Tamago: Opening another batch of +5 extra chapters today in commemoration of Mara’s new kitty cats~ They’ve taken over this site. One litter was born the very day Cour II begun, and today morn, I woke up to another. I’m utterly at their mercy.

There’s not much I can do atm for Covid-19 besides releasing little chapters like these. But hopefully, I do spread a little bit of joy during these harrowing times and our efforts do make a difference :’) Stay safe, everyone, and happy reading~!

The Demonic Dragon in《Demon Lord》is generally refreshed at the 10 minutes mark of every match. However, there is also an exceptional case:

If a team is able to pentakill within the first 10 minutes, the Demonic Dragon will refresh within 1 minute of that event.

Nevertheless, due to the sheer difficulty of opening a Team Battle in the first 10 minutes which can involve every member of a team, almost nobody is able to pentakill within that time limit.

Therefore, this setting in which the Demonic Dragon refreshes early is left to fade into the background and forgotten by most.

That is, at least – Until the start of PG and Te.3’s match.

【We can see that in this match, PG and Te.3’s opening portions are both fairly stable.】Shortly after the match begins, Halfling at last reigns in his inner fanboy and seriously considers the match. 【Right now, we are 5 minutes into the game. Neither side has gotten half a head.】

【Indeed.】Candy nods in agreement.【At the 3-minute mark, Frozen Heart briefly dropped by the Bottom Lane to harass the enemy, but he also left briskly. I suppose he didn’t want to let Te.3’s marksman to progress too easily.】

【I don’t think this is like PG’s usual style.】Halfling declares abruptly, 【If we’re talking about PG, everyone knows how they play – that is, dogfights and tower-dives!】

【Hahaha, that’s right! PG is always ruthless when they battle ne!】Candy can’t help the grin tugging on her lips.【In fact, I’ve been wanting to say it since the last PGL: PG is definitely the fiercest team I’ve ever seen. There’s simply no rival for the title!】

【That’s why, for the opening game to be so stable, it makes me feel something’s off, on the contrary – It’s like a calm before a storm.】

As if to prove Halfling’s point, in the 6th minute, PG moves.

Rather than saying PG moves, it’d be better to say Frozen Heart moves into action – Jing Yu directs his lifeline to float down to the Bottom Lane, quietly crouching within a nearby bush.

Almost at the same time where he positions himself, while tucked safely under Merman’s protection, Luo Yiming’s Centaur lunges forward and catches up to the enemy Dark Cupid, opening an onslaught of frenzied attacks!

Then, Frozen Heart easily emits a cold flash of light, linking up to Burial Sword.

Linking up to – Burial Sword?!

Having been squatting in the bushes for a while, Burial Sword, who has been quietly waiting for an opportunity to gank Centaur, had Teleported out. His body’s linked up to by a cold trail of light. Before he even gets the slightest chance to react, Frozen Heart is already right in his face and Ulting to freeze him to the ground. From there, he can only watch powerlessly as a series of well-practiced combo attacks loom over his face and smash down on him!

System: 【Frozen Heart, First Kill!】

System: 【The enemy Burial Sword has been slain!】

Burial Sword: ? ? ?

Burial Sword: Who am I? Where am I? What happened?

One also can’t blame Burial Sword for performing so badly. Afterall, he doesn’t have the enemy’s vision and couldn’t see Frozen Heart. Therefore, he totally didn’t expect Frozen Heart to charge out and render him helpless to slaughter.

Be that as it may, Frozen Heart also doesn’t have Burial Sword’s vision.

【My God! This awareness! This foresight!】Candy cries out one after another. 【If I didn’t see it wrong, Frozen Heart and Burial Sword forked out Teleport at almost the same time! Then, when Burial Sword left the bushes, Frozen Heart instantly linked up to him! How is this possible? How exactly did he accomplish this feat?!】

【I’ve already said it. Goldfish’s jungling awareness and foresight are all outstanding! Though he also doesn’t have the opponent’s vision, he is always able to grasp the enemy jungler’s movements accurately. However, what I’m more concerned about is…】

Halfling has yet to finish his words when he sees Frozen Heart unhesitatingly forking out his newly refreshed Teleport to link up to Dark Cupid. While closing the distance, he swipes out Frozen Blade and pierces right through the enemy!

System:【Frozen Heart, Double Kill!】

System:【The enemy Dark Cupid has been slain!】

Halfling: 【What makes me more concerned is Goldfish’s target. He can’t possibly have intended right from the start to……】

Merman spits his Bubbles to CC the escaping Mad Bones. Centaur immediately seizes the timing to send a torrent of arrows after him! Even if it’s Mad Bones who has a high defence, he also can’t withstand this highly concentrated rain of attacks. His blood count slips towards 0 at a dangerous pace. Just as he is left with one skin of blood, Frozen Heart uses a Teleport to catch up to him!

System: 【Frozen Heart, Triple Kill!】

System: 【The enemy Mad Bones has been slain!】

Halfling: 【……target Burial Sword. Err?】

Halfling is caught between tears and laughter – His commentary already can’t catch up with PG’s terrifying pace anymore.

After Jing Yu’s Frozen Heart accomplishes Triple Kills, he’s left with a third of his blood. Instead of going to jungle, he directly floats towards the Mid Lane.

Almost at the same time, Te.3’s mid-laner finally manages to shake off Spirit Ward. She barrels in the direction of the Bottom Lane, her intentions can’t be any clearer – She wants to finish off the low health Frozen Heart!

And yet, do you really think Frozen Heart’s blood is something you can finish off just because you want to?

The two demons inevitably run into each other on the same narrow path. Peacock Plume spares no words and directly Ults! Frozen Heart spares no words too and directly Flashes away!

Peacock Plume Flashes to keep up. She releases her Slo-mo ability, but Frozen Heart uses another Flash to spectacularly evade!

Peacock Plume’s last attempt is to unleash her 1st ability! In response, Frozen Heart neither dodges nor charges. Snow Allure links up to her, he directly closes the distance, and he Ults!

The crazed snow tornado traps the colourful Peacock Plume at the eye of its storm. She’s frozen entirely into a sparkling, transparent icicle. Immediately after, Frozen Blade’s sharp edge closes in without a single shred of mercy. The mage’s tiny frame bears this attack. Her blood’s depleted instantly by a huge half. She’s left with only a thin skin of blood! And then, Frozen Heart uses an AA that’s more average than average to finish her off.

System:【Frozen Heart, Quadrakill!】

System: 【The enemy Peacock Plume has been slain!】

“Teleporting to send his head?” Jing Yu says whilst staring at the special effects of a Teleport before him, smiling gently, “Here comes another.”

–Te.3’s solo-laner couldn’t bear to watch on. He gave up on matching pace with Qin Fei, directly using his Teleport ability to transport himself before Frozen Heart.

He just doesn’t believe that an OP solo-laner like his can’t take care of Frozen Heart’s last skin of blood!

Following a Team Battle, putting all effort into clearing the enemy’s remaining blood to pull back losses is extremely commonplace. Who would have thought, though, that the full HP Peacock Plume would have been counter-killed by the low HP Frozen Heart?

Not only did she fail her rescue, she even gifted him a head. Who the hell can bear such grievance?

With all that said, upon seeing the special effects appearing before himself, Frozen Heart neither hides nor dodges. He only takes a couple of steps towards a neighbouring forest monster.

In the next second, the special effect dissipates. Wielding a black scythe in hand and covered top to bottom by his black cloak, Death God lunges at Frozen Heart as though he’s lost his mind!

Unexpectedly, right as he just prepared to Ult……

Inextricable Silk! Thousand Returns! – Spirit Ward appears out of the blue, using one ability after the other, CC-ing Death God till he’s unable to struggle!

“Ayeyeye, you shouldn’t overlook me just because I don’t have AD~” Ye Hong, who has successfully managed a sneak attack, smiles, smug to the point of being obscene.

What about Jing Yu? Right before Ye Hong CC’ed Death God, he has already unleashed a series of airtight attacks!

By the time the CC loses effect, Death God has already lost a quarter of his blood. However, facing a Frozen Heart whose Ult has yet to cool down, he still has an immense advantage.

However, right as he has Ult……

Doll Switching Art!

–This is Spirit Ward’s Ultimate. It is able to rebound whatever damage the enemy makes without letting a single point slip. Death God’s three-quarters blood’s instantaneously reduced to one-third.

Fuck! What an utter waste of blood!

Nevertheless, despite both parties being left with only a third of their blood, compared to Frozen Heart, Death God’s still better off.

At this particular moment, Spirit Ward’s abilities are all on the cooldown, and Frozen Heart’s Ult still hasn’t cooled down either. So long a Death God releases a single ability, he can easily take down Frozen Heart’s head!

There’s no time to hesitate. Death God forks out his ability Death Scythe, swerving 360 degrees to seal off all exits!

HAHAHAHAHA! This time, there’s no way you can escape ba?!

Jing Yu doesn’t even blink, letting Frozen Heart Smite dead a single neighbouring monster and immediately replenishing his blood to over two-thirds. Then, forcibly tanking Death God’s ability, he uses Snow Allure to link up to Death God, Teleporting over and at the same time pulling out his 1st ability which has just cooled down. The piercingly sharp Frozen Blade makes a frightening critical hit. Topping that off with an AA, he successfully takes down Death God!

System: 【Frozen Heart, Pentakill!】

System: 【The enemy Burial Sword has been slain!】

System: 【The Demonic Dragon shall be refreshed in a minute!】

At this point, the match has gone on for just 8 minutes.

Frozen Heart’s HP bar is empty at a glance. Only the number on the HP bar indicates: 3.

3 drops of blood. He defeated Death God’s one-third blood with just 3 drops of blood – This is a completely immaculate counter-kill!

This is way too unbelievable!

2 minutes. 5 heads. In the end, left with only 3 drops of blood – Frozen Heart’s performance in this match can no longer just be described with phrases like “smooth” and “talented”. He has totally created a miracle!

Halfling stares after Frozen Heart’s back as he turns to retreat. In a daze, he stares for half a day up till the staff signals him. Only then does he come back to himself, finding his own voice:【The mainland server’s Top Frozen Heart…… Goldfish, he’s definitely the Top Frozen Heart of the mainland server!】

–He can only say this. At this moment, all he’s left with in the sea of his thoughts is simply this line.

Even if he’s replayed that exhilarating pentakill twice, he still won’t be able to say any other thing

1 minute later, Te.3’s members revive. The Demonic Dragon refreshes.

The five members of PG have already been waiting right beside the Demonic Dragon. The moment it shows up, they gang up on it as one, attacking madly!

When Te.3 hastily catches up, the Demonic Dragon’s still left with a third of its blood. They still have a chance!

And yet. This chance, too, is sent to an early grave by Spirit Ward’s “Inextricable Silk” and “Thousand Returns”.

–They’ve never realized how loathsome Spirit Ward can be!

System: 【Centaur has conquered the Demonic Dragon!】

To nobody’s surprise, PG takes down the Demonic Dragon at the 12-minute mark.

Then, at the 14-minute mark, Te.3’s turrets in the Top, Middle, and Bottom Lane are all cleanly toppled by PG.

At the 15-minute mark, Te.3’s second tower in the Mid Lane is toppled.

At the 16-minute mark, PG forces a Team Battle on them and tower-dives. In a 0 for 5, they ace Te.3

At the 17-minute mark, Te.3’s territory is smashed to smithereens.

17 minutes!

This is a pro-match, and it took just 17 minutes! In an overwhelming 10:0,  the victor is clear.

Seated before their PC’s, every person who was waiting to see the Dragon snatched is dumbstruck.

This……

This…………

This Dragon…… Why don’t we give up on snatching ba?

Now, which brave warrior will step forward to put Frozen Heart and Spirit Ward, these two bugs, on the ban list?
