A Brush With Death

As Jay sat in front of the screen, his heart heavy with the weight of his own impending death, he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over him as he watched his grandson, James, come face to face with certain death.

As Jay's gaze remained fixated on the screen, his mind raced with thoughts of how he could possibly save his grandson from the monster that loomed over him.

The monster's monstrous growls filled the air as it opened its jaws wide, ready to devour James in one swift bite.

James's vision was clouded, but through the haze, he could make out the glint of the monster's razor-sharp teeth as they edged closer and closer to his legs.

James tried with all his might to move his legs, to wriggle free from the monster's grasp, but his body was too weak and all he could manage were feeble attempts to kick and squirm.

James' mind was in a state of panic as he desperately tried to break free from the monster's grip. He clenched his teeth and fists, but to no avail.

James was horrified as he stared at the monster getting closer and closer. He didn't know what to do anymore when suddenly, the sound of screeching tires and shattering glass filled the air. Smoke began to fill the area, adding to the chaos.

Everyone watching were filled with curiosity as they speculated about what could have saved James in their minds. They found it strange that they had heard screeching tires, but they shrugged it off as unimportant

The monster quickly turned its head to investigate the sound, moving its head away from James.

The fog slowly cleared, revealing a familiar outline of James' car. The two beams of headlights shone through the dissipating fog.

The headlights suddenly switched off, leaving everyone wondering what would happen next.

Suddenly, loud bangs of gunshots filled the air as the headlight lit up with gunfire sparks.

As the gunfire continued, the fog finally cleared completely, revealing the incredible sight of James's car shooting bullets out of its headlights. The deafening gunfire was too much for some of the younger onlookers, who clapped their hands over their ears in a vain attempt to block out the noise.

The monster, who had been closing in on James, was now getting hit with bullets, creating holes all over its body. It let out a loud roar, its gaze fixed on the car that was attacking it.

The monster, in its anger, threw James away from its grasp and charged towards the car, its large claws ready to tear it apart.

James's car, controlled by his AI Jarvis, didn't back down. Its tires screeched as it burnt rubber, producing smoke as it quickly reversed, trying to avoid the monster's charge.

The monster took a giant leap, its eyes fixed on the car, but it was shot multiple times mid-air, causing it to fall to the ground, motionless. The gunfire stopped and the quietness returned.

The Car pulled up beside James and the backseat and the front doors opened automatically. Wednesday rushed over to him, her face etched with worry as she stared confused at the open door

Wondering just what to do, suddenly a familiar voice was spoken to Wednesday "Please Place him inside the Car" it was short causing the everyone to wonder just who it belonged to as the voice was not exactly clear and she had a look of understanding and confusion.

She brought her hands towards him and struggled to lift him up and place him inside the car.

"He will be healed," Jarvis's familiar voice echoed from the car's speakers. "Please, get in the car. Authorities will be here soon." The Dunphy family looked at the car in shock, their familiarity with Jarvis only adding to their confusion. The others, still reeling from the shock of the video, didn't understand the reason for the family's reaction, but it didn't matter.

Wednesday quickly climbed into the car and the front door closed automatically behind her. The car rapidly accelerated, leaving the restaurant and the seemingly dead monster behind.

Everyone assumed that the video had come to an end, but James didn't close the phone. It became clear that he wanted to show them more.

However, the screen remained unchanged, with the monster still lying on the floor, appearing dead.

A few moments passed in silence as Luke was about to speak, but the recording suddenly fast forwarded. It stopped on a frame where nothing much had changed, the monster still lying there, dead.

But then, the monster's eyes suddenly opened, revealing bloody red irises.

It began to rise to its feet, and what shocked everyone was that there was no sign of the blood or bullet holes that should have been present on its body.

The monster's body seemed to have completely healed, not a single bullet hole or drop of blood in sight. Its mouth hung open as it let out a deafening snarl, its bloody red eyes fixated on something or someone unseen.

A few moments later Without warning, the monster abruptly turned its head and bolted, crashing through the walls of the restaurant and out of the camera's view. Everyone in the room was left staring in shock and confusion at the phone screen, wondering what could have possibly caused the creature to act in such a way.

The group of onlookers were at a loss for words, struggling to process the impossible scene they had just witnessed.

The question of how the creature had survived the barrage of bullets from James' car was on everyone's mind, but they were too stunned to even consider the fact that the car built by James himself, was equipped with guns!

The group was left in disbelief as they remembered the creature's unmarred appearance, not a single scratch or wound visible on its body after it had risen again.

James just sat frozen, his eyes flitting nervously around the room as he waited for the reactions of those around him. He had no idea how they would react - would they be mad that he had put himself in such danger? Angry that he had put them through such a traumatic experience? Happy that he was still alive? He couldn't even begin to guess, and the not knowing was eating away at him.

"James..." Claire's voice was choked with emotion as she walked towards him, tears streaming down her face. She reached out, her arms wrapping tightly around him in a comforting embrace.

James was taken aback, his body stiffening at the unexpected gesture. It had been years since his mother had hugged him like this, and he wasn't quite sure how to react. But as her arms tightened around him, he slowly relaxed, returning the hug with a feeling of warmth spreading through his chest. It was clear that she was just happy that he was still alive and safe.
