KuliKuli groaned, moving onto her side before grunting as a sharp pain ran through her paw. Pouting, she curled up raising her knees to her chest before hearing a soft female voice to her side.

"It's okay to get comfortable, but I will need to see your paw eventually."

Alarmed, KuliKuli leaped up and landed on all fours in bed, her hair and tails standing up on edge. Her claws were out and ready, her senses heightened momentarily while ignoring the searing pain in her arm. Any threat to her was a threat to her mate!

"KuliKuli! It's okay, it's us!"

Felix rushed in between her and the intruder, comforting KuliKuli as she knew he was safe and telling the truth. Just then, the pain resurfaced and she collapsed on her side, hugging her injured arm and squealing in pain.

"Looks like the adrenaline rush cme and went, now she's feeling it hit her hard."

Kuli looked up, finding that voice rather familiar. To her surprise, it was a lean and healthy looking brunette with long hair searching through a backpack she carried with a red plus on it. It was the market woman.

"You?"

Janette looked up and smiled, pulling out a small dish with a lid on. Unscrewing the lid, she kneeled over to the side of the bed and slowly began to undo the bandages left on KuliKuli's arm. She stared quietly as the market woman revealed more and more scratches on her fur, looking up at her mate for comfort. Felix nodded and smiled back, helping her feel better.

"Me-ow!"

KuliKuli yelped as Janette rubbed a strange cream onto her wounds, extending her claws as a reaction from the pain. This made Janette pull back out of shock as Felix moved to KuliKuli's side and held her other paw. Placing a hand on her shoulder, it brought comfort to her as she closed her eyes and controlled her panting breath.

"It'll be okay, I know it hurts now but she will help you recover quickly."

"It stinnnngs..."

"I know, I know and please forgive me for that but I promise this will help."

KuliKuli squirmed a bit and huffed, Janette looked to be massaging the healing cream into her cuts. It worried him how slowly she was going as if she wanted her to feel the pain, but regardless he did the only thing he felt would give his pet comfort.

He kissed her.

Her ears perked up as he did, feeling that familiar soft warmth as their lips touched. Upon pulling back, she shook at the pain but didn't pout so much this time. It helped, and he felt her paw pull his head back down for another kiss and another. Janette blushed and kept her eyes on her work, noticing that the girls claws had begun to retract. It was awkward for her as she reached out for those cloth wrappings that Felix used as bandages before once again wrapping them around KuliKuli's arm, keeping the healing cream against her many cut wounds. She sat back as the two continued holding each other, the sound of lips smacking and kissing was becoming more vocal as Janette cleared her throat.

"Ahem, I'm done."

Felix pulled away much to KuliKuli's disappointment and looked over at Janette, blushing as if he had forgotten she was there.

"Oh, right. Good, sorry about that I was eh-"

"You don't have to explain yourself, in fact I would say you keep going."

"What?" Both master and pet asked, their voices mixed in unison.

Janette jumped back and waved her hands in dismissal. "Not in that way! I read up about Monster Girls, specifically Nekomata's, after your little scene in my shop. Apparently you feed on men's seed and it helps replenish any lost energy and keeps you beautiful and your fur pretty. I don't know what it said about intercourse though, aside from mating for life."

"For life?" They both asked.

She nodded. "Yea, they only have one love in their lifetime. Something about having to match their scent with the right guy though, a person that makes them feel safe and comfortable. Very submissive too, of course."

"Where did you learn this from?" Felix asked.

Janette reached for a satchel she had placed against the bed, undoing the strap which kept her belongings tucked and secured in her bag. Exposing the contents of her bag revealed several books varying in different sizes of width, each cover in a separate color. There were four books in total, one by one she placed them atop the mattress for everyone to see, placing each book side by side. She pointed at one book in particular, a large one in an aged brown book cover with some of the corners torn or split, and repeatedly tapped the front with her finger.

"This one was written by numerous authors, some of them accompanied famous travelers on expeditions to explore foreign lands, we wouldn't have them on our maps had it not been for their bravery. Here," She opened the book and began flipping through pages by the handful, eventually settling on one that held a sketch of a familiar Monster Girl.

"She looks like me!" KuliKuli gasped, astonished with wide eyes.

"She is like you. This was the sketch of a Nekomata, a term that describes the Monster hybrid depicted as a half human woman and a half wild cat or ocelot. You can read about it here." She paused, pointing at the inked font below the drawing as KuliKuli and Felix leaned in over each shoulder.

They waited for a minute until Felix broke the silence. "So what does it say?"

"It's there. I can leave the book here for a few days if you'd like. Unless..." She paused and looked at them both, taking note of their blank, wandering eyes scanning the pages without any clear indication of following the text. "Can you read?"

Felix shook his head. "No one taught me to read."

"Okay, that complicates things."

"What does it say about catnip?" Janette turned to look at him, seemingly annoyed as he pulled back. "What?"

"The same way cats react to catnip."

"Oh."

With that, she closed the book and placed it back in her satchel. KuliKuli reached out and placed her paw over the largest one with a white cover. "And this one?"

"That one was written by four individuals versed in medicinal techniques, treatments and how to care depending on multiple diseases or wounds. Most of it applies between humans, elves and dwarves of most class, but there's none written with the idea for caring for Monster Girls as of yet. That book I showed you goes over their habitats, diet, and mate selection process. The idea was to examine and learn more about them since... well you know."

"People are scared of me." KuliKuli answered for her.

Janette sighed. "Yes, they do. It's not you specifically, it's for all Monster Girls. We don't know about your origin, where you come from or if you each come from different places. Some of you show hostility, even the book describes those. Take Vampires for example, do you know about them?"

The Nekomata shook her head no while her mate remained quiet.

Janette continued. "Vampires were a unique species of Monster Girls because they gave the appearance of the human species so it was difficult to tell them apart. The main weakness was that they were nocturnal, their pale skin would burn under sunlight. But their power and lifespan was unheard of, mythical in nature. To my understanding, they cannot die from old age, nor do they show signs of aging. Some fables describe them as living over a century and still carry the beauty of a woman in her youth as if she were old enough for marriage. But I don't really bother with those, they sound like fictional terror stories to me. Nothing is real to my eyes unless I see it, and you are very real. Real but friendly, just as I wondered."

"Friendly?" She asked with a soft smile.

Janette smiled back. "Very friendly to my eyes. Felix told me you engaged in a fight with a wolf girl to rescue him, that is a feat not many women could do. He was very insistent that I would help you in some way, and by my word I have not spoken to anyone about you."

"Thank you for that, we appreciate your aid greatly." Felix nodded and smiled, moving to sit beside KuliKuli to hold her paw.

"I applied some cream to help prevent any infection from the wounds since they were deep enough to bleed. It doesn't look like she was bleeding profusely, and she seems capable again. Do you feel dizzy?"

"Nuu, just tired. My arm hurts but it's not so bad now."

"That sounds good. Perhaps in the future we can find someone more capable then my amateur skills."

"You helped more than we could ask for." He reaffirmed her contribution, making her smile in return. "But, I need your help with something else."

"Right, her. Is she... safe?" Janette gasped when they heard a loud bang against the wall. KuliKuli held her breath and reached out for his arm as he brushed her back to comfort her.

"I kept her restrained, I'll show you in a moment. KuliKuli, can you stay hear and rest?"

"Master, are you in danger?" She looked up to him with large eyes as he patted her head.

"I'm fine, I assure you. I'm no stranger when it comes to being bound and restrained. You helped me plenty, now get some rest my brave savior." He kissed her forehead drawing out a soft giggle from her as she leaned her head back against the pillow, watching them exit the bedroom.

"Don't keep me waiting!" She hollered at the open door.
