The team Winner still plans to do their best to snatch the No. 1 position in the survival show while enjoying their time.

Team Lucky, on the other hand, doesn't seem as happy as other teams would expect them to be.

"Alice, is there a problem? You know that we took first place, right?"

Matthew is puzzled by Alice's reaction because her eyes are shaking, evidently indicating that she's worried about something. Something that he didn't know.

He was happy when he read the message and wanted to exchange some points for dishes to celebrate. But his excitement diminished the moment he saw Alice's reaction. She hasn't talked to him yet, which is why he took the bullet and asked.

Alice takes a deep breath, trying not to think too much.

"It's nothing."

"No, let's talk about it. I've had enough of guessing what's on your mind all this time. Every time I asked you, you would say the same thing. Just what the hell is your problem? We are a team and friends, right? We are in this together until the last day on this island, and seeing you like this, often, but not being able to do anything makes me feel useless!"

Alice is shocked by Matthew. This is the first time Matthew has talked a lot and expressed himself to her. She tends to ignore him when she thinks about Yanna, but she can't say it to Matthew. She thought Matthew wouldn't care about it, but she was wrong, really wrong.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't feel sorry. At least try to explain what's happening. I'm just worried about you."

Matthew felt embarrassed after he said those words. He lost control of himself, but he didn't regret it. It also made him breathe more comfortably and think about the problem seriously.

Alice was moved by Matthew because she knows how hard it is for someone like him to express himself, but because of her, he opened up. She takes a deep breath again and closes her eyes for a moment.

"You're right, we're friends and a team. I'm sorry about that."

Matthew didn't speak; instead, he invited Alice to sit down.

"I will tell you, but turn off your mic first."

Since they are still on live broadcast, she can't say anything personal. Matthew becomes nervous because it means it is something serious, and he doesn't know if he is crossing Alice's boundaries by making the demand.

"You know, I haven't told this to anyone. So you better not tell this to anyone, even to a ghost."

Matthew gulped when he heard Alice's threatening voice. He had an ominous premonition that it was something he would love to know.

"I- I better not know it. I think it's good now."

Matthew becomes timid and ready to go. He doesn't want to get involved in something troublesome.

"I take back my words. I regret saying those words."

But before he could leave, he was grabbed by the collar by Alice and forcefully sat down. He was shocked and looked at Alice. What people saw was a harmless smile, but what he saw was a threatening smile. He gulps for the second time and tries to act as if he is not intimidated.

"As I was saying, you really should explain yourself."

"I know, I wanted to talk about it to someone actually, but I don't trust people that much."

"Oh, then you don't have to force yourself."

"No, Matthew, thank you. You yelled at me and talked a lot. I know it's not in line with your personality, but because you're concerned about me, you did so. And at that moment, I knew I could trust you somehow."

Matthew just opened his mouth, but no words came out. He closed it and nodded when he saw that Alice was about to tell something.

"I used to like someone when I was in high school. She had a bright personality, was naughty, and loved to smile. She wouldn't judge you for who you are. She was a wonderful person, but I didn't tell her that I liked her. Instead, I always asked her to help me since I was the class president at that time until we could talk normally like friends.

But in our situation, we both denied that we were friends. Sometimes she would ask me something she didn't understand in class, sometimes she would ask me what the best thing to do in certain situations was."

"You two didn't admit your friendship but you got along pretty well. Would you even answer her every question? What game were you two playing? Admitting meant losing?"

"Hahaha, because I liked her, I didn't want to be just friends, but I was a coward. I knew she wanted to be friends with me, but it was my choice.

Anyway, at that time, I started to get to know her better by being around her. I thought if I found something negative about her personality or background, I wouldn't like her, but I was wrong. I fell in love with her instead.

I found out that she was an orphan. She would look at beautiful clothes along the way, even delicious food that caught her attention, but she wouldn't buy them.

She wouldn't spend her money and would take part-time jobs. When she got her pay, she would buy vegetables and meat. There was a time that I walked in the same direction as her, and she asked me to just come with her.

She bought a lot of snacks and ingredients. I asked her why, and she said it was for her sisters and brothers."

"She's admirable."

"I know, that's why I fell for her. But she changed when she became an artist. In the first year, she still looked normal, but after graduation when I saw her again at a fan sign, she had changed a lot.

No one knew her better than me. She became unreasonable, timid, and gloomy. I hate to see her like that. She wouldn't look at me the way she used to, with a smile on her lips and a spark in her eyes. Everything became dark, and I could only see a lifeless stare.

I hate it. She changed, and I didn't even know what happened. Maybe if I had become friends with her at that time, she would have opened up to me and told me what was happening to her..."

Alice became emotional and started to cry. Matthew held her shoulder and kept himself quiet.
