Chapter 374: Jasmine Fell Into Their Trap

Each time Jasmine made an exclamation Jackson always drank the portion of wine for her. He drank until he was highly intoxicated.
"Elizabeth, we have gotten him where we wanted so what should we do?" Evelyn asked with glittering eyes. Her expression showed that she couldn't wait for them to begin what Elizabeth had in mind.
"We are gonna ask him questions. Questions he wouldn't have answered if he was with his senses," Elizabeth said as she winked at the ladies.
"Eve, that is not nice of...,"
"If you two are not joining in the fun then you can excuse us. We are not asking him for the passcode to his safe so I wonder why you both are making long faces," Evelyn said before she turned to face the guy who wasn't with his senses.
"So Jackson do you love Jasmine?" Elizabeth asked the first question. Everyone waited to hear what his response will be.
"Of course I love her very much," Jackson's answers made the two guys who had subconsciously held their breath exhale deeply. His hesitation earlier had made them almost have a heart attack.
"Do you have plans of marrying her?" Alfred beats Evelyn to speak first. Just like the earlier question, he hesitated on giving his reply and everyone understood why it was so. He is dead drunk so how could he give answers quickly.
"I do... I do want to marry her as soon as possible but I guess she doesn't love me enough to want to be my wife," Jackson said in a drunken tone. Everyone focused their eyes on Jasmine. Their expression showed they wanted her to defend herself.
"Ice Prince, what are you talking about? You know what you said is not true," Jasmine said as she hits him gently on the hand.
"Those in his state don't lie so I am sure he is telling the truth. Why do you refuse to marry him? Is his guess that you don't love him enough correct?" Evelyn asked. What the naughty Jasmine did not know was that someone was videoing this particular session.
"Of course I love him and I want to marry him...,"
"Then what is stopping you from accepting his proposal?" Jeff interrupted her sharply.
"I haven't introduced him to mum and father yet...,"
"Are you saying as long as he gets your parents permission you will accept his marriage proposal?" Steve threw the bait. Everyone nervously waited to see whether Jasmine will grab the bait.
"Yes, I will," Jasmine said to the delight of Jeff, Steve and Evelyn. Steve and Jeff exchanged secret glances with smiles on their faces.
"Jackson, if you and Jasmine get married, how many little cute buns do you want her to give you?" Alfred asked the guy struggling to keep his eyes open.
"Hmm...," The drunk Jackson trailed like he was in deep thought. Jasmine bite her lower lips as she nervously waited for his response.
"I guess six will be enough," Jackson said to the delight of everyone. Everyone smiled while staring at the frowning Jasmine.
"Hey, you said you want six kids? How do you expect me to give birth to so many children?...,"
"Jasmine, I guess you heard him wrongly. He said he guessed six little buns will be enough meaning he isn't sure about the number. According to his words the number of kids he wants from you might be higher than six...," Elizabeth said grinning wickedly.
"It might be as high as ten babies," Catherine added suppressing the urge to laugh at her best friend.
"Hey Cat, stop guessing or I might pass out from shock if you guys keep this on," Jasmine said. The thought of having so many kids freaked her out.
"Chill, I am sure it isn't as scary as you think," Evelyn said not able to resist smiling.
"You think it isn't scary, just wait until Steve said he wants a basketball team as his number of children then you will know how scary it is," Jasmine said as she frowned at the drunk guy.
Everyone continued playing until it was close to midnight. They left Jackson's home smiling at their various homes.
Jasmine assisted her drunk man to their room, She helped him freshen up to make him sober. They were both too exhausted to do anything tonight so they slept in each other's arms.
The next day in Jackson's office Jasmine treats to all his employees the previous day was the main talk in the entire company. All the ladies came dressed up in some of the clothes and accessories they shopped for with Jasmine card the previous day to show off.
They could not stop praising Jasmine. Because of what Jasmine did, Jackson's employees forgot that there was ever someone like Jane in the picture. From that day onwards they all saw Jasmine in a different light.
From that day onwards, each time Jasmine dropped by their voices while greeting her became sweeter and even their smiles became broader. They gave her special treatments despite that Jackson did not ask them to do it.
Everything went smoothly. The way things went was as if the haters of their union had gone into seclusion.
Tonight Jasmine was approaching where she parked her car far away from the restaurant she and Catherine dined in when she felt as though people were following her.
To confirm her doubts she went over to a car, stood at the side mirror and pretended as though she was checking herself in the mirror.
"Goddamn it! I am being followed," Jasmine exclaimed after seeing the three men standing some distance away.
She quickly composed herself brought out her cell phone from her handbag and dialled Jackson's number. She began walking while waiting for a response.
Jasmine quicken her pace to see whether she will get them off her tail but unfortunately, they were still following her closely.
"Why isn't he answering the goddamn phone," Jasmine muttered angrily as she dialled his line for the second time.
