Lena came out of the preparation room with a serious look on her face, minutes before she had again congratulated Kyoka for his victory while also comforting Toru with some small jokes.
Uraraka, Lida, Tsu and Karishima went to check on Midoriya after his fight against Todoroki, after all his arm looked like it was going to come off at any moment due to the great effort he made during the battle.
While Midoriya was not to Lena's liking with his nervous attitude she had to admit that the green-haired man had a strong will.
Waiting in the darkness of the tunnel the almost time traveler waited for her name to be called while feeling a bit tired from the Festival, she felt it lasted much longer than just a couple of measly hours.
I could use a nap. Lena thought to herself as she yawned eagerly. I just hope Todoroki doesn't use his flames, damn Midoriya you had to go and motivate him, eh?.....
"ON ONE SIDE WE HAVE THE RULER OF ICE AND EMPEROR OF FLAMES!!!! SHOTOOOO TODOROKII!!!" Announced PresidentMic as the crowd went crazy for Shoto, he was easily the favorite of civilians and heroes alike. Mic's announcement made Lena put her thoughts aside as she rolled her neck, making it crackle in the process.
"ON THE OTHER SIDE WE HAVE THE GREAT TEMPORARY WARRIOR!!!!! OXTOOON LENAAA!!!" And with that Lena slowly walked towards the platform, the crowd cheering her on with a euphoria of shouts, praise and flattery, however the cheers were noticeably less than the one received towards Todoroki.
Lena thought nothing of it as she came face to face with Endevour's prodigy son. Staring each other in the face without flinching, there was no air of tension or enmity, just... respect... respect for the other opponent
"So this is where it's all decided eh?" Lena said with a relaxed attitude as she stretched her arms and legs a bit. "You know... I owe you an apology."
"...Why?" Todoroki finally said with confusion though he still kept his face expressionless.
"At first I thought you thought you thought you were better than everyone else, after all you just threw cold, insensitive words at others when they tried to talk to you" Lena said as she recalled the days in class where Todoroki isolated himself in his sphere of coldness. Then there was the challenge he threw out before the start of the Festival basically calling them all useless and only challenging Lena, Midoriya and Bakugo, people Todoroki considered his equals "Now I see that's not the case you just suck at talking like a normal person, get better at that"
"..." Without Lena realizing it that was a low blow for Todoroki, who although he didn't show it inside felt like an arrow pierced him. "And what does that have to do with combat...?"
"Nothing just wanted to give you the advice to stop being so... ice lord" Lena replied while laughing lightly which irritated Todoroki for some reason. "Anyway, shall we dance?"
"Gladly" Todoroki replied ignoring the conversation as he took a stance with his hands pointing diagonally downwards.
"Hehehe, this will be fun!" Said Lena as she took an offensive stance leaning her body forward a bit.
"START!"
Immediately after the announcement Todoroki unleashed a strong blast of ice all over the arena covering it with icy spikes and freezing the entire floor along with Lena who had not moved from her initial position.
"That was easy" Todoroki said quietly as he was a little disappointed, he thought Lena could find a way around it like in the old Test but it seems he was wrong.
However, looking at Lena's smiling face a bit more smiling than usual, Todoroki knew he wasn't done, quickly Todoroki used a bit of his flames to thaw himself before Lena tried anything.
And indeed, a second after Todoroki noticed the smile on Lena's face, with a strong movement in her legs she broke free from the ice like nothing else while running towards Todoroki like a truck at full speed.
Todoroki responded by creating ice spikes to try to stop her, but Lena dodged them with an Acceleration.
Then Todoroki could feel a presence behind him and instinctively ducked to dodge Lena's kick, the latter seemed surprised by Todoroki's dodge.
The latter seeing that she was wide open, threw a strong blast of ice at her at point blank range.
"Haa..." Todoroki breathed as the cold air slowly entered his lungs, that had been a close call. Looking up at the large mountain he created he doubted that Lena hadn't been disqualified... but Midnight hadn't commented so she must still be on the platform.
Behind him soft footsteps approached, but Todoroki could still hear them as he turned around. Out of the snow peaks came the female figure of Lena with a serious look on her face, her entire left arm was covered in a layer of ice making it unusable for the moment.
"Well I didn't expect you to dodge that... have you practiced martial arts?" Lena asked as she moved her left arm as best she could to see if it would still be useful to her, unfortunately that didn't seem to be the case.
"Um" Todoroki nodded as neither of them were out of sight, the slightest of distractions and it will be the end of either of them. "How did you escape my attack."
"If you're not blind you'll know I didn't escape at all" Lena said as she pointed to her frozen arm. "And secondly... I can move fast can't I?"
"But how fast?" Todoroki asked in disbelief even though her face was still the same as always, he was sure that attack had hit her full on.
"Very fast" Lena said softly in Todoroki's ear as she gave him a hard kick in the back that sent him crashing into a pillar of ice. He looked back down at his frozen arm with a pained look on his face. "Phew... fuck it's because of these shits that I don't like the cold..."
Out of the rubble came Todoroki with his clothes a little torn and a few small cuts. Immediately when he saw Lena he moved his hand in a vertical motion creating a blast of ice progressively creating another mountain of ice in his wake.
Lena opened her eyes wide and immediately used another Acceleration.
That makes 4 Accelerations. Lena thought as her body tensed up from the pain of the Accelerations, she started running around to dodge the blast as she approached Todoroki. One more and I'm out... he better be worth it.....
Before she could get any closer the Acceleration ended and they were within striking distance, fortunately, Lena had gone on his left side which made it difficult for him to use his ice. Or well, that was if he didn't use his fire.
Todoroki immediately became aware of Lena's presence, but having used two large blasts of ice in a row his right side was completely frozen.
Taking a short breath Todoroki approached Lena to settle this like old school.
With blows.
Todoroki started quickly taking a defensive stance as Lena attacked with a kick aimed at Todoroki's ribs, Todoroki managed to parry them with his right forearm although the force pushed him back a little.
Lena attacked again with another kick but Todoroki managed to dodge it while throwing a punch at Lena that hit her in the shoulder.
"SHIT!" groaned Lena as she stepped back a bit to take a breath before diving back into the battle with a series of consecutive kicks.
Todoroki managed to dodge most of them but a feint caused him to be hit in the chest, Lena didn't stop there and quickly went to hit him in the head as he was wide open.
But Todoroki did something unforeseen by Lena, he threw himself to the ground spinning around narrowly dodging Lena's second kick.
Rising up quickly he took distance from Lena, this one was not going to let him breathe as she lunged forward.
As she quickly approached Todoroki who was a couple of meters away, she saw Todoroki's mouth twist upwards slightly and knew at that moment that something was going on.
Then she saw Todoroki's arm thaw enough to throw another blast of ice at her. While Lena and Todoroki were fighting, Todoroki was sending small activations from his left side to his right side gradually thawing his arm.
Todoroki immediately launched a blast of ice towards Lena.
And at that moment Lena knew she had lost.
Or maybe not...
As a last resort. Lena activated her last card.
The 5th Acceleration.
The world around her became a monotonous grey again, everything felt listless and lifeless, the world had stopped, but this time it was different from the previous ones, you could see small lightning bolts all over the place....
No... they are not rays... they are... cracks? Lena thought with confusion looking closely at these cracks, she doesn't think she had ever seen one, but for some reason they looked familiar. That's new... but at least there's no pain...
Then she took the first step and...
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" With that first step she felt as if all the bones in her leg had exploded and the bone fragments had crashed into her musculature like tiny shards of glass before the muscle exploded as well. "M-Fuck...me and my big sandwich...haa...haa...fuck..."
Taking a sharp intake of breath Lena took another step forward, Todoroki was only a couple of meters in front of her. Just a few steps. Just hold on. Breathe.

Every step felt like torture.
Every step felt like an eternity.
Every step felt like everything else was just an illusion as if nothing was real.
But every pain felt so fast and so real that she knew it couldn't be fake.
She hadn't even noticed that the cracks were getting brighter and bigger with each step.
She hadn't even realized that his surroundings were constantly changing with each step.
There was only one thing on his mind.
Keep going.
And don't stop.
After what for Lena was hours or years but for the world was not even a blink of an eye she reached Todoroki's side.
And she immediately cancel the Acceleration.

A large blast of ice was created in front of Todoroki as a result of his last attack.
Then he felt a presence next to him and looked at it with wide eyes.
HOW?!!! Todoroki thought. Shouldn't I be able to... dodge...?
Looking at Lena who had appeared beside him she looked... different.
Her hair was messy, her skin was a little whiter than before, her clothes were torn (more than during the fight), but most importantly her eyes were totally white but from them came a light blue energy and small rays.
For Todoroki. Lena looked exactly like a Thunder God... of course if he had been female and 170cm tall... but still it was strangely terrifying.
After a second that felt like an eternity. Lena's eyes stopped glowing and she collapsed forward falling on top of Todoroki.
The latter froze as he quickly held Lena and saw she was unconscious.
"SHOTOO WINS!!!" PresidentMic announced as the audience went crazy from the intense battle that took place.
Quickly the robots came with a stretcher to take the injured Lena to the medical room, leaving Todoroki a bit dazed as he walked towards the bleachers.
He couldn't shake the image of Lena with the glowing eyes, it was as if he wasn't seeing Lena, but something else.
What... was that?

At first I was going to summarize all the remaining battles in this chapter to end this Tournament crap, but this was longer than expected.
Also I think I wrote Todoroki's fighting style a bit wrong but well I did the best I could.
Next chapter will be the end of the fucking Festival Arc, at first I liked it but shit it's too long to write.
