Meeting Wednesdays Parents
There were plenty of pictures hung up on the walls with Candles providing light even though it was lunch right now it seemed like it was night time in these halls as there were no windows to allow light to enter the place.
As I walked forward I suddenly heard a voice come from behind, i got slightly startled and looked back and Saw Wednesday.
"So you really came"
"Hello Wednesday, I was invited so ofcourse I'll come"
"Follow me"
She looked at Lurch and signaled him to get away.
"So, do they know of anything yet?"
"I'm not telling them anything until I investigate more"
"Okay"
We walked up to a big gate which Wednesday Opened revealing a long table filled delicacies.
Wednesdays father and mother were sitting on the the side part of the table and wednesdays brother was sitting besides wednesdays mother.
We both walked up and sat down on two chairs opposite of pugsley and the door shut close.
"So nice to meet you again James"
"Nice to meet you to Mr. Addams"
"Oh please call me Gomez, have something"
He said as he pointed to the food on the table, I picked out a few things and everyone started eating in silence.
"So James do you mind telling us what attracted you to our Daughter?"
"Well, its complicated, but in short less complicated terms she is really beutiful and has a unique charm which I like"
"Oh, haha! I get what you are talking about, Its the same with me and my wife when I met her I felt the same as you feel"
Wednesdays mother smiled and held Gomez's hands and they both looked into each others eyes.
"She is the most beautiful person I ever laid ey.."
"Father, this is not the correct time"
They got interrupted and broke eye contact and looked back at the table.
"Sorry honey but I cant help myself sometimes, so James what is it that you plan on doing in the future"
Hmm... am I talking to the Addams family... why are the questions so... normal.
I havent really given much thought into it... that's not something I can really say now can I... Umm.
"Only time can tell what I have in mind sir"
"Haha secretive are you"
"Haha"
We started eating once again when wednesdays mother suddenly said something.
"Have you perhaps seen a foolish little Hand?"
She must be referring to Thing.
"I'm sorry but are you talking about the detached hand that can move and "talk"?"
"Yes, you seem relatively relaxed, normal people dont react like that when they see a detached hand"
"Well, I got over it, consider it a perk of my intellegence"
This time Gomez said something while pointing at me.
"Its name is Thing, since you know off it, that would mean you should have it right, Is it well taken care of"
I remembered me locking up Thing and covering it with that black cloth... I wonder can it go insane, i mean i left it like that for a day or two now.
"He is well taken care of, If you'd like I can bring him back here"
"Oh dont worry, I'm certain he is fine and it can do him a little good to have some fresh air from this place"
Haha Success! I know all of the signs that shows someone is lying and I'm certain these people are basically lie detectors on their own yet I successfully lied without being called out!
"Oh I almost forgot he is Pugsley, Wednesdays younger brother"
Pugsley waved at me me saying hi and returned the gesture and then Wednesday abruptly spoke.
"Mother, Father I wish to go to Nevermore Academy"
Gomez's knife and fork that he was holding dropped and her mothers hands also stopped, A bright smile appeared on both Gomez and Wednesdays mothers face.
"Did you hear that honey, our little baby just said she wants to go to Nevermore!"
"I know, it's a true surprise she asked first"
They both held each others hands in excitement.
"I have a condition first"
They both stopped their excitement and looked at Wednesday happily.
"Honey anything you ask"
"I want James to come with me"
"No problem Honey, although James might feel a bit left out"
"I think he will do just fine"
This just made it easier now I dont have to cash in my favour with Wednesday.
Dinner resumed and Wednesdays parents seemed excited although pugsleys face was a bit sullen, he didnt say anything and the dinner went peacefully, after which I was shown out by Wednesday.
At the front gate infront of my car we both stood.
"I know you lied about Thing"
How?
"How, even your parents didnt noticed my lie"
"It was skillfully hidden but I was seated right besides you, it was easier to notice the slight twitches"
Well, I guess I've gotta get better.
I started walking over to the drivers seat and was about to get in when a question got stuck in my head.
"Why did you put that condition up?"
"You dragged me into this investigation, isnt it only right for you to be there as I find out the truth, i dont believe my father actually killed whoever you are talking about"
"Alright but, that's it?"
I asked a bit coy trying to get a answer I want.
"Yes, that's it now goodbye"
But she shut me down, I got in the car and drove back home feeling that the meeting went well and soon reached home where I saw that Uncle Mitchell and Cameron's car was still in the driveway.
Hmm.. it's been a few days now so it should be enough for me to introduce the car and maybe the Warehouse, I mean these two are related to one another so for me to have a reasonable way to explain the car I need to expose the warehouse... I cant just keep hiding this all forever... well I can but I dont want to, it feels as if I am hiding some bad secret, it make me feel pressurized.
And anyways they are my family what's the harm... exactly none, atleast I wont show that Monster yet or the scar.
