It was yet another blazing day as the students of 2'E' attended their last class before the vacation. Today was half day, fortunately, or the weary expressions of the students might have eaten out the teachers.
Kei was just like usual sitting in his seat with Ryuuta at the front. Just like always, Kei was using Ryuuta's broad back to shield himself and lay down on the desk while spacing out.
Some days ago, various things occurred which weren't in his plan.
Kei not only got into relationship with the two most beautiful girls he has ever come across but also told them his secret about being what he actually is.
Ever since he came to know his origin and what powers he possesses, he was terrified of himself. Knowing the true reason for his birth, Kei never wanted to involve anyone in his life.
Especially when he already lost someone so precious to him….
But sometimes he also couldn't understand what his impulse makes him do.
Kei doesn't regret telling Karen and Kaori about his origin but he still feels that they would be dragged into a mess because of him in the future.
Of course, he can and will protect them but none of this has ever risen if he just retreated to Chaos Realm and left them behind.
It was true he would have hurt them but mortals have limited life and so their period of grieving. After a certain time, they might have forgotten him.

Shooing away the uselessly weighing thoughts, he heard the speech of the sensei concluding.
Everyone stood up to bid the teacher before she left and the class started to chatter.
"Wanna hit the arcade?"
Ryuuta turned to Kei as he asked with an excited tone. Since the matter with the Organisation has been settled down and vacations have just started, there's pretty much nothing for him to do.
His sister has also gone underworld to clear some jobs so there were none to put restrictions on him at all. It couldn't be a more perfect day!

"You sure wanna have fun while leaving her hanging?"
Ryuuta frowned and followed Kei's finger which was directed toward the entrance of the classroom.
After a second or two, there appeared a beautiful raven-haired girl who happens to be his teammate. Aoi Nakamura.
She clearly was seeking out Ryuuta with a complicated expression on her face as she greeted those who instantly gathered around her.
Ryuuta despite being a little annoyed, had to leave with her since he knew Aoi had something to discuss with him. She hasn't been to school for some days and also remained isolated for some reason.
Despite not wanting to, Ryuuta had to choose his comrade over his friend yet once again.
"...I will contact you in the evening."
"Hmm."
Kei just hummed before he started arranging his bag. He knew Ryuuta had a lot of duties from which he couldn't turn away, that's why Kei never felt bothered about it.
'He got it rough eh… '
Shaking his head in weariness to even think how many duties these organization people have to partake in, Kei got up to leave.
The school was already half empty as Kei walked out of the class and made his way to the cafè first.
He was hungry and didn't want to cook anything back home. For some days, Kei has gotten used to eating Karen's cooking as she has been practically taking care of almost everything related to Kei.
But now when she has to return to Blood Realm for some matters, he was again left alone.
'Is it the normie symptoms I am feeling… '
Kei might not admit that he was missing Karen and Kaori but deep down he knows that there were emotions he now shares with the two which would only grow deeper as time goes by.

Just upon stepping inside the eatery, he bumped into a girl who was some inches shorter than him.
Both of them remain frozen because Kei and the girl were familiar which each other.
"Kei-kun?"
"Mika-san? Y-you have changed quite a bit."
Kei stuttered slightly as he looked at the girl who used to be a timid personality some weeks ago.
Now she had a more vibrant atmosphere around her and due to her bangs not covering her face, Kei realized what adorable charm she was hiding.
"T-Thank you."
Kei failed to realize first but there were a few girls and boys with her who undoubtedly didn't want to get tolled by him.
Taking a glance again at Mika, he walked inside after leaving his parting words.
"See you later…"
"Ah, Kei-kun?"
Kei heard being called, but the people who urged her to get moving also didn't go unheard by him, so Kei chose to keep on walking forward.
He was happy that Mika have changed after everything got sorted out. Kei made a mental note to tip agent Carl for the evident great job he did.
'Let's get something sweet for celebration…'
Just as he halted near the counter someone tucked his shirt before Kei turned to look at the person.
"I was calling yet you… "
