In Denial
In Jay's and Gloria's bedroom everyone was standing patiently as James who was sat on the bed with his shirt opened with his scar exposed.
And when I say everyone I mean Eyeryone, this includes Jay, Hayley etc.. all looking towards James with questioning face.
They had all gone through the initial stages of Shock by now, Claire had started crying, Jay was really shocked so much so that he hadn't spoken a word since he saw it, Hayley and the rest were extremely shocked and started bombarding him with questions after a few minutes they took to let the shock set in.
Phil didnt know what to do, His own son had somehow gotten such a huge scar... And he had no Idea about it? He was starting to question just what kind of a father he is.
He had always tried to be the "Cool Dad" towards his Children however at this moment he was questioning everything he had done as a parent, And in the end completely blaming his parenting and entering a state similar to self doubt.
James looked around at all of these people he considers family and he knew he had to come clean about everything.
James wanted his family to know the truth about what exists in the world.
He opened his mouth to explain how he had gotten this Scar and that caught everyone's attention, He spoke about how he had met with Wednesday and they had gone to that high end resturant that had gotten shut down for "Unknown" reasons according to the news, James explained just what had happened that day.
He recounted how Wednesday was about to be attacked and killed but he took the hit causing the Sharp Claw to pierces his Chest through.
No one spoke as they all quietly listened as James continued to recount what he had experienced as they sometimes took a glance at Wednesday.
Everyone didnt seem to have quite believed what James was saying as what he was talking about was just pure Fantasy in there heads so they were having a hard time believing that this was what actually happened Well... Everyone except Gloria ofcourse, She believed every single word coming out of James's mouth without hesitation as that was the only plausible explanation for the Scar.
Even Manny seemed to be having a hard time believing what James was saying and he was a person who had experienced Gloria exorcising "Evil Spirits" and he thoroughly believed in such things, however he had never seen something Physical before as it was always Mental related Attacks on Humans.
James continued telling the story and he told them about how the Car started shooting at the Monster and then Healed James which by now caused everyone except Gloroa to start to come to a conclusion, The conclusion that James was making up a story as all of this is was just too Unrealistic.
James finished speaking and sat there silently as he was waiting for the response to his story, he wasnt Dumb he knew just how unbelievable this all sounds to a ordinary Human and he had decided that he was going to show them a Video of all of this happening.
"That just sounds like a very well Made up story James, you should think about becoming a writer" Hayley was the first person to speak and add a snarky jab at James as she didnt believe the story at all and she had alsi still not gotten over her loss previously.
So When James was speaking previously, Hayley had decided that, That Scar was just a really well made Tatoo and he was hiding the fact that he got such a massive Tatoo with this story.
"Yeah honey... I mean I want to believe you but... you are not exactly making this easy, why dont you tell us what really happenex"
Claire spoke as although currently she had not realized it, she was going through a certain level of Denial when she saw the scar, and this "Story" made her Denial stronger.
Wednesday who knew that what James had said was a hundred percent Facts just watched how everyone was reacting with Amusement, for her this whole barbecue had been an insane roller coaster of sorts.
First she had to face what she truly felt for James and realized that James felt the same way making her drop her gaurd around him as she truly had began to trust him.
Next it was him showing her his Fight with the Immortal Wendigo which was a whole rollercoaster of emotions in it's own rights and then her Experiencing Freefalling where she had felt so liberated and free, ofcourse that was before she had crashed through the flock of birds which ruined the whole experience of it.
And then there was the Actual Lunch where she had "Accidently" Flushed his phone into the Toilet after getting angry at the Pictures and then there was This incident where Gloria found out something Odd, and then soon the whole family followed in finding out leading to the current situation.
To her this entire barbecue has been Intense emotion one after the Other which is something extremely Uncommon for Wednesday so she finnaly found something Light in emotions and was enjoying the show instead of being in the center of it.
"I knew you guys wouldn't believe it as it truly sounded purely out of a Fantasy, however I have recordings to prove all of it"
