Chapter 366: Heaven-Bestowed Chance at the Red Convention
Translator: Myriea_ActiasLuna Editor: Nou

After hearing about so much delicious food, the little miss didn't care anymore; they were going to this Red Convention for sure!

Fang Xing noticed the golden crow had been smirking this entire time and immediately knew this Red Convention wasn't as simple as it sounded so he quietly asked the golden crow for more details. Fang Xing was shocked to say the least once the golden crow had explained things, but he was rather moved and suddenly eager to go check it out.

This so-called Red Convention was simply a heaven for men! As it turned out, it was a gathering to help the Dragon King's daughter seek a husband and was one of the most lively and well-known gatherings for beasts and cultivators alike on this southern part of the sea. It only happened once a year which—crudely speaking—made it akin to the brothels that were also only open one day out of the year.

Dragons were very lecherous, and this had been even more the case during the ancient times. The dragon ancestor was incredibly promiscuous which resulted in nine children, each born to a different mother. Even now, the Qiuniu, Yazi, Chaofeng, Pulao, Suan'ni, Bixi, Bi'an, and Chiwen—which were half cow, wolf, goat, dog, lion, turtle, snake, and fish, respectively—were all branches of the Dragon tribe with dragon blood flowing through their veins, although they weren't considered purebloods.

When the Dragon tribe later became heavily influenced by the human tribe and began to take on the concepts of propriety, justice, integrity, and honor, they began studying techniques like the Icy-Heart technique to suppress the evil thoughts within their bodies and to keep their Dragon blood pure. As time passed, the Dragon tribe actually became a tribe that abstained from marriage with other races. Daughters of the Dragon tribe were even more unlikely to be married off to another race, as the tribe ruled high and mighty over millions of sea beasts within the Azure Seas, making them something of a superpower on par with the large sects of Videha.

As for the Dragon King's daughter who was living here in the Thousand-Stream Seas, she was a unique existence. She was the eldest daughter born to the palace master of the Dragon Palace in the Azure Seas, but due to her distaste towards studying the Icy-Heart techniques since childhood, her evil desires couldn't be suppressed and her lifestyle was rather similar to her ancestor. The number of love affairs she'd allegedly had with gifted scholars and sect geniuses was countless, and when the Dragon Palace master realized he couldn't control her anymore, he evicted her out of the Azure Seas and banished her here.

Such an action actually left the daughter of the Dragon King even more satisfied, and her promiscuity increased further. Not only did she seduce the disciples of the surrounding seas and islands, even the merchants at sea couldn't escape her grasp. She would usually send out mermaids to lure them in with songs, and while the ugly and weak would be swallowed up whole, the handsome and strong would be lured into her palace to have fun every single night before being swallowed up afterwards. This was just how she was.

A large-scale gathering was organized once a year to help her find a husband. This so-called gathering to find a husband involved first sending out invitations to the sects on the surrounding islands and seas, and even elders were invited if they were youthful and strong. Some of the most handsome talents in the land came to her Thousand-Stream Sea's Colored Glass Palace to recite poetry, form rhyming couplets, and discuss techniques and spells. Anyone she took a liking to would be allowed a night of pleasure, although the most important point was that the daughter of the Dragon King wouldn't eat anyone without a good reason on that day. After a night of pleasurable fun, everyone would be allowed to leave unharmed, and those who'd put on a particularly good performance would even be rewarded with rare treasures and jewels.

Such a gathering being held once a year was already the custom of the southern seas, but this year's Red Convention was a little different from the past. The three fairies of the northern mountains had also come along to the southern seas with their disciples, making the scale of this year's gathering increase even further. With the Dragon King's daughter and the three fairies of the northern mountains leading the festivities, the number of sea beasts and monsters increased to create a magnificent and unprecedented event.

"Eleventh Uncle told me to hold on to my virginity for the time being. Should I go?" Fang Xing viewed this Red Convention like a brothel and naturally had some uncertainties. It was their little miss who was completely moved and looked towards Fang Xing with a peculiar expression before winking at him.

Fang Xing immediately tried to put on the act of being decent and proper. "I'm not that kind of person," he coldly declared, "I'm not—"

"Let's just go and check it out!" the little miss instantly began to beg.

Only a single look was necessary for Fang Xing to tell this gluttonous monster was once again unable to fend off the lure of delicious food. He became even more certain he didn't want to go and continued, "I'm a battle cultivator. How can I immerse myself with women?"

Hearing this, the little miss muttered something to herself before she rolled her eyes and snickered. "Didn't I promise I'd help you gather all three flames of the True Samadhi Fire? This is the chance; this Red Convention is a good chance so you have to go!"

Upon hearing the words "gather all three flames", Fang Xing became interested but still looked to her with doubt. "You're not lying to me just so we can go to that place to satisfy your gluttony, right?"

The little miss showed a mysterious smile before leaning over and whispering something in Fang Xing's ear.

Fang Xing was shocked and stared at her in disbelief. "You're not joking with me, right? Do I really have to do that?"

The little miss nodded with a serious look. "This is the only method that can help you complete the True Samadhi Fire aside from going through the nine tribulations of this realm!"

"Doesn't this mean I'll have to make a great sacrifice?" Fang Xing bitterly replied.

"Strictly speaking, you're not really being disadvantaged!"

"It is exactly because I'm not going to be disadvantaged that my sacrifice will be huge!" Fang Xing replied in annoyance. He wanted to refuse, but he couldn't let go of this chance; he could only let out a long sigh and accept his fate..

Although the banished daughter of the Dragon King had formed the golden core three years ago and was considered a grand elder of an area, both Fang Xing and the golden crow had enough guts to cover the heavens; they wouldn't place much importance on someone who'd just formed her golden core. As for the lotus girl, she didn't even know how to spell the word "fear"—the only thing she cared about was that there were all kinds of food. The trip was thus instantly agreed upon and they prepared to check out this Red Convention.

The Red Convention was held at the Colored Glass Palace within the Thousand-Stream Seas. Colorful lanterns decorated the area within thousands of miles while small boats covered in flowers carried handsome and accomplished young men towards the palace itself. There were also some cultivators who flying over on their clouds who'd show great politeness by pausing in mid-air to first cup their hands and bow. There truly was a great sense of the demeanor of the immortals, but when everyone actually met each other, their smiles were rather peculiar. Everyone knew what was on the other person's mind, so they traded looks of "you're here for that reason as well".

Those who came for the Red Convention naturally wouldn't have any gentlemanly thoughts—most of them were here for the chance to have a taste of the daughter of the Dragon King as well as the three fairies. Although the cultivators were all aware the Dragon King's daughter and the three fairies were so promiscuous due to their cultivation techniques that required the Yang from men, the three fairies were all delicate beauties who were very tender and the Dragon King's daughter had held the title of top beauty within the entirety of the Dragon clan during the past three thousand years. Any man would fall for them, and the knowledge that they'd have some of their Yang taken in the process became trivial in comparison.

As for the Dragon King's daughter and the three fairies, they understood this well. It wouldn't be strange for them to take an entire life's worth of Yang energy if it was an ordinary person, but for cultivators, they'd dabble at most and would stop before crossing any lines that would cause hostility from the cultivator's clan or sect.

There were also cultivators who wore masks and were unwilling to show their true selves, but this was rather normal. There were those who had the desire but not the guts, and they'd only show their true appearance after entering the palace.

The Colored Glass Palace was located at the center of the Thousand-Stream Sea, with half of it floating on the surface and the other half within the waters. Its entrance was through a thousand-foot-tall white-jade staircase that was directed towards the hall at the highest point of the palace. Its sides were surrounded by boundless ripples, the blazing sun was overhead, and below was filled with all kinds of rare flowers, plants, and unusual sea beasts, making this place akin to an immortal's cave estate. Qi was also extremely abundant and permeated all of the people's hearts.

Fang Xing's eyes lit up as he, the little miss, and the golden crow drew closer to the Colored Glass Palace. "For the Qi of this place to be so abundant, is there some kind of spirit vein that can be underwater as well?" Typically speaking, the places with a great abundance of Qi were usually situated above some kind of spirit vein or had spirit veins nearby. Fang Xing had sensed the richness of the Qi here the moment he'd arrived, and it had to be said that if a giant formation hadn't been made for the sake of gathering Qi, these circumstances must have been caused by a spirit vein.

The golden crow's eyes twinkled. "Spirit veins do not belong only on land, and in fact the amount of spirit veins on the ocean floor is much greater than what is found on land, I'm afraid. It's just that human cultivators are not used to living in the seas, so many of the spirit veins have been taken over by sea beasts. The richest spirit veins have been taken over by the Dragon tribe, who have godly mines and spiritual treasures. This is also the reason why the Dragon tribe is known for their wealth. This daughter of the Dragon King who was evicted from the Azure Sea's Dragon Palace can in fact be considered an extremely wealthy woman…."

"Hehehehe…." Hearing this, Fang Xing turned to look at the golden crow and let out a soft laugh. Nothing more needed to be said.

"What the hell are you two laughing so sneakily about?" the little miss turned around and chastised them. "Hurry and get inside!"

Fang Xing and the golden crow let out roguish laughter before both chased up to the already-drooling lotus girl.

Below the white-jade staircase that led to the Colored Glass Palace, a hundred-foot-wide public square floated just above the ripples of the water for cultivators to land from the sky. Although the daughter of the Dragon King had been banished, she was still the eldest daughter of the Dragon Palace and her influence was not small. She'd also formed the golden core and could be considered on the level of a grand elder with a demeanor to match, so no one dared to directly fly into her Colored Glass Palace. Anyone who'd come here for the Red Convention would land at the public square first before climbing the white-jade staircase up into the Colored Glass Hall above.

Fang Xing, the lotus girl, and the golden crow landed and started swaggering up the white-jade staircase, but they only managed to get to the halfway point before two hill-sized crab generals blocked their way with their giant sea turtles. Their bulging eyes looked over the lotus girl and golden crow before both stared directly at Fang Xing's face. "Who are you? Show us the invitation from the king's daughter!"

Before finishing off the shark beast and old clam, Fang Xing had interrogated them about the rules of this place. The guards' demands didn't cause him to panic, and showed a fake smile before answering, "I am merely an insignificant cultivator studying with my teacher on an island a hundred thousand miles away. It is my first time leaving my island, and after seeing such a grand event, I'm here to watch and increase my knowledge. I was hoping the two great generals would be able to accommodate us and let us in…." As he spoke, he quietly took out a storage sack and pushed it over with a smile that was innocent and pure, without a trace of ill intent.
