The entire room fell silent after Lin Yu finished speaking.

Not only were Wang Miao and Zhao Xiaolu stunned for a second, but even the livestream comments froze for a moment.

Shortly after…a wave of chaos began bursting through the seams.

[F*ck me. Pigeon Demon. You actually had something like that up your sleeves. You are despicable.]

[My brothers, our enemy has deceived us. Let’s bail?]

[So we’re only a tool? I have actually became a tool for a man? Would you believe me if I told you that?]

[Hahahah, 666. How are all you ten thousand tools doing?]

[The academic genius was actually this terrifying? That old despicable man must secretly be studying psychology.]

[Damn, this is what a truly ruthless man looks like. Is this what ‘backing someone into a corner and their survival instincts would kick in’ meant in mythical texts?]

[It’s undeniable that this streamer was truly something. I won’t mess with you in the future anymore. Your views went up and I’ll repent by paying you in B coins.]

[Stop watching, stop watching already. My brothers, he’s not even paying us our wages. We can’t allow this old despicable man to take advantage of us without reparations.]

Countless comments expressing ‘dissatisfaction’ appeared on screen. A group of people voiced out their unwillingness to be tools and that they would leave the livestream.

Of course, it was all meant as a joke. All the commenters did not intend to leave as they sent in a constant wave of comments on screen; some even invited other viewers to watch this drama unfold. Cause of this, the livestream’s viewer count never fell and instead, increased exponentially in numbers.

“You’re awesome.”

Zhao Xiaolu snapped out of her shocked state as she silently gave Lin Yu two thumbs up.

“It’s actually an epiphany for me. I couldn’t have done it without the stuff you told me.”

Lin Yu humbly waved his hands around, downplaying his fame.

Inside the Related Department branch of Changhai City.

“What are you looking at, professor?”

Lin Hai seemed frantic as he hastily pushed the office door open.

“Heheh, I just finished my work so I brought this little brat along to watch a livestream with me.”

An old man with a full head of white hair sat in front of a computer. He looked up after hearing a voice, chuckling as he fiddled with his reading glasses.

The man was Professor Li, who had accompanied Lin Hai to Lin Yu’s dorm. He was carrying a small child with smooth porcelain skin. The child sucked its thumb while completely glued to the monitor. It behaved extremely well, and anyone would be captivated by the child with just a glance.

“Oh? Which Awakened Superhuman is so special that even you learned how to tune into a livestream?”

Slight curiosity flashed across Lin Hai’s face. While he spoke, he came in closer while playfully teasing the little child in Professor Li’s arms.

“Not an Awakened Superhuman. It’s that Little Lin from previously. Truly, these youngsters mind’s are creative. He’s made something else that is interesting.”

Professor Li gently moved the child while using his other arm to gesture at the monitor. It was currently showing Lin Yu’s livestream.

Lin Hai proceeded to listen to Professor Li’s description of the earlier situation and said, “After hearing what you have to say, it sounds very fragmented. Is this little toy of his really that effective?

“It’s not suitable for everyone, but it works well when he uses it. This little brat has an imaginative mind even if his motivations are praiseworthy. If he works on his foundation, he will someday become an exceptional and intellectual person.”

Professor Li nodded his head while gleefully chuckling.

“It doesn’t look too special? It’s still interesting to you?”

Lin Hai said, puzzled.

“This ‘backed into a corner and desperate survival instinct’ fighting spirit isn’t special? Heheh, it seems this little brat must’ve been quite depressed lately. Besides being so violently agitated by the other two, well, I have also been quite dissatisfied with Old Man Zou all those years ago…”

Whenever a person grew older, they would become more emotional and long-winded. As Professor Li spoke, a glimpse of retrospection flashed across his eyes as he slowly strayed away from the main topic.

The scene returned to Lin Yu.

After casually chatting with Zhao Xiaolu, the break timer from his Pomodoro Interval was over. Once again, Lin Yu demonstrated ‘Liu Xiahui’s’ personality as he briefly excused himself and immediately returned to his seat to begin studying again.

‘I love studying.’

‘Addicted to studying to the point of inextricability!’

Zhao Xiaolu did not stay in the library for too long. After about 20 minutes of reading, she left with Wang Miao, taking a good hard look at Lin Yu before she left. It seemed he had obviously left behind a huge impression on her again.

He did not have any classes at noon. Due to this, Lin Yu stayed in the library until approximately 6pm. He ended the livestream after getting bombarded by insults by a huge number of followers and left the library.

As he approached the main door to the library, he stared at the gradually dimming sky on the horizon and looked back at the library’s main door, feeling a major sense of change toward his life in his heart.

Snapping out of his study addiction state, he thought about wanting to slap his haters’ faces in the livestream but only ended up studying the whole time. He was unsure if he had successfully slapped their faces or not.

‘Alright, even if I succeeded in slapping them, it’s still pointless. Not being able to see is the same as unable to reap the rewards of success.’

“Heheh.”

He tilted his head back and chuckled gracefully, ridding his mind of that earlier thought.

Who were these haters and trolls anyway? They were all unimportant. The reason followers were called followers was because most of them were people who loved him. Besides, if they were actual haters and trolls, why would they have gone out of their way to intentionally watch his livestream? Even if they did, no matter how well he performed, they would still find something to hate on.

He felt his current achievement was the most valuable and was more satisfying than actually slapping these haters’ faces.

The more dejected someone felt, the stronger the desperation to change would be since a dejected person would often bring negativity into their lives.

However, the reasons for these people feeling dejected varied in a plethora of factors and complicated reasons. No matter how determined they were, they often lacked the will to carry out anything. In the end, everything they did was nothing more than a lost thought buried at the back of their minds.

However, if they actually took the first move to step out of this vile, perpetual cycle of negativity, their lost hope would be reignited and they would often know how to appreciate it more than anyone else.

He felt the slight changes in the right direction and was no longer feeling helpless and concerned about his studies. He was satisfied and filled with determination. Thus, no matter how much he chose to play at home, he would be at peace with it and not be struck with regret the moment he woke up the next day.

Thus, he was thoroughly relaxed as if reborn anew, a completely changed man.
