After driving for a while and making several turns, they finally reached their destination.

Since it was a weekday, there were fewer people than on weekends. The two lined up to buy tickets and soon entered the park.

Shen NingXin got a map from the young girl by the entrance and began to look at it as she walked.

She came here a long time ago with her cousin, but the amusement park had just been built at that time, so it didn’t feel complete yet. There were only the standard claw machine, carousel, and other similar facilities.

Unlike now, where she’s almost dizzy from all the various choices.

Thinking that the whole point was for Qiu YiBai to relax, she showed her the map and asked for her opinion, “President Qiu, do you want to look and see if there’s anything you want to ride?”

“I don’t care.” Qiu YiBai didn’t look at her as she stood upright with her chin raised, as though she were uninterested in everything here. “You can choose.”

“It’s you who wanted to come anyway.”

“. . . . . .”

There was no point in asking.

Shen NingXin sighed, and knowing that this person was too embarrassed to speak for the sake of her face, she didn’t ask anymore.

Instead, she raised her eyes to observe her expression.

She thought, she could at least figure out something from looking at her.

For instance, just a moment ago, she saw Qiu YiBai glance at the spinning teacups ride before quickly withdrawing her gaze.

Shen Ningxin understood. She didn’t want to ride that.

Further ahead, there was a carousel that shined and sang.

Qiu YiBai simply looked at it, then pursed her lips a little.

She probably wasn’t interested in that either then.

Shen NingXin nodded and continued to walk forward. After taking a few steps, she suddenly heard several screams from nearby. When she looked up, she found that it was a newly launched ride — the Blue Moon Rollercoaster.

It was basically the same as the standard roller coaster, except more thrilling. It practically never stopped rotating, went back and forth, and was extremely fast, like a big blue mouse running around.

After a round, the people above had an expression that seemed uglier than crying.

It made people’s livers tremble just looking at it.

Qiu YiBai definitely wouldn’t be interested in such a terrifying ride.

Shen NingXin thought like this and just as she was about to turn and leave, she discovered Qiu YiBai staring at the “blue mouse” in a trance.

Then, as though suddenly thinking of something, she chuckled lightly after a moment.

Shen NingXin was taken aback.

So . . . she was interested?

This crybaby’s preferences were this odd?!

She paused, then asked tentatively, “Do you think that’s fun, President Qiu?”

“Yeah, that’s fun.” Qiu YiBai nodded subconsciously, a smile still evident in her eyes. “Look at that group of . . .” She only spoke halfway.

Probably realizing she was losing her composure again, she quickly closed her mouth.

But her meaning was clear.

Shen NingXin stared at her for a moment, then finally stretched out her hand and tugged her sleeves. “Should we go and try it out then?”

As soon as her voice fell, Qiu YiBai widened her eyes. “I’m not going!”

But in Qiu YiBai’s dictionary, “no” generally meant “yes”.

So . . . not going probably meant yes, she wanted to.

“Let’s go, then.” Shen NingXin smiled and didn’t hesitate anymore, tugging on the corner of her clothes as she quickly went to line up.

In Qiu YiBai’s memories, this was the first time they had such close contact.

The warmth from her fingers slowly dispersed into the fabric of the clothes, cooling her fingers a little, yet they still felt burning hot for some reason.

Shen NingXin was focused on passing through the crowd and naturally didn’t notice anything unusual. However, Qiu YiBai’s ears were currently red at this point, and her thoughts began to flutter, too.

She was dazed to the point that she couldn’t refuse in time and only began to regret when she was already seated.

But it was too late and the rollercoaster whizzed through the track twice. By the time she came down, her legs were weak.

Shen NingXin bent over and panted, trying to catch her breath before she finally recovered after a while. She then hurriedly asked about Qiu YiBai’s state, “Are you okay, President Qiu?”

She didn’t receive any response to her question.

Stunned, she quickly stood upright and turned her head around to ask again, “President Qiu, you . . .”

She didn’t even finish speaking this time.

Qiu YiBai was standing a little far from her at the moment. Shen NingXin couldn’t hear her, but she could see that seemed to be muttering something quietly.

Her expression was a little dazed, not smiling nor crying, and after a while, she still decided to act cool, so it turned out to be like this in the end: ⊙v⊙

Shen NingXin: “. . . . . .”

She didn’t turn stupid now, did she!

Afraid that something really happened to this crybaby, Shen NingXin quickly stood up and ran in front of her, continuing to ask about her situation, “President Qiu, are you okay?”

“I’m fine,” Qiu Yi Bai responded, deliberately avoiding her gaze before she finally turned to look at her after regaining composure.

However, her voice was still trembling a bit, fluttering as she asked, “Where are we going next?”

She looked like she was about to cry.

Shen NingXin was silent for a moment and contemplated for a while before finally saying, “How about . . . let’s ride the carousel.”

The horses sparkled.

Qiu YiBai glanced around and finally chose the whitest, brightest horse with horns to sit on.

Shen Ningxin didn’t really care and simply sat down on the one opposite of her.

The ride quickly began, and the crowd circled the center slowly.

Shen NingXin took out her phone under the guise of taking pictures, but she was actually observing Qiu YiBai’s small expression.

She realized that at this moment, Qiu YiBai, who was sitting on the horse, finally seemed to relax. All of the nervousness and tension from before had disappeared.

In fact, she seemed a bit cozy, her eyes filled with fulfillment.

It looked like . . . she really enjoyed it.

So, she actually did want to ride this and was only trying to lie to herself, thus putting on such an annoyed look before.

Going even further, when she said she didn’t want to ride the rollercoaster, she really meant it. She only laughed because the cries of the people from the previous round were funny.

“. . . . . .”

Trying to fully understand this crybaby was so difficult!

Shen NingXin felt frustrated and lifelessly slumped on her horse without speaking.

“What’s wrong?” Qiu YiBai came over to her side and asked after the ride stopped. “It was just a rollercoaster, you’re still scared till now?”

“No, that’s not it.” Shen NingXin shook her head, and just as she was about to say something else, Qiu YiBai opened her mouth.

“If you’re still not over it, then let’s ride the spinning teacups next.” She then added, “I’m only trying to take care of you.”

It’s obviously you who wants to ride it. Pretty good at giving yourself a way out, huh.

Shen NingXin was silent.

But as long as she was happy, Shen NingXin had no objections, so in the end, she simply nodded and followed her to the spinning teacups ride.

Afterward, they played darts and claw machines.

Surprisingly, Qiu YiBai was really lucky and picked up two dolls in a row.

Shen NingXin quickly complimented her, “That was awesome, President Qiu!”

“It’s not a big deal,” Qiu YiBai replied nonchalantly but was hugging the dolls tightly.

They came to the park quite late and coupled with the long wait times for each ride, it was already dark by the time they finished playing.

After Qiu YiBai played to her heart’s content, she soon remembered she still had unfinished work and insisted on going back.

Shen NingXin nodded in response and walked by her side as they returned.

Just as they were about to exit, a child suddenly ran toward them. His speed was too fast and coupled with how the ground was uneven, he somehow tripped and slid in front of them.

Even his forehead was scraped red. He then sniffed and soon cried out.

Shen NingXin couldn’t bear seeing children cry, so she hurriedly stepped forward and helped him up, patting his back softly and coaxing him for a while.

But it was still no use. The child wouldn’t stop crying, his tears pouring down like a running faucet.

Shen NingXin grew anxious, and as she was wondered what to do, a hand holding a doll suddenly appeared in sight.

When she raised her eyes, she saw Qiu YiBai standing behind her.

At this moment, the lights were all turned on. Because she was standing with her back to the lights, her entire body was shrouded in a shadow, so Shen NingXin couldn’t see her face clearly.

But for some reason, she was able to read a sense of gentleness coming from her.

She blinked and watched Qiu YiBai kneel down gently, hold the doll in front of the child, and ask in a soft voice, “Do you think this doll is pretty?”

The child quietly raised his eyes to look, then murmured, “Yes.”

“Then do you want it?” she asked.

The child continued to nod. “Yes.”

“If you want it then don’t cry.” Qiu YiBai let out a breath of air, then raised her hand and patted his head as she gently pushed the doll into his arms. “Only children cry, but you are a big boy.”

“Big boys wouldn’t tear up like this.”

There was a hint of ridicule in her tone.

But it worked, and after hesitating for a moment, the child stopped crying.

“Go find your mom now!” Qiu YiBai raised her hand and patted his head, then watched the child walk away speedily. “Go, go.”

After she finished speaking, the child gradually disappeared into the distance.

She finally stood upright again and turned around, glancing at Shen NingXin.

Shen NingXin was standing there in a daze, her expression holding similarities to A Ji.

Qiu YiBai thought it was funny and soon asked her, “What are you looking at, being so concentrated.”

Shen NingXin paused. “I was just . . .”

She couldn’t say it.

This was her first time seeing this side of Qiu YiBai.

This person was always so fierce when she spoke, and her face was also always hard, making people feel terrified. But in private, she was a prideful little crybaby who was never honest with her feelings.

Shen NingXin thought that this was all there was to her and only realized now that this person could also be very gentle at times.

Just how much of her did she still not know about?

Shen NingXin was in a daze as she thought and couldn’t come up with an answer immediately.

On the other hand, Qiu YiBai was already making her next move. She first raised her eyes silently to examine her expression, then soon walked over, passing the other doll in her hand over.

“Are you looking at this?” she asked, “Looking so concentrated, you like it that much?”

“I’ll gift this one to you then.”
