SOS has banned Frozen Heart!

Luo Yiming’s cry of “Fuck” really is representative of everyone’s feelings.

Equally shocked, Jing Yu blanks out for half a day before he finally comes back to himself. His surprise doesn’t dampen in the slightest. There is even an odd sense of accomplishment – Frozen Heart unexpectedly got onto a ban position not because he is Frozen Heart, but because his player is him.

So, can this be considered SOS’s nod of acknowledgement towards his skills?

Besides that, he also thinks – Frozen Heart isn’t weak. There’re just too few people playing him, that’s all.

Jing Yu can’t resist simpering: “Wasting a ban position on me like this. Looks like Fei Ge can finally get Lilith this time.”

“Or Satan.” Qin Fei chips in, the edges of his lips curving up, “We will still go with banning Camael, Black Serpent, and Death God.”

“OK~” Ye Hong bans Camael as instructed, then asks out of curiosity, “Frozen Heart is out. Goldfish, what will you use to jungle later?”

“Mandala Petals.” Jing Yu doesn’t even hesitate. “I will make them regret banning my Frozen Heart!”

Luo Yiming: “Wow, I didn’t think you’d be so black-hearted, Goldfish. Just now, SOS got wrecked because of Mandala Petals. Now, if you really use Mandala Petals to demolish them, you’ll leave them traumatized.”

“That’s exactly the effect we’re going for ah~” Jing Yu says without an ounce of pressure. He even begins to sass again, “During the tournament, we’ll definitely run into SOS again. At that time, it’s best if they drop all things and run the moment they see us~”

“Tsk, tsk. Such a wolf of a man**.” Han Leng gives Jing Yu a thumbs-up . Then, upon seeing SOS ban Lilith, his eyes light up. “Oooooh! Looks like Fei Ge’s Satan will be making a comeback!”

(**wolf of a man: 狠人: heartless)

PG bans Black Serpent, and SOS follows it by putting Nine-Tailed Demon Fox in their last ban position.

After letting PG make their last ban, SOS directly instalocks Dark Cupid!

“I yield.” Luo Yiming looks at his own lifeline fall into the enemy’s hands with a tranquil expression, totally wearing the look of someone who’s attained Nirvana. “Looks like I won’t be getting Dark Cupid in an actual match.”

“I’ve long since yielded.” Ye Hong shrugs like it’s nothing. “My Nine-Tailed Demon Fox only exists in Standard.”

While the pair are chatting, Qin Fei has already chosen Satan, and Jing Yu picks Centaur in Luo Yiming’s stead.

Immediately after, SOS instalocks Burial Sword and Scarlet Fury.

En?

Scarlet Fury?

Ye Hong frowns: “What? Is my second lifeline also being coveted?”

“SOS can’t possibly be demoralized because of us ba?” Han Leng questions suspiciously.

Between Peacock Plume and Scarlet Fury, no matter which angle you’re looking from, Peacock Plume comes out on top – her abilities are more adaptable. Her AD’s high too.

However, in the last two matches, not only did SOS’s Peacock Plume not get any upper hand when facing Ye Hong’s Scarlet Fury at all, she was firmly suppressed by Ye Hong at every corner.

It can’t possibly be this which gave SOS the misconception Scarlet Fury is stronger ba?

“SOS, you’re playing with fire.” Ye Hong merrily declares, locking Peacock Plume in place. Almost at the same time, Han Leng locks Merman.

After all – The Bottom-Laning Centaur-Merman pair is the best at tower-dives and ganks!

To wrap it up, SOS locks Mad Bones and Ariel, and PG locks Mandala Petals.

Upon seeing Mandala Petals, every member of SOS plunge into dead silence.

PG… How annoying can you be!

With this, the two parties’ line-ups are confirmed:

PG: Satan, Peacock Plume, Centaur, Mandala Petals, Merman

SOS: Mad Bones, Scarlet Fury, Dark Cupid, Burial Sword, Ariel

“Our line-up’s so strong this time ah!” Luo Yiming can’t help exclaiming.

SOS’s actions really are beyond their realm of comprehension. First, they splurged a ban on Frozen Heart, then they set free Qin Fei’s Satan, who can easily cause a blood rain with his prowess. To top it off with a cherry, they even snatched Scarlet Fury, gifting the clearly stronger Peacock Plume to Ye Hong.

“This time, I’ll carry you to victory.” Qin Fei smiles.

His words cause the words from last round to inevitably hit Jing Yu. Jing Yu lets out an awkward cough.

Nevertheless, his teammates hardly spare an eye for his bashfulness. They only direct the most expectant of gazes at Qin Fei’s Satan.

Luo Yiming: “Fei Ge! The task of pentakill is up to you!”

Ye Hong: “Congratulations, SOS, on recalling the trauma of Satan’s domination!”

Han Leng: “Fei Ge’s Satan can pentakill by himself. Looks like we don’t have to move a finger in this round.”

Hearing such words, Jing Yu can’t help but tremble inside with exhilaration. In the last pro-League, Qin Fei’s Satan was banned throughout and never let out. Therefore, he never got the chance to see it in action. If Satan really fights, what will he be like?

The moment they enter battle, the answer’s revealed – Qin Fei’s Satan can be summed up in one word: Barbaric!

Not giving a flipping shit about which demon he’s facing, he grinds them into dust with the ease of splitting a bamboo!**

(**Like splitting a bamboo 势如破竹: As if it’s nothing : Think chopping up a bamboo from the cross-section at the top)

Mad Bones? You may be a solo-laner, but before Satan, you’re nothing more than the Lil Bro!

Scarlet Fury? Just gank and slay!

Dark Cupid? Excuse me, were you here a sec ago? (Having been eyed for a split moment, Dark Cupid quivers slightly in the sky.)

With a demon as OP as Satan spearheading the tower-dive, Peacock Plume and Centaur get to stalk after him and hurl all their frenzied attacks. To them, this can’t get any better.

Trying to escape? Well, did you forget? We still have a jungler here!

Jing Yu’s Mandala Petals has been lying in ambush in the vicinity since early on. Seeing Satan trick the enemy Mage into missing an Ult, she flicks out a few flowery darts post haste and snipes the Mage with hair-prickling precision, finishing off all remaining blood.

Subsequently, this demon and her long skirt of purple scatter into countless petals. Each with a mind of their own, they whirl towards and engulf the enemy marksman, every petal a thin blade which carries a few drops of poison.

After offing the marksman, Mandala Petals coalesces back to human form over the marksman’s body. Snow white, long hair falling from the air in place, it brings out her coquettish and entrancing charm to the max.

It shouldn’t be left unsaid that Mandala Petals’ abilities are always a visual feast to the eyes.

25 minutes later, PG triumphs SOS for the 3rd time. This time, finishing off with the score of 29 : 4.

With each match growing shorter one after another, this time, Qin Fei pentakilled and obtained the score of 13 Kills: 2 Deaths: 14 Assists, successfully clinching MVP.

Jing Yu’s battle score is 5 Kills: 0 Deaths: 11 Assists. Although she’s not the MVP, compared to the last battle where SOS used Mandala Petals, this stark difference is like Heaven and Earth. It’s enough to make SOS question themselves.

“Coming again? Coming again?! I also want to pentakill!” Luo Yiming is already high. He wants nothing more than to go for 300 rounds with SOS, beating them till they lose all pride as a pro-gaming team.

And yet, this time, while he’s hyped for the next match, SOS isn’t willing anymore.

“The other side says they’re done for the day.” Fang Luofan smiles slightly, clearly in a good mood. “Start training by yourselves ba. I’ll organize the data. We’ll review this match tomorrow.”

Even if they won three matches in a row, it’s not like PG didn’t have any problems. Nevertheless, since they’ve won every match, this review session shouldn’t take up too much time.

“Still need to practice ah…” Luo Yiming looks at the time in the bottom right corner of his screen, his reluctance at max. “Would have dragged out the match if I’d known. 40 minutes per match might have been good?”

“In that case, we might not have won.” Ye Hong is well-aware of his latter half’s weak performance.

“The latter half still must be trained.” Qin Fei remarks, “But in a formal match, obviously, it’d be faster to finish off early.” Pausing, “Take a 10-minute break. After that, we’ll run solo.”

PG’s members individually make sounds of assent, not daring to object. So long as the Coach doesn’t say anything, Captain Qin Fei’s words too shall be treated like a royal decree.

Jing Yu is just zoning out when his shoulder is abruptly patted by someone. He snaps back to reality, turning to meet Qin Fei’s rather interested gaze.

“Daydreaming?” Qin Fei raises his brows.

Jing Yu “En”s, a little dumbstruck.

Qin Fei chuckles in spite of himself: “Come with me. I’ve got something to give you.” He rises to his feet.

Jing Yu intuitively follows suit, only to realize what he just said: “What are you giving me?”

“You’ll know in a while.” Qin Fei leaves the Training Room as he says this, heading up the staircase.

Luo Yiming keeps his eyes on their backs as they leave, patiently waiting for a safe distance before tentatively asking: “Do you guys think……”

Ye Hong: “Think so.”

Luo Yiming: “I haven’t said anything!”

Ye Hong blatantly ignores him: “Towards Goldfish, don’t you think Fei Ge is gentle to the point of absurdity?”

Han Leng nods. He also noticed it.

“I’ve never seen Fei Ge holler at Goldfish.” Thinking back, “In the match with ANE the day before yesterday, Goldfish didn’t outperform any of us. He even got PK’ed ridiculously a few times later in the second half. But when Fei Ge gave him the assessment, it was quiet to the point of spookiness.”

“Woah, Fei Ge can’t possibly… Towards Goldfish…” Luo Yiming hastily claps a hand over his mouth. He whispers conspiratorially, “Goldfish still doesn’t know Fei Ge’s gay, right? Shouldn’t we go tell him?”

Ye Hong looks at him: “Go ba.”

Han Leng also looks at him: “Go ba.”

Luo Yiming retreats: “……Let’s just leave it. Fei Ge will tell him himself.”

Qin Fei brings Jing Yu directly to his room.

Jing Yu falters at the door. Seeing as if Qin Fei doesn’t mean to make him stand at the door, he can only summon the courage to follow him in, appraising the room sneakily.

Qin Fei’s room is not very messy, but it also can’t be considered a clean and tidy room.

His sheets are not folded, simply left as a pile on the bed. The books on the desk are also left somewhat haphazardly, but at least, they’re stacked up together.

Qin Fei makes a beeline to the desk. He picks up the hardback laid at the top of the stack, and he turns around to pass it to Jing Yu.

With a brief moment of hesitation, Jing Yu accepts it with both hands.

It is a 《Demon Lord》doujinshi.

“Good game today. This is my reward for you.” Qin Fei’s tone is totally easy-going, as if saying – GG. Here, a candy for your efforts.

“Err, I’m already a member of PG. It’s only natural to do my best to win with the team.”

Jing Yu feels there’s something iffy somewhere here. Even if he played well, it shouldn’t be the Captain that’s rewarding him ba?

And yet, while the heart thinks this way, his hands are actually gripping on to the doujinshi tightly, as if deeply afraid it might grow wings and fly away.

Qin Fei looks at those somewhat pale fingers tightening over the doujinshi. He lifts his brows, intrigued: “So, you don’t want it?”

“I do!”

As expected, Jing Yu speaks up at once, raising his voice: “Thank you, Fei Ge! I will continue to do my best!”

Qin Fei initially wants to say, the doujin isn’t the point, the main point is his autograph on this doujin’s title page.

But seeing Jing Yu’s expression, looking as though he wants nothing more than to hug the doujinshi into his chest and become one with it….. Qin Fei can only withhold his explanation, letting out a light laugh which carries some powerlessness.

Jing Yu: “?”

Qin Fei: “Keep the doujin with you. Keep up the good work.”

Jing Yu: “En, en!”

Looking at Jing Yu’s excited face, Qin Fei has no doubt – If this little thing has a tail, it would surely be madly wagging……
