It takes years for a dragon kid to open their eyes and another bunch of hundred years to stabilize on their feet.

Since the basic core of draconic beasts forms at the times of their infant state, it was undertable why they take such a huge duration which could be a whole lifetime for various beings.

Kei was an offspring of a High Fallen Goddess and the only Dragon Emperor to ever exist. Thus, self explaining why it took him almost double the time of a normal Dragon child.

Since it was plainly impossible to hide any presence from the Ruler of the Chaos Realm, Kei's adoptive mother had to disclose Kei's existence to him.

From his birth up to now, seven accessions to the throne have taken place and inevitably everyone knows what and who Kei is.

It was not in Kei's hands to stop the successors from knowing about his presence so he just didn't do anything about it.

The first Ruler of the realm after the great war, and the Dragon whom Kei's adoptive mother reached out to in order to keep Kei safe, took a curse upon himself at that time.

The curse was that if ever he or the person who would be sitting on the throne dares to betray the Eternal Highness(Kei) shall receive the most agonizing death.

Kei never understood why they vowed something like that when the lineage of the rulers might change with time but not like he could have stopped them.

Apart from the Royal Family, no one knows the existence of the second Demi-God and the entity that was destined to face the upcoming catastrophe.

'Sigh* It gets tiring every time… '

Sighing in weariness, Kei changed his appearance and became the Bounty Hunter which even the Dragons (other than royal family) don't allow to disrespect.

He couldn't wander in this plain being a high schooler nor did he have any motive to showcase his real face, especially after those two requested him so passionately.

Black Bounty was his free pass and Kei abuses his terror to freely venture through lands.

'Let's see… '

Crossing the portal which led him directly to the Royal palace, Kei eyed the surveillance and guards. He first thought to directly infiltrate the palace and get done with his formality but soon he remembered the request of the Dragon King from the last time he visited.

'Man… they're gonna exaggerate… '

Kei sighed and approached the outer perimeter where stood two guards on either side of the entrance and dozens of guards on the towers. There were some hidden soldiers as well, but sensing Black Bounty's presence, they didn't launch forward.

The two guards at the entrance stiffened as well when their eyes landed on the shrouded entity, approaching without any hesitation. Their body shuddered in fret at the memory of that time when they dared to attack him in suspicion and ended up on the verge of death.

It was a crucial battle of all the outer guarding units against a single outsider yet they failed to even land a decent blow on him. Later they got to know that this person was a special guest and should be allowed inside at any time unconditionally.

"Send a messenger to the court that the Hunter has arrived."

Hearing the fellow senior guard's command the other one nodded and spreaded his draconic wing on his back.

The dragons, unlike normal humans, have longer limbs and carry sturdier built. Their average height reaches up to 7 ft and not to talk about their otherworldly aesthetics which could make even the most popular actor back on earth, run for their money.

Being in humanoid form does restrict their strength and skills but by no means, they are beings to laugh about. A single adult dragon has the strength to destroy the whole Vanguard Organization without breaking a sweat.

"Castor!"

"Reporting."

As the guard called, another individual appeared out of nowhere as Kei finally arrived near the entrance.

"P-Please follow, Castor. He will lead the respected Hunter to the main palace."

The fret in both of the dragons' eyes was so vivid that it might make those from the lower realm doubt whether these beings really belong to the strongest race or not.

But it was not that these two guard dragons were weak. Far from it. It's just, the entity they stood in front of was practically their potential death, and someone close to their Liege.

Kei naturally felt their reaction a little over the top but he didn't say anything and started following the guard named Castor.

Just like other low-rank dragons by birth, this guard whom Kei was following had nothing protruding on their head but the strong aura surrounding them was overwhelming enough to keep under their sleeve.

Every guard has a role and rank. Since Dragons don't rely on shields and such, no one bothers with armor and external defenses. Only some of them carried weapons but most of them trusted their limbs at best.

Suddenly amidst his useless thoughts, Kei remembered something…or to be precise, someone before his eyes widened and feet came to halt.

'I completely forgot she must be here too…'
