The first day of the Elimination Round thus comes to an end. Those moving on to the next round of matches within the Elimination Round are: PG, PH, ANE, and SOS.

Besides PH, all the others are the Top 8. Even for PH, there are two amongst their team of five who’d fought alongside the Top 8, PG, before.

After a whole day of live commentating, Fang Luofan finally heads back to the hotel and is able to rest. As he sips on some water on the sofa, he can’t help sighing: “As expected, it’s still these teams which make it through to the next round.”

Jing Yu followed Qin Fei back to the hotel much earlier, so he hasn’t a clue as to the other six teams’ situation. Upon hearing his words, he turns uncontrollably to Ye Hong who’s by his side: “Ye Ge, who is our opponent the next round?”

“PH.” Ye Hong answers.

“Erm. Is that the team with PG’s former teammates…?” Jing Yu knows his wording’s not exactly correctly, but it all means the same thing anyways, “Are they a strong team?”

Ye Hong hasn’t even started but he’s beat to the chase by Luo Yiming: “It’s a team formed by players so veggie they got chased off by Qin Fei. How strong do you think they can be?”

Jing Yu: “Uhh……”

It’s not just Luo Yiming. Even Han Leng goes on to say: “Their playing style’s quite similar to ours. But if you ask me, ours is what they call ferocity, but theirs is plain recklessness – They’re totally brainless when they’re fighting. If not for their control, I really don’t know how they got into the Elimination Round.”

Jing Yu: “En……”

As if Jing Yu would confess that after hearing Han Leng’s evaluation, Luo Yiming’s the first one to pop up in his head – Brainless plays ✔️ passable control ✔️ All checked!

Ye Hong’s caught between tears and laughter and he can’t help shooting: “Huan. I say, must the two of you really be so obviously ibased? I know you’re not happy bout PH’s style and team name, but you don’t need to badmouth them to this extent ba?”

Han Leng: “Then what do you think?”

Ye Hong coughs lightly, sharing his thoughts on the subject seriously:

“The Solo-Laner can be summed up with one word – Rash. If he’s got gold on his side, he can still suppress the enemy, but if he doesn’t, he only knows how to send himself for culling. He’s definitely no match for Fei Ge. The Jungler Xiao Wai still got some strategies up his sleeve, but because his jungling awareness’ too weak, our family’s Goldfish can squash him to death. As for the others, I haven’t seen enough to judge, but based off their performance today, they’re not particularly outstanding. They may even lag behind MOMO, in fact.”

“Tch—” Qin Fei can’t bear to listen on, “Why waste your breath on them? They’re just a bunch of veggies.”

Jing Yu: =_=

Alright. He gets the message loud and clear. PG clearly doesn’t think much of tomorrow’s opponent at all.

If everything is as they say, it feels like tomorrow’s going to be a one-sided squashing match?

But before all else, let’s listen to what the Coach has to say first ba.

Jing Yu turns his gaze upon Fang Luofan in anticipation, thinking he’d say something different like, “PH’s who-and-who can’t be underestimated”, or “You’ve got to give it your all in every round”, or things like that.

Unexpectedly, after taking yet another sip of water, Fang Luofan brushes over it: “PH shouldn’t pose much of an opponent so long as you guys don’t fool around. There’s still some time, so let’s review this afternoon’s match with DJss.”5

Even the Coach is……

This time, Jing Yu completely caves and subscribes to the the belief – PH’s truly a whole nother dimension of weak.***

Hmm. It’s such a pity the new demons will be released after the Elimination Round. Otherwise, he’d have been able to play around with them in tomorrow’s match.

While he’s still zoning out, Fang Luofan has already launched into a review of PG’s various performances in today’s three rounds: “All in all, you still did okay. Today’s performance was quite average. You lost the first round because no one expected the foe to use Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. Ye Zi, you weren’t crushed after the first round – that’s already well-deserving of a praise. Keep it up from now on.”

Pausing here, “However, I’ve still got to point out a couple of problems – Even if you’re using scarlet fury to faceoff Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, you shouldn’t be pushed back to such a degree. Look here……”

Fang Luofan points at the competition recording on his laptop and seriously explains. Ye Hong sits by his side and puts on the image of a diligently-listening student, yet his eyelids are already fighting to close.

Perhaps he felt the fatigue of everyone in PG. Fang Luofan picks up pace as he talks, becoming briefer with every line. He seems to fleet past the 2nd and 3rd round in one line. In the end, he even tosses in: “The tournament video’s available everywhere. If you’ve got any other questions, search it up yourself online.”

With that, he shoves the members of PG all out of his room.

Jing Yu only realizes it after he gets back to his room – Perhaps this was not because Fang Luofan picked up on their exhaustion, but because he himself is dead beat.

After all, he did commentate some ten rounds consecutively all in on eday.

After taking a bath and drying his hair, Jing Yu flops onto his bed.

Before he slips off into his dreams, Jing Yu picks up his phone out of habit and logs into Weibo to check on the comments section under his own Weibo account. Upon seeing someone leave a 【Goldfish’s voice is so distinctive!】only then does he come to the startled realization – Huan, that’s right! There’s the match’s voice recording!

The matches for the day have already wrapped up, and each and every match’s video and voice recording have already been released by the game officials on various channels.

Jing Yu clicks directly into the LD game officials’ Weibo where he easily locates the link to the matches’ voice recording. A bit apprehensive, he clicks on it.

It goes without saying that he doesn’t want to hear his own team’s match recording again! Rather than saying that, it’d be more apt to say he doesn’t want to listen to his own playful voice sassing at all – It’s too humiliating!

He’s just a bit curious as to how the netizens would react after hearing the recording.

As it turns out, it’s not that different from what he predicted:

【HAHAHAHAHA! XD PG, are they all out of their minds?!】

【Gosh I’m laughing my head off!】

【Ye Zi: I can’t let myself be entranced by my lifeline! ……Aiya, she’s such a beauty.】

【Did the Marksman truly mean to die with the Support?】

【HAHAHA! PG’s potential to be a comedian sure is high !】

【They clearly could have gone on to become comedians, but they just chose to join the competition!】

【Speaking of which, did Ye Zi just set a flag?】

【Ye Zi: I’ve gotten Nine-Tailed Demon Fox in my hands! Now, I won’t let even one head slip out of my grasp! ……Aiya, my kill.】

【HAHAHAHAHA! Ye Zi’s too hilarious! Don’t be too happy slapping yourself in the face!】

The more he sees, the more he can’t help but crack a chuckle. However, soon enough, he reaches some comments that’re not so good:

【Emmm…… I feel like PG aren’t taking this seriously at all.】

【Is PG actually fighting seriously? Especially Ye Zi and ONE. They seem to take everything too lightly!】

【After listening to DJss’ recording, I think PG shouldn’t have won at all.】

Jing Yu frowns. Just when he’s debating whether to explain, he gets to the other netizens’ replies down below:

【In e-sports, being a veggie’s the greatest sin! So what if PG’s strong? If you’re unhappy, why don’t you go bite them!】

【Even if PG aren’t playing for serious, anyone with eyes can see their capabilities ba? DJss’ loss isn’t unfair at all!】

【It’s not the strong who’re the winners, but the winners who’re strong – PG’s stronger than DJss! This is exactly a case of that!】

Upon seeing this comment, Jing Yu lets out an inward sigh of relief.

That’s right. PG is strong. These teammates of his, they’re all very strong!

With his curiosity slightly roused, Jing Yu heads over to listen to DJss’ voice recording. As expected, in all 3 rounds of the match, there’s only Ai Min’s voice throughout. His voice’s cool and collected, casting orders that’re only clear-cut. It’s easy to hear how strong both his battle awareness and decision-making abilities are.

Such talent. Fast APM. Good operations. And to add it all off, his performance’s stable throughout the battle; even when he’s crushed in-game, his focus and patience never once wavered. It shouldn’t be left unsaid. Ai Min’s an extremely formidable player, and he’s only 17 now!

With him as the core, if they’re truly able to form a team that lives up to the name of PG’s second team, one merely has to think a bit to know, they’re really going to be a strong team!1

It’s really such a blessing that Ye Hong has such a fan.

Whilst thinking about this, Jing Yu has totally forgotten that he himself is someone who’d chased after Qin Fei and followed him into PG.

The truth is, this is the same regardless of the field. A bunch of people inspires and attracts a new batch of people into the field. This is how fresh blood keeps flowing into the system.

The cycle is never-ending, breathing new life into the system.

On 1pm the next day, the 2nd round of the Elimination Round begins.

Since they’re one match away from the Finals, this 2nd round can also be considered the Semi-Finals.

On this very day, Qin Fei sleeps till 11 before he gets up for breakfast. This time, he who has gotten his fill of sleep and woken up by himself is not in the slightest least tired. As a matter of fact, he’s even feels spirited to the point where there’s nowhere to channel his energy to.

Therefore, he makes a truly admirable declaration – Let’s zero out** PH ba!

(**zero out (0封): make PH have zero scores, kills, everything.^)

(^Couldn’t find a gaming term for that, do comment to give a suggestion if you’ve got any, Mara QAQ)2

“Zero out?!” Jing Yu thought he misheard.

Zeroing out the opponent is not something PG hasn’t done before. But—This is the Semi-Finals!

Even if PH’s weak, they can’t possibly be weaker than those greenhorn teams down in the Preliminaries ba?!

Despite that, Qin Fei says in a deadly serious tone: “The enemies gave themselves such a name to annoy us. If we don’t zero them out, how can we make them see the world of difference between cheap copycats and the originals?”

Jing Yu’s just about to say something to wake him up, but before he can get a word in, he’s interrupted by Luo Yiming: “Well said! If we don’t zero them out, they won’t know their place!”

Ye Hong also says: “Who can they blame but themselves? Coining such a disgusting team name to repulse us!”

Han Leng: “I’m disgusted to the roots of my hair. If we don’t return them the slight, we’re gonna have to turn our team name around here on out!”

Turn it around? GP – Get Pied?**1

(**Gé pì (嗝屁) : Get Killed.)

Jing Yu: =_=

In the end, up till the start of the match, Jing Yu wasn’t able to dissuade the unfathomable creatures that’re his teammates at all.

Alright, alright. It’s not such a bad thing to have some fighting spirit too ba.

【It’s our pleasure to be able to commentate for you today!】Today’s live-commentator is Halfling.

And Candy: 【Today, we’ll be looking at the Semi-Finals. Amongst the four participating teams, there’re three who’ve gotten to the Top 8 before. Wow, it’s clear on sight that the matches today will be quite interesting~】

Halfling: 【The first match of the Semi-Finals is between PG and PH! Let’s not stall any further, we’ll now look at both parties’ chosen line-ups!】

Alas, the demons banned by both parties are:

PG: Death God, Black Serpent, Camael

PH: Lilith, Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, Dark Cupid.

And then, when they get to the Pick Session, the moment he sees what his family’s teammates are all picking on their own, Jing Yu chooses to lay flat on the ground.

Qin Fei – Burial Sword, the Top Jungler.

I won’t be tanking for you this time! You’re on your own! I want to get my kills!

Ye Hong – Spirit Ward, the CC-class mid-laner.

Even if I can’t strangle you to death, I still want to revolt you to death. C’mon~ Let’s pop open a bottle of champagne and share in an AD/AP party ah! Who’s the wimp here?!

Luo Yiming – True Arrow, Marksman with the fastest Speed.

I want to Pentakill! Nobody steals my kills!

Han Leng – Chronos……1

Oi, oi! Should a support like you really take a marksman demon?! Are you planning to lose yourself just because we’re heading into a one-sided squashing match?!

Jing Yu feels his head splitting apart just by looking at this line-up. In the end, he locks Moonshadow Spider – CC and gank all! How can anyone be wilder than her here?!
