Chapter 082

Okay, so I can’t magic up a male body… but I can make stuff mundanely, and I have a rather lot of UPB’s from summons constantly working the Industry onboard.  An Infiltration Skin costs just 5200 UPBs to make, and a backup generator 2100. If I connect the backup generator back to the armor, then as long as I am moving for at least four hours a day, the armor stays charged; I could stay in it forever… and an Infiltration Skin can look like any medium humanoid race.  I'd need the armor proficiency, but that’s just two quick castings of Heroics for the combat feats.  I can't use my Eidolon at the same time… but that's acceptable. I would also need to be Small or smaller, but there's several spells that will accomplish that… and I suppose that as long as I'm using buffs and not needing to worry overly much about the effects on my body (it won't show anyway) I may as well go whole hog… which will probably even counter the loss of my eidolon for skills and ability scores. Huh.

“Ah… while I absolutely support you using more of our power on us, denial isn't healthy,” my pink partner protests.

Well… if it doesn't work out, I can just revert, no problem.

Let's see… Attuned Mysticism on Fell Energy will boost bonuses quite well, and I can cross-class spells easily now thanks to Dream Manifestation. Let's see…

Spoiler

I start with basic numbers boosting. Superior Resistance is a sixth level spell that gives a six point resistance bonus to saving throws (eight, with Fell Energy spell). Conviction is a first level spell that adds a five point Morale bonus to the same (seven, with Fell Energy Spell). Mythic Heroism is a third level spell that grants Immunity to fear, and a four point morale bonus to attack, saves, and skill checks (six, with Fell Energy Spell). Bestow Insight is a second level spell that gives a nice bonus (six points, at my working caster level; eight with Fell Energy) to a specified skill check… which I repeat for each of the nineteen basic Starfinder skills. Inner Beauty from Fiendish Codex I will give me a nice +6 Sacred boost to Charisma and Dexterity with Fell Energy, and is Bard-4; with the magical gear I always wear anyway, that gets my Dexterity up to nineteen… and despite the loss of my meatsuit, boosts my Charisma by two points. I can do better on Dexterity, though: Divine Agility is fifth and (with Fell Energy) grants a +12 Enhancement bonus to Dexterity… which, with my base score of seven and the six point boost from Inner Beauty, should get me to a Dexterity score of twenty-five… which beats out the max Dexterity limit of the Infiltration Skin, so obviously I'll stop there on Dexterity, as more won't help. Mythic Divine Favor is first level grants a three point bonus (five, with Fell Energy) to Attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saves, and skill checks.  Mythic Foresight is ninth grants a three point Insight bonus (five, with Fell Energy) to AC and Reflex saves, plus prevents me from being surprised or flat-footed.  Mythic Haste is third boosts my AC and reflex by a point (three, with Fell Energy), gives me an extra move action each round, and increases the speed of ant movement modes I have.  Ruin Delver's Fortune is a fourth level spell that grants my Charisma to a saving throw type as a luck bonus, and has a few riders depending on the form chosen... I get one copy for each base save. Finally, Opportunity is a fifth level spell that lets me roll three times and use the best result for attacks, saves, skill, and ability checks… which makes it a really good blessing of luck.

Of course, I need defensive spells: Energy Immunity (five times, once for each element: Acid, Cold, Electricity, Fire, and Sonic; it's sixth, and does what it says on the tin), Favor of the Martyr is fourth (it grants a host of status immunities), Death Ward (a fourth level spell that helps with death spells, death effects, and negative energy), One Step Beyond I already have (a ninth level spell that stops all divinations cold), Protection From Evil (a first level spell that helps with mind control and possession…. it also has some bonuses vs. evil creatures), Greater Shield of Lathandar (a seventh level spell, which can't take Fleeting Spell… but it's twenty points of damage reduction, plus Immunity to negative energy effects), Mystic Shield (an eighth level spell that stops spells of sixth level and lower - which is all spells except Miracle and Wish in Starfinder - and also negates enchantments on incoming weapons), Starmantle (a sixth level spell that turns non-magical weapons into harmless light - combines scarily well with Mystic Shield), and the 2nd level Darkness spell to counter the light from the same. Stormrage (an eighth level spell) that grants flight, immunity to wind and ranged projectiles (of all stripes: An arrow, a bullet, a shot from a trebuchet, or a cannon: It's all the same), and gives me the option of zapping with lightning from my eyes.  Ironguard is seventh, and lets me walk through metal walls as well as ignore metal weapons. And to top it off, One with the Cosmos is a ninth level spell that grants the benefits of True Seeing (see through transmutations and illusions automatically), Freedom of Movement (prevents being held down or restricted by most things), comes with a host of immunities, stops aging, and gives a ten point boost to knowledge checks (which turn into several other checks here).

I also load up with movement modes: Earth Glide to go (slowly) through dirt and stone (fourth). Ride the Waves (swim speed, 30 feet; also a fourth level spell). Mythic Fly (for a one hundred twenty foot fly speed) is third. Also Greater Dimension Door (5th; lets me teleport at Close range once per round as a move action… mostly redundant with my other abilities, but I don't have other uses for move actions normally).

I don't neglect senses: Greater Blindsight, a fourth level spell that grants blindsight out to sixty feet (which allows “seeing” through fog, mist, dust, and the like). Dragonsight is a 5th level spell that grants low-light vision (an upgraded sort), Darkvision at ten feet per caster level, and blindsense for half that range. Ebon Eyes is a first level spell that lets Darkvision penetrate magical darkness in addition to the normal sort. Tremorsense is a third level spell that tells me where everyone is when they're in contact with the same ground, out to a thirty foot range (good when underground). Greater Arcane Sight is a seventh level spell to show me exactly what spells are on creatures or objects. Aura Sight is a third level spell that will tell me everyone's alignment (a very rough indication of personality). Mythic Detect Scrying is fourth, and will let me see who's looking at me magically. Greater Anticipate Teleportation is a sixth level spell from Spell Compendium that will give me three rounds of warning on incoming teleporters.

Of course, I also pick up a few feats with Heroics (a second level spell, from Spell Compendium): Powered Armor proficiency (and the requirements), as well as proficiency with long arms, basic melee weapons, advanced melee weapons, sniper weapons, grenades, heavy weapons, and shields. Also Weapon Specialization (add my level to damage with a weapon), Versatile Specialization (make that all weapons with which I'm proficient), Weapon Focus (a one point bonus to attack with a given weapon type) Versatile Focus (make that all weapons with which I'm proficient), and Curveball (lets me throw grenades around corners).

And for convenience, I add Fastidiousness, a first level spell that keeps me squeaky clean.

[collapse]

There we go; two hundred fiftu three levels of spells.  I'll need to add one more (Reduce Person) to fit in the armor, but before I do, I figure I should check… so I go to my room, drop my illusion… also the base True Seeing spell, as One with the Cosmos handles that, and ask: “Stephanie, what are my measurements right now?”

She pauses, “You’re off the charts… looks like a Q cup, a bit over nine inches in diameter each.  I'm surprised you took our chat to heart so quickly.”

I smile, “Well… a person who loses a limb in an accident is well advised to get a prosthetic, right?”

“Yes…” she replies hesitantly, “But what does a harness have to do with boosting your bustline so much?”

“Oh, I'm going to do a bit more than build a harness…” am I smirking? I might be smirking, “Under all the augmentations, what is your little body?”

“An Infiltration Skin… wait, don't tell me you're going to…” she trails off.

“Make a fake male body, which I plan to wear basically constantly?” I pause, “Yes, that’s the plan.  I embraced the chest because it should stop mattering shortly, so I can power up and mostly ignore the side effect of my power.”

“This won't end well…” my pink partner whispers in the back of my mind.

I ignore her as Stephanie speaks, “Well… I hope it works out.”

“If push comes to shove, I can turn off most of the effects if it doesn't work well,” I reassure both of them… the exception is Greater Shield of Lathandar, but it’s one of dozens, and is nice to have.

I then fetch a lot of UPBs from storage, and get to work building. I go with a basic human male appearance, a bit beefier than I used to be (the Infiltration Skin comes with a strength score of eighteen - while not Olympic level strength, it's well above human average), but otherwise looking like my old self.  I of course make it masterwork by Pathfinder’s older rules, getting rid of that pesky armor check penalty on the Infiltration Skin; it will be quite nimble.

I end up making the control structure suitable for a Diminutive person; I plan to use Fey Form IV to fit inside as a nine inch tall Sprite… and at that scale, I can fit a small camper in the chest cavity with the extra space.  The big bonus is that I still have my Accelerated Datajack; it scales down, but I can account for that… and use it to get full sensory input from the rig.

Oh yes, and all my gear will be on my little body, which will make me very hard to pickpocket.

After I'm finally finished fabrication, I cast the final buff spell on myself, enter the rig, and hook in….
