Return To Player Chapter 31

‘Spatial Abstraction.’ This area will be separated from its surroundings, like a cut-out from reality.”

“How do we return?”

“As long as I don’t exclude you from the effect, you’ll see everything normally and can come and go as you please.”

It seemed that Mina had received this skill due to her need to infiltrate enemy lines through transformation, hence receiving it from her god.

‘What kind of overpowered skill is this?’

It was somewhat like the formations found in martial arts novels, but the difference here was that it distorted space itself, placing it on another level.

Knowing the future Mina, I was aware that she had the skill to evade detection, but I didn’t expect it to this extent. With this ability, if Mina decided to flee, nobody would be able to find her. This is why one must be chosen by a supreme deity to become an avatar.

“Here, take this. Melt it down to make a weapon.”

“Wow! Where did you get this?”

“Just some extra equipment from dungeon runs.”

I handed Siwoo weapons I had collected from my dungeon runs, which were not of the best quality.

“What should I make with these? A sword? Or perhaps a spear?”

As Siwoo mentioned common armaments, I shook my head.

“Do you really think you can kill Cheolwoong with a sword or a spear?”

“Then what weapon? Bows obviously won’t work against him, so maybe a blunt weapon? If it’s a blunt type, it might be effective…”

“No, not those. I’ll give you the blueprints, so please work on making this item.”

“This?”

I pulled out a blueprint I had prepared in advance. It was a blueprint of a weapon I had fashioned with the help of another blacksmith in my past life and one of my most favored weapons. I could easily draw the design from memory.

“…What exactly is this?”

Siwoo was taken aback looking at the blueprint. It must have been a weapon unknown to Hephaestus’s knowledge, as it didn’t exist in the age of mythology.

“File Bunker (Pile Bunker).”

There was no better weapon for killing a starfish-like creature.

Cheolwoong sighed deeply, his mood was foul.

For an entire week, he had failed to find one particular player.

“I thought that with such prowess, they would surely be roaming around collecting badges.”

He released monsters to search for the player who had fought him, but there was no sign of them.

“It doesn’t seem they are in the Safari either…”

The first person who came to mind was the player in the Safari rumored to have collected four badges. However, discussing it with Changwoo suggested the description didn’t match.

There was no sight of them. Either they had taken to the skies or sunk into the ground.

“Lord Cheolwoong!”

A giant monster resembling a plush bear waddled in clumsily, its massive frame exceeding three meters in height.

“What’s the matter? Is it a summons from Lord Karas?”

“Yes, yes!”

The trembling monster responded, and Cheolwoong’s face contorted in annoyance.

“Karas always has to drag me into these irritating issues.”

This was somewhat expected. Even if Karas had not contacted him, he was prepared to act today or tomorrow.

‘It’s been a while since I’ve had some real fun.’

He would have indulged in hunting daily if not for the risk of decimating the population in the amusement park too quickly, which would surely draw Karas’s ire.

Hence, aside from patrolling certain areas, he moved only upon Karas’s request.

Cheolwoong was like a walking disaster.

“Fine. I’ll head out immediately.”

“Wh-What? But to prepare other monsters, it may take some time…”

“It doesn’t matter. I alone am enough.”

Thump!

With every step Cheolwoong took, the ground cracked like spiderwebs under his massive feet.

“Then, tell Lord Karas that I’ll bring back people myself. I’ll return by evening.”

“Yes, yes, of course!”

Cheolwoong began to move his heavy body, footsteps resounding as he ventured solo into an area teeming with players. The monster, however, felt no concern.

‘Who among the players could possibly scratch the mighty Lord Cheolwoong?’

He wasn’t a normal monster but a Sentinel who dominated the region. Without Karas, this monster would have been the king of the land.

Everyday boss monsters were no comparison, and a player stood little chance against such a being.

However, the monster was unaware.

Right at that moment, a weapon capable of killing Cheolwoong had just been completed.
