Chapter 14

Gradually, consciousness seeped back into my mind, accompanied by a slight pain in my left shoulder. Blinking the sleep away, I looked down and saw black-olive hair with three hair clip-like extensions pressing on my left shoulder.

It took me a moment to remember that Cyan Sung-Sun, Harribel’s subordinate, had shown me to my new room the day before. She had started flirting with me a little and responded back as awkwardly as ever.

It was a surprise to me that I had managed to bed her. Despite not being a virgin, I'd always found it difficult to attract women, often having to put in ten times the effort just to get a girl's attention. Maybe my new power was attractive, or perhaps I was just lucky.

I was not in the mood to get depressed today, so I decided to let it be and enjoy the moment without questioning it.

I quickly snapped out of it when I felt Sung-Sun stirring next to me, her eyes opening drowsily.

"Good morning." She said, trying to stifle a small yawn behind her hand.

“Morning.” I replied, my sentences as short as ever when I didn't know what to say. Besides, saying good morning in Hueco Mundo was weird, but it was a habit from our time as humans.

"Why so shy?" Sung-Sun leaned in, her voice low and husky. "What happened to the confident man from yesterday who talked nonstop and was pretty fierce?" She smirked, brushing her fingertips lightly across my bare chest before settling onto the edge of the bed, crossing her legs and folding her arms. "Or was that all just an act to impress me?"

"It was the heat of the moment," I replied sheepishly, rubbing my hair. "Besides, Who could resist someone as alluring as you?" I added, hoping to smooth over my mistake.

"Hmm, good try," Sung-Sun said as she straightened her posture and ran her hands down her clothes, smoothing out any creases.

I couldn't help but steal a glance at her rear.

"Well, anyway, I have to go back to Lady Harribel before she gets worried." She said.

"Really? Then I guess I'll see you later." I replied, keeping my voice steady.

Sung-Sun surprised me by giving my left cheek a small peck. "Bye. Don't miss me too much," she said before turning and leaving the room with a small skip in her step.

Once she was gone, I rubbed my check a bit and dropped my smile. The experience had been enjoyable, and there was no denying that she was attractive, but I didn't feel any deep emotional attachment to her. It was just a physical release after years of being alone.

I couldn't say that I was falling for her or anything like that. And speaking of feelings, I couldn't help but think of Sora Inoue's obsession with his sister. It was a pain, really. That man never seemed to have a life of his own, always thinking about protecting Orihime, even during his own personal time. I wondered if his feelings for her went beyond that of a brother-father figure.

What made me remember, according to my biological clock, this body, or spirit, will turn thirty in a week's time. It was a strange thought, considering that I had died at twenty-five in my previous life. It was another nail to the annoying feeling I get while looking at my reflection in a mirror.

Despite the strange circumstances of my reincarnation, I couldn't deny the changes in my physical appearance. While I now resembled a 21-year-old Asian man, my jawline had become more defined and masculine, just like it was in my previous life. Additionally, I now stood at an impressive height of 2 meters (6'7"), which was a bit taller than I had been before.

I couldn't help but wonder if my spirit had somehow incorporated aspects of my previous life as a Vasto Lorde into this new body.

It was all just speculation, of course. But the more I thought about it, the more it seemed to make sense.

Leaving my thoughts behind, I stepped out of my room and made my way through the long hallways of Las Noches until I found an open area.

The artificial wind whistled through the deserted place as I closed my eyes, letting the power within me pulse and throb in anticipation of being unleashed. The sand beneath my feet was smooth, the artificial sky above me was clear, and everything felt tranquil.

However, as I focused on my newfound abilities, I felt a pair of immense spiritual powers stalking me from behind. My heart raced, and my body tensed up in readiness for an attack. There was no mistaking the sinister aura of a certain pair of Espadas.

Slowly, I pivoted on my heel, cautious not to expose my back to them. I strained to get a glimpse of the two figures.
Releasing my full spiritual power, I prepared for the inevitable clash.

"This was actually the first chapter I wrote when I started this fic, but I was never satisfied with it. However, the story has finally reached this point, so here it is.
What do you think? Acidwire is actually not that good at conversations and tends to take action instead of speaking.

Regarding the poll, I was surprised that the majority of people voted for Unohana to appear. Sure, the MC will eventually clash with her, there is still time until the invasion of Hueco Mundo.

And don't worry, Aizen would never leave Acidwire to run around messing his plans.
