventurer’s game one last time. However, Emilia going into the Magic Dungeon with a team other than Elite Magicians might give other students a somewhat… distasteful impression. After all, she is regarded as the Ice Princess and, as you know, the future Ice Queen as well. It would be… a little inconvenient if any other team, especially Emilia’s current dungeon exploration team, was to perform better than our club’s team. Wouldn’t you agree, Nalitta?”

“Yes, that would be a real inconvenience, sir. I will make sure to pass the message to our club members,” Nalitta bowed her head respectfully.

“Wonderful. I know I can count on you, Nalitta.” He smiled his usual charming, yet chill invoking smile. “Now, on to the next matter.”

{back at the Golden Lounge}

“Boo… I wanted to order another one,” Flavia leaned forward on the table, sulking about the other girls not allowing her order one more dessert.

“You know we can’t do that. Louneus Vilmanos will know how much we have ordered. He’ll be sure to reprimand us sooner rather than later.” Ileena wasn’t giving in.

“But I’m hungry and we’ll probably never come here again.” The charming bunny girl looked like she was about to cry.

“At least we got to come here to eat.” Emilia tried to cheer Flavia up.

“Hey, how about we order more, but pay for it ourselves?” Narias suddenly suggested.

“Huh? We can stay here?” Flavia got her hopes up.

“Well, he said we can stay here for as long as we want.” Narias pointed out.

“Yey! I’m ordering more. Hello!” The excited bunny girl waved her hand to attract waitress’s attention.

“Mind your manners, Flavia.” Ileena scolded her.

“Sorry,” Flavia stuck her tongue out.

“I think I will order something to eat too.” Narias picked up the menu.

“What? I thought you said you weren’t hungry, partner?” The bunny girl asked in surprise.

“Ah… Well… I thought it would be rude to talk with my mouth full,” there was a different reason why Narias didn’t order any future earlier, but his explanation was good enough as well.

“Yeah, that would’ve been bad. Haha,” that made Flavia laugh.

“Ok, let me see…” Ileena picked up a menu as well. Flavia threw her a stare in an instant which Ileena calmly ignored.

“Teehee~” Emilia chuckled in response, amused by it.

The atmosphere was completely different compared to the one when Louneus Vilmanos was present. The girls were feeling relaxed and were having a good time. Narias ordered some food and an additional drink too. All four of them had a wonderful time eating, drinking and laughing.

The time flew past fast and before they knew it, it was time to go back to academy’s campus. Narias was happy to see the girls enjoy their time so much. Emilia was fitting in quite nicely. Both Ileena and Flavia were friendly and chatty, even on the way back. Once they were back at the campus, it was time to say goodbye.

“Wow, I had so much fun today. Thank you, partner,” Flavia quickly jumped to give him a kiss on a cheek.

Eh? Well, it’s Flavia alright. He shouldn’t have been surprised.

“Ah… I… I’m glad you enjoyed your day, Flavia,” Narias was glad to see how happy his girlfriend was.

“Thank you… Narias,” Ileena went a step further and kissed Narias on the lips.

Wow. I… I could get used to it. He was trying to keep cool.

“My pleasure…” yet Narias couldn’t hide how flustered he was.

“Hey, that’s cheating.” Flavia pouted her lips, then stepped forward and kissed Narias on the lips as well.

Ok. I could get used to this too. He kept smiling.

“Uhm…” there was one more girl waiting to say goodbye to Narias.

Oh no. Emilia is also here. Damn, this feels totally awkward. He was trying to do everything he can to act normal.

“Oh, aah… Emilia…” Narias was blushing like no tomorrow. “So, thank you for coming with us today. It was… fun.”

He didn’t know what to say, especially with his two girlfriends were standing right there. However, both Ileena and Flavia were looking the other way, pretending they were talking about something.

Huh? What are they doing? He found their behavior puzzling.

- ‘Kiss,’ – then he felt a soft touch on his cheek.

“Huh?” Narias turned to see Emilia’s cherry red face in front of him.

“Uhm… Thank you… for our date…” Emilia looked so embarrassed, and so adorable, Narias’ heart sank to his knees.

“Wha…” Narias legs could barely hold him without falling down.

“Teehee~” he suddenly heard a mild chuckle coming from where Ileena and Flavia were.

Huuuh? They knew about it? Narias just got shot down. But… it felt kinda nice…

As awkward, embarrassed and flustered as he was, receiving kisses from three beautiful girls was the best end of his date.
