Chapter 22: Requirements of evolution reached:
[ Indeed, host. They are not any common or low-class mages, but rather the imperial mages, the strongest mages in the empire, based on the power level you are seeing through blood vision.]
"That confirms it; I can't risk directly involving myself in any of this mess." Ben thought. He flew off the gigantic leaf in search of anything helpful around when his eyes struck a large magical circle, glowing in crimson red, not too far away from the ritual ground.
"What kind of thing is that?" Ben muttered, looking at the circle from a distance using his blood vision skill. With a little more investigation, he could confirm that there was no strong light force around that circle.
Flying close, he could observe around 12–13 bodies, their heads missing from their bodies, fallen on the ground. Pumps of blood gushing out of it.
"What is this now? Another ritual or something?" Ben asked, looking at the magic circle closely.
[ I believe it's a magic circle that's used to break the magic barrier over the Underworld's Tree. And these bodies belong to the humans who have been offered as sacrifices.]
"From the looks of it, it seems like this ritual wasn't performed much before. The blood is yet to dry." Ben observed the bodies around when a sudden thought occurred in his head. "Hey, system! Can I use this blood for the evolution quest?"
[Yes, as long as the blood is in liquid form, you can use it for your quest development. ]
"Then what are you waiting for? Let's do this right now" Ben said, his veins pumping in excitement of getting back into a humanoid form. For a second, he even forgot about the ritual being performed behind him, and the lives at stake, due to it.

A notification popped up on his screen, as the blood coming out of his body as well as the blood on the magic circle, started to convert into white light particles before evaporating in the air.

Just as the system continued to absorb more blood, the magic circle on the ground started to flicker, along with the barrier around the Underworld Tree.
"What is happening? Something is interrupting the magic ritual we performed." One of the mages in a black robe said, his voice tinged with anger and frustration.
-SUMMON UNDEAD- nOve/lb-In
The mage in a black robe chanted before he pointed his staff toward the ground. In response to his chant, the shadows on the ground started to flicker and five human skeletons materialized out of the ground, their eye glowing red, as they firmly held a rusted sword in their hand.
"Go and kill anything interfering with the magic circle outside. Protect the magic circle at all costs." The mage in black commanded before he started to chant the ritual again.

Unknown to what's happening inside, Ben was celebrating his free source of blood for evolution. According to his plan earlier, if he wanted to have human blood then he would have to kill the two humans driving the wagon and obtain blood from them.
But with a certain turn of fate, he was now in a free buffet of all blood he could get, without risking his life for it.

After consuming the required amount of blood from the sacrificed bodies and the magic circle, Ben's evolution into a vampire began. The blood and energy within him underwent a transformation, causing his body to disintegrate gradually. The process was not painful but rather warm and relaxing.
First, Ben's limbs began breaking apart, followed by his body. Only his head and wings remained intact. Then, white particles of light enveloped his head and wings, gradually materializing into blood. The blood levitated in the air and took the shape of a human, with three violet beast cores revolving around it.
As the violet beast cores transformed into violet liquid, they mixed with the blood structure, forming a skeletal structure around Ben. White flesh started to coat the skeletal frame, slowly shaping his new vampire body. This stunning transformation lasted for about three minutes, during which Ben experienced a comfortable sleep-like state.
After the transformation was complete, Ben's sleep was interrupted by a sharp notification, indicating the successful evolution into a vampire.

He touched his face, he could feel his eyes, his nose, and cold smooth skin. Ben was in disbelief, he looked at his hand, looked at his body in amusement. "I am finally back to ...human form." He muttered in disbelief.
Ben, instantly attempted to stand up, but he failed miserably, falling head first on the ground. He was still naked after evolution, and somehow, he wasn't able to properly stand up and regain his balance.
Maybe it was due to him being a mosquito earlier, or maybe because his new body was still weak after creation. Nevertheless Ben was happy, to get his human form back.
Ben took a moment to collect himself after the initial excitement of his transformation into a vampire. He realized that his new body was still weak and needed some time to adjust. He tried to stand up again, this time more carefully, and managed to find his balance.
As he stood there, naked and feeling the cool breeze on his skin, Ben took a deep breath and surveyed his surroundings. The magic circle on the ground had stopped flickering, and the barrier around the Underworld Tree seemed weakened. The mages in black robes were focused on the ritual, seemingly unaware of Ben's presence or his transformation.
Ben knew he couldn't waste any time. He needed to figure out his next move and how he could use his newfound vampire powers to his advantage. He looked at the crimson red screen floating before him, displaying his updated status as a vampire.
