Targeted by hunters
I arrived in Tokyo and Kazuya went home satisfied. Well, he's my mother's dependent. I'll take care of him. But still, it was a bit careless of him to take my blood in the confusion.... I should thank Leonardo.
Then suddenly my phone began ringing!
"Marc! Is Kazuya there?”
"No, I just left him."
“Go after him now! There's a hunter in his office!”
I dashed after Kazuya's scent.
"Kazuya!"
I found Kazuya standing there. And suddenly he collapsed. Crikey! People started buzzing around him. No wonder. Blood was spurting out from Kazuya's head.
"Somebody! Call an ambulance!”
I shouted to the crowd. This was the work of a hunter. The bullet was lodged firmly in the side of his head. It was also made of silver.
In the ambulance.
"I'm a doctor. Call my hospital", I said to the paramedic.
The paramedic heard this and called the hospital. The emergency doctor took over for me as I explained the situation.
On the way to the hospital,
"Kazuya. I'm sorry. I should have been more careful.”
I said to Kazuya apologetically, pretending to check his wounds and general condition.
"Bite me! My blood will surely help you recover quickly. Wait for me, and I'll get that bullet out of you.”
We arrived at the emergency medical center and he was transferred to the operating room.
Dr. Kamiya was giving instructions.
“Kamiya Sensei! He was hit by a stray bullet and has a bullet lodged in his right temporal region.”
“I understand. Leave the rest to me. We already have the operation room under control. Our brain surgeon is very good. He'll be fine.”
He has gathered all the staff around him.
“Dr. Marc had told me about his condition, so we have an operation room ready. We can start right away.”
Then the police arrived. Naturally, they interviewed me. I used my power and told them that Kazuya was injured by a stray bullet in the midst of a gang conflict. There were no other victims and that the culprit has turned himself in.
"No one else was hurt in the fight.” I implied.
Then Yuki arrived in a hurry.
“Is Kazuya-kun all right? I heard he was badly injured.”
“He’s having an operation right now.”
“if you’re worried, do you want to see it on the monitor?”
Operations are recorded nowadays. If the patient’s family wished to, the video could be given to them. Such is the era.
"No, that's okay. For my kind, we don't want to see an operation because the vampire blood in us will be running rampant."

We spent a while in the doctor's office in silence. Then the phone rang. It was Dr. Kamiya.
"The operation is over. Two bullets. There is a brain contusion, but he said there will be no aftereffects.”
As soon as I heard those words, I rushed to the ICU. Yuki stared off behind me, bewildered.
I called out to Kazuya, who was lying on the bed.
“Kazuya. I'd like to give you my blood, but you’ll be fasting tomorrow.”
Kazuya laughed. I guess the anesthesia was still in effect, because he fell asleep right after that.
