Chapter 378: Jane Got Slapped By Mrs Smith

Catherine chatted with others pretending not to hear what the two sisters were discussing.
Everyone there knew that Elizabeth anger was justified and that is why all of them supported Elizabeth earlier.
"Lizzy, you are the one who always told me to behave like a lady. You always remind me to be coolheaded so why are you contradicting yourself now...,"
"That was in the past and this is the present. They are some people who don't understand what it means to be polite and to such people, you have to dish out the same manner of treatment to...,"
"Are you even listening to what you are saying? It's my future mother-in-law you are talking about, are you aware of this?" Jasmine asked not understanding why his sister was telling her all this.
"Of course I am very aware of this. Just like she is a human, so are you. If she doesn't want to be treated badly then she should start respecting you," Elizabeth said in a stern tone.
"I will not be very polite if I dare witness her mistreating you...,"
"Shush... She is coming over. She might overhear you," Jasmine said as she nudged her sister by the side when she saw Mrs Smith approaching where they sits.
"I will be leaving now," Mrs Smith announced when she reached where all of them sat.
"Goodbye," The four others greeted but Elizabeth, Catherine and Jasmine did not utter a word.
From the look on Elizabeth and Catherine's faces, their dislike for the woman was evident on their faces just like Mrs Smith's dislike for Jasmine was very obvious.
"Let me see you off," Jasmine said immediately standing up.
"Don't bother," Mrs Smith said coldly before she left the room.
"As if you wanted to see her out because you like it," Elizabeth mumbled after Mrs Smith left.
Everyone gathered around Jackson after Mrs Smith had left. They talked and played for a long time.
They only left when the doctor came to check up on Jackson and complained that they were too much in the room.
After Mrs Smith left the hospital she went to the company. No one in the company expected the arrival of the chairwoman. She caught everyone off-guard.
They were so lucky that Mrs Smith didn't come for them but a single person. If she had come for inspection so many people would have gotten sacked.
When the angry lady reached the company she dialled someone's line. She only said a few words before she disconnected the call.
A few minutes later the angry Mrs Smith was seen on the company's rooftop. About three minutes after she arrived there, Jane was seen approaching where she stood.
"Auntie...," Mrs Smith raised her right hand and slapped Jane hard across the face. Jane was stunned and her bewildered expression was evident.
Jane raised her gaze to stare at the woman who just slapped her. She held her burning cheeks with her right hand.
"I don't care about what you do to that lady but hurting my beloved son is something I would never tolerate," Mrs Smith said in anger.
"I could kill you because of this. My son means the world to me. I will never stand and watch someone hurt him. If you want to eliminate your opponent then plan wisely but never drag my son into your mess. The next time my son gets hurt because of your plans, I won't be slapping you but it will be a bullet I will bury into your chest," Mrs Smith said fiercely.
Jane was astonished to see this side of her. She has never seen her so mad. Mrs Smith has never said hurtful words to her not to mention hitting her but she did that today.
Although she could understand why she was doing this she could not help but get angry. She isn't angry at Mrs Smith for slapping her but angry at Jasmine for ruining her plans. It's all because of her that Mrs Smith is enraged with her.
"Auntie, it wasn't my intention to hurt Jack...,"
"I don't care what was your intention. Jacky is my only child, the only close family I have after my husband died years ago. He is my everything and I won't hesitate to harm anyone who hurts him, get that straight into your head Jane. I like you to be my daughter-in-law but not at the expense of my son's life, understood," Mrs Smith said making sure that her words sunk into Jane's brain.
"Auntie, I am sorry. I will never repeat the same mistake. Please forgive me," Jane pleaded apologetically. She apologised not because she thought her actions were wrong but because she could not afford to lose her biggest supporter.
"You better be sorry because the next time my son gets hurt because of your fight with Avans daughter, I will forget the fact that you are my favourite," Mrs Smith said furiously before she stomped out of the rooftop in the same manner she did.
"Are you satisfied now that you have managed to spoil the good image Auntie had of me? Are you happy that the one who has always supported me is furious with me?" Jane yelled while staring at the sky.
"I hate you, Jasmine Avans. I hate everything about you. My name will no longer be Jane Allen if I don't put an end to this," Jane shouted in pain as she held her aching chest.
Tears flowed from her eyes when she recalled the way Jackson treated her when she went to the hospital to visit him out of worry. Even his mum who loved her did not spare her from her wrath.
The way his mum treated her was as if she was happy to see the man she loved hurt.
She stayed on the rooftop for close to an hour before she went back to her desk.
Jackson stayed in the hospital for only three days before he got discharged. Jasmine would have loved to see him stay in the hospital for treatment but she had no choice but to agree to his discharge because of the meeting he had the next day with foreign investors.

GOAL 3: For every 10 reviews I will give 3 chapters mass release. Last year I can count the number of reviews we got with my fingers so darling readers let's achieve this goal for a change.
P.S: Since I have become an author I have never promised so many chapters as a mass release and I am sure I won't be able to promise 18 chapters as mass release ever again so guys grab this chance while you can.
