"This is way too light punishments for what she did. If it was left for me I would issue her a sacked letter right away but mum's attitude towards Jasmine will worsen excluding the fact that she will call Jane back into the office," Jackson muttered his expression turning gloomy. He hates having to put up with seeing Jane's face every day but for Jasmine sake, he will put up with her for a while.
"Don't worry boss sooner or later you will get rid of her from the company," Max tried to lighten up his boss mood.
"Yeah, she won't be so lucky next time. If she dares to do any despicable thing again I will fire her never to set foot into our company. Even though mum was to bring down brimstone then I won't listen to her," Jackson said fiercely.
"I will go past your order to the finance and administrative department," Max said before he turned to leave the office.
"Max, I forgot to ask, did you report the case to the police?" Jackson asked before Max could reach the door. Max turned and gave him a reply.
"Madam asked me not to report the case to the police. She doesn't want a scandal between you and another woman to arise because of this case...,"
"I never knew she cared about such a thing. Also, I can't believe she is so forgiving," Jackson muttered.
"She isn't forgiving but is protecting her man and her relationship. She also punched Jane really hard in the eye if you may know," Max said, he turned and leave the office afterwards.
For the entire day, Jackson did not call Jasmine. Meanwhile, in her office, Jasmine kept checking her cellphone every two minutes for any call or message from Jackson. She was so distracted the entire day and the usual attentive Catherine noticed it.
"If he won't call you then make the first move and stop torturing yourself. I will be forced to call him if you keep staring at your phone," Catherine working at the centre table threatened.
Because of how absent-minded Jasmine was the entire day, even she could not focus on her work properly. She worries about her best friend's sanity.
"You think I don't want to call him? Of course, I do but if I call him first he will assume that I have forgiven...,"
"Are you even mad at him that he will need your forgiveness?" Catherine asked playfully.
"Of course I am angry at him for falling into that scheming lady's plan. I am also angry at him for letting her touch him all over...,"
"Angry enough to reject going out with me for a dinner date?" They both heard a man's cool voice. The two of them turned to stare at the entrance at the same time.
Catherine turned to stare at her best friend when she saw that the one she has been waiting for instead of calling her showed up at her doorstep.
"Why won't I reject your offer...,"
"Jackson, that best friend of mine refused to eat breakfast and lunch because of her anger towards you. Do whatever you can to convince her to go have dinner with you. You are responsible for why she is like this. I will hunt you down if you fail to do that," Catherine threatened in a firm tone.
"Where do you think you are going...,"
"I am allergic to dog food that is why I am leaving. Also for his persuasion to work, I need to leave so he could convince you in a way in knows how to do best," Catherine folded the curtains for the couple. She left after completing this task.
Jackson covered the distance between them after Catherine left.
"Catherine says you haven't eaten the entire day so come with me let's have dinner...,"
"I would rather starve than eat with the one who hurt me," Jasmine said as she stood up. She made to approach the entrance but Jackson embraced her before she could walk past him.
"Max has told me everything that took place last night. Although I didn't have sex with her I am still guilty for the crime of hurting my love so I am sorry. Forgive me hmm," Jackson said still hugging her from behind.
"It's one thing to apologise and it's another to mean what you said so how do I believe that you won't do the same thing....,"
"That will never happen. If such a thing dares to repeat itself then you can do whatever you pleased to me. I won't complain even though you punished me to strip ten times," Jackson said as he released and turn her around so she was facing him.
"Stripping is a small punishment compared to the punishments I have in mind for you. Stay far away from that devious lady or you will be the one suffering in my hands for her sake," Jasmine said sternly.
"As long as it is my beloved who says it then I will abide by her instructions as long as it's not a bad one," Jackson said as he smiled at her.
"Stop smiling at this moment because your smile is kinda annoying. It makes me recall how you were smiling at me last night like a fool," Jasmine said with a frown. Jackson pulled closer and kissed her. He kissed her passionately for three minutes before he pulled away.
"I love you and I will always love you no matter the circumstances," Jackson professed his true love to her once again.
"Although you prove to be slightly foolish sometimes like last night incident, I can't help but fall deeper in love with you. You have completely bewitched me, Ice Prince," Jasmine said as she beamed at him.
"You have just been bewitched but I have long been bewitched since the first time I set my eyes on you," Jackson said grinning. The two continued smiling at each other.
"Let's go and have dinner. I am sure you must be starving," Jackson said as he grabbed her hand and made to lead her away.
"Wait for a minute while I save what I was working on," Jasmine said before she moved closer to her desk. The task didn't require her to sit down so she didn't. She concluded the task in no time, she and Jackson left for the restaurant afterwards.
Since it was almost closing hour, Catherine concluded the task she was working on. She went downstairs to join her boyfriend who has been waiting for her for a while now.
"Erin, I am planning to introduce you to my parents soon, what do you think about it?" Jeff asked after they had reached her place.. Catherine sitting beside him looked away when she heard his words.
