The lightning kept hitting the dark cloaked elder, but to Bloom he felt like he was throwing eggs instead. "Damn!" he cursed before he scanned everything he had.

"One minute, huh…" he suddenly paused before laughing, "just perfect!"

The next instant he turned around and ran while keeping his sword pointed towards the angry bishop.

"Stop it already, you are going to fall here by the decree of the shrine of light," the bishop shouted and Bloom didn't listen to any of his words.

Instead he jumped over the wagon to reach the other one using one dash skill. He then ran towards the front of the middle wagon and jumped to the first one.

"Let everything rumble," he evilly smiled before moving the sword suddenly to crush the third, the second, and finally the first wagon he was on top of.

"Darkness nihility," and just before the first wagon would be smashed to pieces, he jumped using his stealth skill and the next moment he used a potion to restore what he would lose from such fall.

"Damn you!" the bishop stopped in tracks, glancing over the three destroyed wagons while trembling out of rage. "I'll damn kill you!"

The next instant that bishop took out a scroll and instantly shuttered it into pieces. He just needed to either recite the words in or cut into half, not to totally smash it into nihility with such anger.

And the next instant Bloom felt a sudden gust of wind erupting around the bishop, while wisps of smoke started to appear out of nowhere.

"Crazy old man," Bloom gritted his teeth and he felt himself lucky to have taken one of his highest Hp potions before he stood up and started to run.

Yet he knew he would never overcome such a scroll effect just by running.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

The next instant fire waves erupted like pulsations from around the bishop. Bloom hurriedly looked for anywhere to escape but he couldn't.

"-5000" "-5000" "-5000" "-5000"

It just took one hit from the fire wave to make him lose all this Hp. "That's with a damage reduction of my skill… scary!" he sucked in a cold breath before he turned around to spot the angry NPC who was already on top of his head. "Got you!"

Bloom didn't try to be funny here, and the next moment he defended using his best defensive skill ever.

"Breaker piercer!"

The next instant the two swords clashed and Bloom rotated around while having the momentum of the skill.

"Die!" the bishop screamed, yet he was totally overwhelmed by the fact his body was the one being sent flying back; not Bloom.

And Bloom just followed him, under the effect of the skill, to fly in the air, finally descending on top of his head.

And the situation from before just strangely got suddenly reversed!

"That damn title of yours," the bishop managed to spot the source of the problem, "it's good I just have the counter of it, hehehe."

Just as Bloom landed on top of his head, the NPC was silenced the next instant. The NPC couldn't see Bloom, but from the long rows of damage on top of his head he deducted his place.

And Bloom just happened to realize this.

"Darkness shade festival!" he didn't hesitate to summon his clones, and just as they appeared, each got half of Hp depleted by one single hit from the scroll's fire.

"Use the darkness nihility skill now!" he shouted before jumping to the back, "spread out."

He even threw Hp potions to his clones to make them sustain this wrath of the scroll. He didn't know if the bishop would still have any other scrolls or not, but he had to move as fast as he could.

His clones did as he asked, and then the bishop had eighteen points moving fast where he couldn't tell who from which.

"Do you think such a low trick will work on me?" the moment the stun effect vanished, the bishop took out another scroll and smashed it to pieces. "Let's see how you can deal with these," and then he took another two out and brutally activated them.

"You crazy m*therfucker!" Bloom was shocked by this scene, and now he realized the answer to his doubt. "Did you rob the entire storehouse of your shrine before coming here or what?!!" he inwardly cursed while running as fast as he could.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

Yet the next moment three scroll merged with the dying one and caused massive waves that started to assault him.

The new fire formed by the combined scrolls was black in color. Each wave seemed to have an accompanying roar to make it look more ferocious. Just from the mere sight of it, Bloom knew if not for his stealth skill, he wouldn't be able to live after taking a single hit from this fire.

And the duration of the scrolls got elongated as well, to reach almost forty seconds. Like this the scrolls would last until his stealth skill vanished, or even a second later.

Each hit took around twenty thousand of his Hp, almost taking two thirds of his. Yet by the timely help of his potions, he barely managed to stay alive.

And with each hit, his body was smashed to the direction of the village with big momentum. He was running towards the road he came from, hoping he would find any detour or a rock or even a turn to hide from the wrath of these scrolls.

"Damn! I'm almost there," he gnashed his teeth when he noticed his clones were killed, popped up like corn fried on the fire, all seemed to be about to die without exception.

If they fell, he would be instantly exposed. The range of these scrolls was at least half mile radius, and that didn't help making him escape its devastation despite all that time he spent running and the boost he got from each strike.

"Like this…" he gritted his teeth to endure the pain he felt all over his body, "I won't survive the minute!"

He turned to glance at the bishop to see him having a big smile over his face. Bloom's clones were all killed, and now only Bloom's location was apparent to his enemy.

"Die!" the bishop came fast, while pointing his sword towards Bloom's chest. Bloom knew something was different about this NPC. "Damn! He has a counter title to my own!" and the last straw of hope for him shattered at this simple realization.

"No," he shook his head while enduring another hit, "I still have something I didn't use yet. Come forth!"

The next instant he took out tokens of his inventory and then he heard the sound of the game.

"System alert: Does the player want to summon the dark monster? Player needs to pay one thousand dark points to summon the monster."

"Is this the time for such a question? Damn!" he cursed with great rage from this injustice and bias the game system had towards that prosperity era. "Proceed, damn it!" he took another hit before he saw a gigantic monster in front of him.

The moment the monster appeared, it received a direct hit from the fire of the scrolls but he didn't retreat or seemed to be much affected like Bloom.

And then a second appeared, and a third, and all the monsters he managed to turn into pets from the last quest inside the lost mines from before were summoned all at this decisive moment.

"Go and kill this bastard!" Bloom shouted while he didn't stand for a single moment there. His aim was to survive the curse. "One minute, and only ten seconds of it remains… c'mon, stop him for me."

He turned around to spot the giant monsters dashing at once towards the NPC. Their sudden appearance seemed to startle the bishop, but he managed to evade the first dashes.

But with the rest of the monsters hitting him, he couldn't manage to dodge and started to defend.

Yet each hit sent him backwards, and made him finally suffer damage. This was the second time he would take damage since the beginning.

"Yeah, beat him up," Bloom just cheered from far while he counted seconds with great impatience.

"No, I won't let you run away!" the bishop suddenly went berserk, ignored all the monsters around and started running with great momentum.

The next thing Bloom saw was this mad NPC to appear all of sudden in front of him, blocking his path.

"Damn! These scrolls ruined everything!" Bloom cursed out loud.

"You should be proud," the bishop sternly said before he waved his sword to fall upon Bloom's head, "you managed to survive all these hits, but your luck runs out now."

Bloom couldn't refute these words, as he already used up his entire arsenal of skills and tricks. Now he had nothing at all to defend against this indomitable strike from this close, and the most frustrating thing was the fact only less than five seconds remained before he finally broke free from this curse.

"Boom!"
