Smart monster versus smart hunter
From the hill the view was clear. Qiqi has some difficulty segregate through the darkness. "Where is the monster at this time?" he asked Qiao. "It is at the left part of town from here. I never saw such monster. It is strange." Qiao commented. He was thinking that perhaps he has to use the new weapon hence alone hunting might bring tough face over. The monster was aware that the smart hunter has finally spotted its whereabouts. They looked at each other from the long distance as if they were standing in front and glaring.
The round iris was shining in the darkness; Qiao could see odd shape of the monster; the huge face with the short hind part along with legs. Suddenly tongue came out and broke the wall of the house clearing the sources. This was something Qiao never anticipated to see. He was in fact shocked. The tongue was unusually longer. It could easily tackle ten over humans in one go and sweep them. "I am going to see the monster; if you felt its presence near then shout my name twice also enter in the house and shut it close." Qiao patted his shoulders and voiced.
Qiqi nodded and remained there alert. Qiao left in the direction knowing the people were scared with the attack of the monster. Using stones around the houses or the population was dangerous because the stone energy leaks out in every direction during the attack. There was no way addressing this problem. The stones bear monstrous energy and it does not bound especially during active attacks. Taking weapon in his hand; Qiao rushed like slow medium pace of the wind. His present level was enough complement his rush skill. The people of the house were shouting and throwing things on the monster.
The monster get annoyed and swept its tongue. Qiao leapt the same time and supported the human taking away from the tongue attack. The human was saved at the last moment. The monster glared the hunter and folded back its tongue. It rushed like the ball rolling on the ground. The huge mouth perhaps gave this ability or the monster has learned it with the time for escape. "Rest assured this monster would soon be hunted down. Till then you are requested to save yourself." Qiao voiced as if the government official was giving instructions on the legal ends.
The people hurriedly shut the door closed as per instruction and waited for the time. Seeing the hunter they were sure that the monster would no more be able continue the snatching of the sources. Qiao jumped and reached the roof top surveying the area for searching the monster. It was running in the fifth street. Qiao did not jump on the fragile roofs of the houses and ran toward the fifth street. The monster seemed like a ball running with small feet though the pace matching with the normal hunter. Qiao had seen many wonders already and he no more feel awed whenever witnessed something off.
The night was dull and dark. Qiao reached the same street and there the monster stopped at the end of the street looking in the direction where the hunter was standing. It seemed two opponents were facing each other then suddenly the monster coward. "I know you will not come straight." Qiao chuckled. For all those monsters wreak havoc in the night; this coward attitude suits such type of monsters. They cannot face the hunters in the open. Qiao rushed behind; he did not forget that the monster bear a long tongue for surprise attack.
The monster hide somewhere; after a long look over Qiao was worried where did the monster disappear? He was following behind and lost the track suddenly. He was trying sense its presence but no avail. Qiao ran through broken houses and the open streets. Shy Rode saw the hunter constantly chasing and decided give up snatching the sources for today. Qiao sat the near hill; he could keep an eye at the direction where he lost the monster. In the middle of the night; Rode sneaked changing his present location. It decided to leave the down and after some days return back.
Seeing the hunter was very diligent; he sure would hunt it before the evolution and the monster cannot let this happen. The monster could delay the evolution for sure because saving life comes first. Qiao tensed up at the thought of losing the tracks of the monster. In his eyes; before the next day begins, he was bound to seriously injure the monster else he will be forced to wait for another night to search the whereabouts of the monster. The town was big but if the monster left the premises of the town then it would increase the worry.
Outside laid the big forest where numbers of races of the monsters wander. It means that he failed the class test if the things turned this way and he won't be able justify anything. He availed this chance and who knows how the strange elder would treat him after that. There was no way accepting such outcome. Qiao surveyed the surrounding and his eyes caught the slow shadow. The monster was following the next street. Few more streets and the monster would be able leave the premises of the town.
Qiao did not choose the hind path instead came from the front. He wanted to know the attentions of the monster. Such shabby actions meant that his premonition was true. The monster was thinking to leave the town. Qiao suddenly appeared in front of the monster and it halted. Its pace was already sneaky and questionable. "Whether fight or die; you cannot run away without my permission." Qiao glared the over smart monster. The monster ran backward. It did not expect that the hunter was still looking for it eagerly. "Do not coward and face." Qiao gritted his teeth. The monster was running backward; thankfully the street ended on closed.
Now there was nowhere to go other than facing the angry hunter. It was fate that the street was not opening in another path else Qiao would have doomed. The monster could run in opposite direction with the same pace.
