# 60 Hidden Bomb (2)

If one were to summarize the woman named Hong Gaeun in a single word, it would be ‘swordsman’.

Not merely in the occupational sense, but rather akin to the warriors of classic folklore.

Inflexible, loyal to her superiors, finding delight in daily training – a woman who would have become a martial artist had she been born in the Joseon era.

Put in a good way, that is, but to put it differently, she was an oddity like no other.

‘Why does such a woman exist in modern times?’

I wonder what she did before this world became a game.

This isn’t some remote mountain village; it’s Seoul, the capital of South Korea.

“Take this!”

Swish!

Her skill though was unquestionable.

Her instincts almost matched those of Chang-woo, if not better.

Park Sung-hyuk, the guild master of Genesis, was not particularly strong as a player, but Hong Gaeun was undoubtedly powerful.

“You’re more than just a simpleton!”

Even her choice of words was odd.

She spoke ordinary Seoul dialect but occasionally, words appropriate for a historical drama slipped in.

Anyway, moving on.

“When people talk, you should listen.”

I lightly bent the back of my hand downward, causing a long blade to spring out.

This was new equipment I had requested Siwoo to make.

It was an arm guard that housed a blade, and since the guard contained variable orichalcum, I could coat any weapon I held with orichalcum anytime.

And just like now, I could also coat the protruding blade with orichalcum.

I raised my hand and lightly flicked away Gaeun’s sword.

“Hmph!”

But no sooner had I deflected it than Gaeun’s sword bent at a right angle, targeting my neck again.

It must be a skill, as it was much more formidable than before.

Clang!

Gaeun’s sword broke and twirled in the air as it fell.

“My sword…?”

Confusion washed over Gaeun’s face.

She had not anticipated her sword breaking so easily.

“Now, shall we talk?”

Before I could finish speaking, Gaeun yanked her belt and swung it.

‘A chain sword?!’

I couldn’t help but flinch as the attack whizzed past my cheek.

Who would have thought the belt she wore was actually a chain sword?

This was honestly the first time I had faced someone wielding a chain sword.

After dodging the serpent-like attack of the chain sword, I stepped on the flat of the blade and drove it into the ground.

“Argh!”

As Gaeun tried to pull out the sword stuck in the ground, she couldn’t because my foot was pressing down on it, and without hesitation, she let go of her hold. Then she pulled out two short swords hidden beneath her skirt and charged.

I had wondered why she wore a skirt; it was to conceal her swords.

‘Seriously, how many swords does she have?’

Fortunately, the quality of the weapons was poor, so they snapped effortlessly.

It wasn’t until after I had broken all seven of her swords that I managed to subdue Hong Gaeun.

“Kill him.”

Only then, having run out of weapons, did Gaeun submit in frustration.

In all my life, I had never encountered such a tenacious adversary.

I’d also never known there could be so many places to hide swords on one’s body.

“I came here to talk.”

“I have no interest in talking with a rat.”

“No, not with you. I want to talk with the guild master of Genesis.”

At the mention of the guild master of Genesis, killing intent once again filled Gaeun’s eyes.

Had I left her be, she would have probably drawn another sword from somewhere and attacked me again.

“I am a guild member of Deicide.”

“…What?”

“Don’t make me repeat myself. I am a guild member of Deicide. I’ve come to speak with your guild master.”

“Is that true?”

“Yes.”

I had half-expected her to demand proof, but surprisingly, she readily believed me.

Easy for me, but I wondered if it was really okay for her to trust me so easily.

“Alright, if you are from Deicide, then that’s a different matter.”

Hong Gaeun hastily collected her broken swords and gestured for me to follow.

She led the way more cheerfully than one would expect from a person who had just been trying to kill me.

Park Sung-hyuk’s office was located on the seventh floor of the building.

As I entered, he was engrossed in looking at a map, but his gaze flew over to us and fixated on me.

“Ms. Gaeun, who is that person behind you?”

“He claims to be a guild member of Deicide.”

“Really? Is that true?”

“Yes, that’s what he says.”

Gaeun answered promptly.
