Finally, we arrived! I shouted to myself when we reached the burrow after being carried by mom for several minutes, feeling like I could die at any moment if my mother crashed into a tree. I don't think my body can withstand something like that. I saw my sister and Swadloon eating some berries before my mother let me go, but the first thing I did was vomit again.

"Blehhhh!"

If my mother carries me again, I think I'll have post-traumatic stress. Even flying as a Pidgey took me several hours to get here, but mom did it in a few minutes and it doesn't seem like she was giving her all because I could feel that the wind pressure was bearable, so my mother must have calculated the speed she needed to go without hurting me too much. But just thinking about it makes my body tremble.

"Swa-Swadloon! (Are you okay?)" I could hear Swadloon concerned about my situation. If I were in my previous world and someone asked me that same question looking at my current state, I would respond sarcastically and rudely. But it's not something I would do to anyone I currently know, well, except for the senile giant dog.

"I'm fine, just a little..." I couldn't finish speaking because I started vomiting again.

"Bune-Buneary (Are you really okay? You should eat a Sitrus Berry)," my sister asked me as she handed me a partially eaten berry.

"I'm really okay." My sister didn't pursue the topic and just patted me on the back.

Several minutes passed calming down until we saw the woman's Pokémon descending from the sky. "Unfe-Unfezant! (Tifa, don't run so fast, it's quite hard to keep up with your speed)!" She seemed quite annoyed with our mother.

"Lopu-Lopunny (Sorry, I haven't moved too much for months aside from practicing my punches, so I couldn't control my speed well after so long without strenuous activities)." Just hearing her made my body tremble. The woman got off the Pokémon and observed the place, she seemed quite curious.

That's when her eyes stuck to my sister, and she approached her with a very excited look.

"You look so cute, you remind me of Tifa before she evolved. Can I hold you?" My sister got nervous and started looking at me in panic, and I saw her hand starting to glow with electricity.

"Sister, stop," I said, trying to prevent a tragedy from happening.

"Bune-Buneary (She carries strange things in her body, she must be a human, and Mom told us they are dangerous)." Only now did the story Mom told us to scare us come to my mind, but most likely, it was to make us stay away when we saw one and prevent us from being captured.

"Lopu-Lopunny (It's okay, she's my friend, you don't have to worry)." Our mother approached my sister and intervened before she did something rash.

"So, can't I hold you?" The woman asked with a somewhat sad expression, and my sister seemed a bit guilty before looking at our mother and seeing her nodding, she walked up to the woman before opening her arms.

"Bune-Buneary (It's okay, you can hold me)." Liza seemed to understand that Buneary agreed, and without a second thought, she began to hold her in her arms like a baby, and my sister seemed to enjoy it.

"She's so cute, when was she born?"

"Mom, you told me you would explain about your past and why this woman is looking for you." Now I'm quite curious about my mother's past to know how she became so strong.

I saw how my sister settled to look in the direction of our mother, while being embraced by the woman who couldn't stop caressing her head, and Swadloon looked at the situation while eating some leaves.

"Lopu-Lopunny (Do you want me to tell you how I met her, or do you want to know everything about my past?)"

"I want to know everything about you." My mother began to give me gentle strokes on my head and started to explain her past.

"Lopu-Lopunny (Actually, she is my trainer. I was born near this forest, but unlike my other Buneary brothers and sisters who liked to play among themselves, I liked to explore the place, fight with other Pokémon, and before I knew it, I felt like I didn't belong where I was born and decided to leave my family behind. Since then, I focused on learning to survive by collecting berries and defending myself from other Pokémon)." Wow, her way of thinking when she was younger is surprising.

"Lopu-Lopunny (At first, it was difficult, but over time it became fun, and one day I was found by a girl who was Liza along with her father, and they saw me fighting against several Beedrill. Liza shouted that she wanted me as her Pokémon, and all I could see was how the Beedrill were completely wiped out by Ursaring's Hyper Beam. I was in shock, and they threw a Poké Ball at me, and since then, she became my trainer.)" How the heck did that turn of events happen?

"Lopu-Lopunny (We were together all the time, and I trained every day with the other Pokémon she had captured, and when I finally evolved the following year, Liza's father died, and she became the gym leader. Since then, we've been busy accepting challenges from many trainers and traveling to many places for different reasons.)"

Wow, that's quite sad and interesting. I also want to embark on a journey as a Pokémon trainer, that was my dream as a child, but it was absolutely impossible. Now it's not as impossible as before, and becoming a Pokémon won't stop me from fulfilling that dream. I tried to get out of my thoughts and continued listening to my mother.

"Lopu-Lopunny (On one of those trips, I faced your father, who was a very powerful Zoroark, and when we fought, he was affected by my ability that has the effect that triggers the effect only when I am attacked by Pokémon that use contact moves, and he ended up winning the battle when I fainted. You two were born shortly after.)"

"Wait, how did you end up facing him?" I know it's something I shouldn't ask because it might have been a painful experience for her, but I felt very angry. He may have ended up giving me life, yet, I can't tolerate that someone did that to my mother. But my mother's next explanation left me in shock.

"We were investigating an area that was supposed to be important, and we had separated to investigate the area more efficiently. I found him, and I had already told you that I like to fight, but especially when it comes to strong Pokémon. I instinctively felt that he was a very strong Pokémon and wanted to face him, which didn't take long because he started attacking me with hatred when he saw me. You know the rest. As for where he is..." There was an uncomfortable silence, and my mother turned her gaze to Liza, and then she simply said.

"I killed him with the help of my other Pokémon. I won't tolerate anyone touching Tifa, especially without her consent." A chill ran through my whole body. I just hope she never discovers my intentions with mom or my sister that have arisen over the time we have interacted lately. Wait a moment. Can she understand my mother? I don't see Kirlia anywhere.

I looked at my mother, and she immediately understood my doubt. "Lopu-Lopunny (She specializes in Normal-type Pokémon and becomes stronger for each high-ranking Normal-type Pokémon she has a strong connection with, and it also allows her to communicate with Normal-type Pokémon in general. But it doesn't apply to you because you're a Dark type.)" My head was spinning with all this sudden information.

"Lopu-Lopunny (But don't worry about your father. It's something from the past and happened because I was weaker than him. But at least I'm lucky to have you two, and the reason I came with you to this place is that I wanted to spend a lot of time with you, see you grow under my care, and I wanted you to be born free. Although I must say that you surprised me by developing consciousness shortly after birth. You two were born complete geniuses, although you stand out in that aspect much more than your sister because she strives to keep up with you.)"

I tried to summarize everything in my mind, and the only thing that became clear to me is that my mother was much more aggressive than the Buneary around her when she was young. She became a Pokémon of a gym leader, my father is, or rather he was, a bastard who abused my mother, but he was already killed by his trainer. Seeing her way of responding, she must have given him a brutal and painful death. Now I know that humans can become stronger by having more Pokémon, and it also allows them to communicate with them. Although I still don't know how that works completely. Just thinking about so many differences with the game and anime world was causing me a lot of stress.

"Mom, I'm going to become a Pokémon trainer." Mom started looking quite surprised at what I said.

"Do you really want to become a Pokémon trainer?" She didn't seem to believe me, but I simply responded with a "Yes" and just dropped that bomb to feel a little better because my head was spinning. I saw how the woman and the bird seemed quite surprised to hear my mother's question. But I looked at my sister and Swadloon, and I saw that they seemed to have more doubts than me.

Maybe they should think about our mother's complicated life. "Bune-Buneary (What is a gym?)" Now I think ignorance is a blessing, and I could only sigh due to the great amount of stress I felt today. And before I knew it, my mother gave me a warm hug, and I could feel that I could relax at the same time that my eyelids closed.
