“Fuck fuck fuck fuck! Goldfish, you’re too awesome! Way too awesome! FUCK! How the heck are you so awesome?!”

The match has just ended, but Han Leng can’t resist clamouring.

He tears down his headphones in one move, getting out of his gaming chair to charge up to Jing Yu’s back. Then, he grabs him and shakes him by the shoulders!

If it’s possible, he really wants to throw Jing Yu up into the skies alongside everyone, never mind that that will only result in Jing Yu “BANG!”-ing into the ceiling.

Jing Yu is shaken to the point of dizziness. The headphones slide down his head, obscuring his vision.

Incapable of freeing himself, he pulls down his headset somewhat helplessly and sets it on the table. Before he gets the chance to say a word, his neck’s suddenly captured by someone from behind!

“JING YU, YOU’RE TOO COOL! AAAAAAAHH!” Luo Yiming shrieks as he hangs from his neck, dangling from the back of Jing Yu’s chair as he slides down, glomping both the chair and its owner tightly. “17 minutes! 17 minutes, what the hell’s up with that?! You’re PG’s true C position aaaaaah!”

Ye Hong initially still wants to say, his Spirit Ward did pretty well in this round ba?

However, seeing Han Leng and Luo Yiming ecstatic to the point of incoherency, he restrains his words and does not say a thing. In the end, with just a soft “heh”, he smiles indulgently.

Qin Fei gives Luo Yiming an adequate amount of time to go insane.

Yet, after some time, seeing as if Luo Yiming doesn’t have the slightest intent to stop, he finally reaches the limit of his tolerance and raises his hands. Luo Yiming’s grubby paws are violently slapped away from Jing Yu’s frame:

“Still dragging?! Keep this up, and you’re going to rip Jing Yu’s clothes to shreds!”

“I don’t care! Goldfish is mine!” Luo Yiming’s hands were just slapped away, but he plastered them back. “What treasure of a jungler is this, my god?! Pentakilling in 2 minutes, squashing the enemy throughout 17 minutes! 17 minutes ah! Goldfish, are you still human?!”

Jing Yu itches because of Luo Yiming’s groping. Uncontrollably, he bursts out in laughter and begins to struggle.

Upon spotting that smile on his face, Qin Fei can’t help but be momentarily distracted. When he finally comes back to himself, he violently pushes himself to his feet and storms over to Luo Yiming, hauling him by the back of his shirt towards the door!

“Huan? Huanhuanhuanhuanhuan?! I was wrong, Fei Ge! I know I’m wrong!”

Just like that, Luo Yiming and his mournful yowls trail away from the others’ line of sight.

Jing Yu is caught between tears and laughter – Fei Ge, he really knows how to pamper his fans……

Seeing Luo Yiming’s wretched state, Han Leng instantaneously turns into a fine, law-abiding citizen and sneaks back into his chair. After a while, he leans his head towards Ye Hong’s to whisper: “Yiming isn’t dead ba?”

Ye Hong shrugs, snickering: “It’s hard to say.”

–To dare say “Goldfish is mine!” to Fei Ge’s face! ……He can only say, Luo Yiming’s death is entirely well-deserved.

Qin Fei naturally doesn’t do anything to Luo Yiming. He only hauls him to the living room and lets his face have an intimate encounter with the sofa.

En, this is all he’s doing……

Luo Yiming: “Wuwu! Wuwuwu!” ( Translation: Fei Ge! I was wrong!)

Qin Fei presses down on the back of Luo Yiming’s head, not budging in the least: “Where were you wrong?”

Luo Yiming: “Wuwuwuwuwuwuwuwu! Wuwuwu!” ( Translation: I was wrong about everything! Spare me, please!)

Qin Fei scoffs with a “heh” and lets him go: “ time, don’t you dare lay a hand on Jing Yu! If you scare him away, who will jungle? You?”

Luo Yiming flips around, sprawling on the sofa and glaring:  “If you dare let me jungle, then I’ll dare do it! Tch. Isn’t it just jungling? Just you wait and see! Laozi will send a head every fraction of a minute!”

Qin Fei smiles tersely: “What improvement. Sending a head right off the bat?”

Luo Yiming: “If you’re unhappy, then just say it! My jungling scares even myself! You dare to let me do it? Youdare-youdare-youdare?”

Qin Fei rolls his eyes: “Enough. Shut it, you veggie!”

Within the Training Room, knowing that Qin Fei wouldn’t kill Luo Yiming for real, Ye Hong is completely at peace.

Seeing Jing Yu studiously examine the post-battle scores, he can’t help but prop up his head with a hand, chuckling playfully. After a while, he tentatively speaks up: “Little Goldfish, are you having fun in the pro’s league so far?”

Jing Yu doesn’t even think about it: “I am!”

“Is it pentakilling that’s the more fun, or is it playing with Fei Ge that’s better?”

“Both are equally fun!”

“Oh. What do you think about Fei Ge in that case?”

This time, Jing Yu is finally more reserved, thinking it through carefully. Yet, his answer is still only three words: “He’s quite good.”

Ye Hong still wants to question him but a sound comes from the door – Qin Fei is back.

Ye Hong shuts up, acting as though nothing has ever happened.

“I’m going to the toilet!” Han Leng slams up from the gaming chair and barrels out the room.

Qin Fei is just about to sneer at his cowardly, chickening behaviour when Jing Yu abruptly says: “I also need to go.” Saying this, he briskly follows after Han Leng.

Qin Fei pauses. He quietly stares after his back and turns his gaze back on his own screen.

He still hasn’t gotten the chance to get a good look at the post-battle score when Ye Hong’s words drift over with a tone just begging for a good smack: “Wei, you didn’t really fall for Goldfish ba?”

“It’s hard to say.” Qin Fei doesn’t intend to cover up anything. It’s just, he’s also not sure of his own feelings towards Jing Yu. “To be able to play assassin class demons to this extent, he’s grown stronger as of late.”

“Uh-huh. What else?” Ye Hong decides to flirt with the lines of death for the sake of satisfying his gossip-mongering heart.

“His jungling awareness is quite good. He also has good judgement skills.” Qin Fei begins to point out Jing Yu’s strengths. “He also looks good.”

Ye Hong: “……I’m asking about your feelings for Goldfish, not asking you to give me a grocery list of his strengths.”

“Tch—” Qin Fei gives Ye Hong a disdainful expression. “These are all the reasons why I like him. Is that so hard to understand?” Pausing here, “I’ll never say you play well.”

“Fuck!” Ye Hong can’t let that remark slip by, “How is my playing subpar?”

“You fool around lots!”

“Don’t you do it more?!”

“Mine’s called being savage!”

“Yours’ called being a brute!”

“You can’t even differentiate between savage and brutes, you’re such a vegetable!”

“My Chinese was taught by my PE teacher! I’m damn proud of it!”

……

Han Leng sees this squabbling immediately after he returns. He can’t resist flaming: “A bunch of veggie chickens pecking at each other**. They’re no different from each other.”

(**Bunch of veggie chickens pecking at each other 菜鸡互啄: a bunch of amateurs are squabbling each other like angry chickens)

Ye Hong immediately turns to look at him, smiling serenely: “Han ah, come. Let’s have a good talk.”

Han Leng turns about-face, fleeing at once: “I’m going to the toilet!”

Ye Hong: “Didn’t you just fucking come out of there?!”

The second match of the day in the Preliminaries begins at noon.

Seeing how PG’s last few matches were all too easy, Fang Luofan can’t help reminding before the match: “Don’t forget the things I’ve said. Give it your all in every match. You hear that?!”

The members of PG individually make sounds of affirmation, but they can’t refrain from grumbling in their hearts – When did they ever stop giving their all? If they’re still capable of half-assing and retrieving results as scary as before, how can anyone bear to live with themselves?

Fang Luofan: “Don’t do stupid things like banning your own lifeline! Unless it’s the last resort, stay away from unpopular demons! Always keep the line-up in mind!”

“Yes, we will!” Ye Hong shrinks back in terror – Coach’s latter words really do feel like they’re targeted at him.

On the other side of the spectrum, the clearly jibbed Luo Yiming ridicules with a booming chortle: “HAHAHA! You hear that, Goldfish?! Stay away from unpopular demons unless it’s the last resort!”

Fang Luofan smiles tersely. Ye Hong facepalms himself – Sometimes, he really envies Luo Yiming’s obtuseness.

After the match begins, Fang Luofan leaves the Training Room to watch the live-stream in the Conference Room.

The moment he opens the live-stream – Of course, it’s the match-off between PG and Grey.

Being a Top 8 from the last PGL, PG’s recent performance surpassed the expectations of the netizens time and time again. So long as it’s someone who’s paying attention to the LDPL, they’re bound to keep an eye on PG’s matches.

Therefore, PG’s likelihood of being live streamed has shot up significantly. Even if their slot clashes with ANE and SOS’s timings, the officials will still choose to give a live commentary on PG’s match.

Halfling: 【Good afternoon, everyone! I am Halfling!】

Candy: 【And I am Candy!】

Halfling: 【Today is another good day to call** for Goldfish!】

(**call (打call): How fans usually scream to cheer their idols on at a concert, sometimes with boards and signs. ; ie. Basically, fanboy (v) and cheer)

Candy: 【Hahaha! I think everybody in this world knows you’re a fanboy of Goldfish la! However, Goldfish’s performance in the earlier match this afternoon truly was remarkable. Therefore, at this point, I’d like to share a wonderful piece of news with all of Goldfish’s fans on the behalf of the game authorities. Naturally, this’ll also come as good news to those who love Frozen Heart! That is— Starting today, every evening at 6, there’ll be several edited clips of LDPL’s Preliminaries released on various platforms by the game authorities. Amongst them, there’s also the best of Goldfish’s pentakill orh!】

Halfling: 【Let me make another call for Goldfish! GOLDFISH! GOLDFISH!】

Candy: 【Haha, Halfling, that’s enough from you!】

【Alright! Let us watch the match now.】Halfling switches from fanboy to commentator mode within a second.【In this round, PG’s opponent is Grey. If we’re talking about Grey, I’m not sure if the audience from last PGL are aware, but this is a team that fought their way to the Qualifiers in the last pro’s league.】

【That’s right. Although they unfortunately lost to ANE in the end and failed to enter the final tournament, compared to PG’s previous opponents, this team is still quite capable.】After saying this, Candy realizes that isn’t a very tactful phrasing and lightly coughs. 【Erm. I don’t mean PG’s previous opponents are weak. It’s just, in comparison, Grey’s battle results in the last round give us a better understanding of this team. In any case, I’m really looking forward to this round. When faced with the bamboo-splitting PG, how well will they perform ne?】

Even if Candy did her best to conceal it, it’s still obvious to the audiences watching the livestream – She thinks Grey doesn’t stand a chance against PG.

Nevertheless, this is in line with most people’s thoughts.

Therefore, their point of focus totally isn’t whether or not Grey can defeat PG, but instead, it’s on how PG will crush Grey. Additionally…… In this round, will the Dragon be snatched?

【We can see here that the leading advantage goes to Grey.】Halfling looks at the ban position with the blinking timer, silently awaiting Grey to make their decision.

【Grey has yet to make a decision.】Candy points out when the countdown strikes 5s. She furrows her brows.【Their time is running out……】

No sooner had those words fallen, a snow-white silhouette appears on the ban slot. Its owner simultaneously flashes in the centre of the screen.

Long tresses not unlike snow sway gently with a breeze. The whole character is gracefully and wilfully enveloped in a misty cold air. Crystalline snowflakes gently float down around him.

【It’s Frozen Heart!】

The battle has yet to begin, but Halfling’s voice is already cracking at the first ban:【GREY BANS GOLDFISH’S FROZEN HEART!】
