But the situation wasn't that lost yet, after all the exploring cultivator had more than a few powerhouses of the Body Integration Realm with them, so the result was yet unclear.

It all depended on those guys' soul power and mental strength in Tianlong Yun's opinion. If those guys were able to keep their sanity and be ruthless then the situation could be overturned.

One thing was certain though, the result would surely be a bloody one, with a lot of dead bodies from both sides.

Tianlong Yun couldn't hope for a better situation here, but now there was one big problem he had to face, how should he get out of this fortress city?

If he passed through the passage he would surely be caught by those royalty guys and most probably would end up as a slave.

While he might find a way to get out of there eventually, he didn't like the idea of being a slave even for a moment.

That would surely not be a good experience and idea. Who would want to experience the life of a slave, especially when he was the Patriarch of a soon-to-be invincible Clan.

There were times when someone had to think and decide with his pride on the line, and for Tianlong Yun this was precisely such a case.

Furthermore, he also wished to have a look at the nightmare forests outside that were claimed to be the place of that great Soul God.

Deciding on this, he placed everything related to this at the back of his head, and he started looking at the information on the second server, or box.

In this server, or box of sorts was all the information about their cultivation manuals, and soul techniques passed from the famous Soul God.

Their cultivation manual was named as "Celestial Soul Splitting' manual. According to the manual, one split his soul into different parts that could be fused later.

Normally the technique was a divine ranking one according to the legends left behind from the Soul God, and if one was able to cultivate with it until the end would surely become a Soul God.

The more one split his soul the stronger would the main root soul becomes if it survived the split, but also the split partial souls could fuse again to form a more powerful soul.

The person who dared to go through this must be a mental person because the pain one goes through is clearly something beyond one's limits.

The simpler idea about this manual is like splitting one's body in two and let the two halves grow back in time, making them more powerful due to the fact of surviving such a trauma.

When finally the two parts were the same or better than the original, they could be placed on top of each other, overwriting each other, and becoming one again.

The end product would be something that would be at least 2 times stronger than the original specimen. The difference and the scariest thing in this case though was the fact that what was split was the soul.

The soul is the very essence of one being, and existence. Take Tianlong Yun for example, his soul transmigrated and occupied this body, as he recultivated, he changed his body and cultivation.

But if the soul had been the one to die, or disappear then he would be exactly like the previous owner of this body, a goner, as his body would either spoil and rot or be taken by someone else.

This manual was dangerous, but that was only if he wasn't careful during the split, as long as he was careful during it, nothing bad would happen to him.

He was confident of himself being able to properly, and erroneously cultivate according to the manual. As with that determination and resolve, he started having a look at the manual.

The partial soul he had just 'consumed', it belonged to a poor viscount, and the most he had from the cultivation manual was the first 2 levels.

In the first two levels were introduced the way in which one could split his soul without much pain, and also the requirements to pass the first two levels.

There was also a lot of information regarding herbs and pills that were useful for the soul enrichment, and regeneration for these two levels.

Tianlong Yun couldn't wait to sit down and start cultivating with this manual, but there was a bad premonition inside his soul.

Even though this was the first time he read something related to the soul cultivation, he could still feel like there was something missing.

While that might be something small, or some little detail, he felt like what was missing was something really important, and he would regret it if he did it without finding what it was.

No matter how important and how useful this manual was for him, Tianlong Yun decided not to use it as of now, and believe in his instincts.

This however let another big problem crop out, where was he supposed to find a complete form of the manual?

If the people in power wanted to protect their power, and rule it was truly a wise idea to give incomplete manuals to their vassals.

This way they would never be able to reach their strength or power, and would always be forced to stand down.

With this logic, the only people who had a complete form of the manual were most probably only the City Lords of the 13 fortress cities.

Going to take such a manual from them was clearly a stupid idea, not only were they surrounded by a lot of guards and security, but each one of them could turn Tianlong Yun into a puppet or slave with one thought.

It was clearly trying to take the food from a Dragon's mouth, when you were only a tiny lizard or chicken, your chances of success would be zero, and you would probably end as an appetizer to their food.

This truly made Tianlong Yun a bit depressed, but then he thought of something else, and his depressed mood relieved almost immediately.

The City Lords weren't the only ones to have the complete manual, there was one more person who held the most complete form of it, the Soul God himself.

He had already decided to go through the nightmare forest, and look for the inheritance of the Soul God, surely the complete manual would be part of that inheritance, otherwise, it would be meaningless.

With this new line of thoughts, he started looking more into the soul techniques that these guys possessed.

There were three such ones that caught Tianlong Yun's attention, the first was the 'soul bombing technique' in this case one could use his soul power into small explosive materials, and plant them inside the target's soul.

Of course, this was possible only if the attacker had a much higher soul power than the target and places them forcefully, or places them while the target had its guard down.

In both cases, the explosive materials would be controlled by the person placing them there, and he could decide to explode them immediately or later on.

It was like placing a small bomb close to a normal mortal's heart. You had control over the bomb, and also the person's existence.

The second skill was called the 'puppeteering soul technique' and from its name, one could easily understand its use. It was to turn someone into a puppet.

Different from the technique that Tianlong Yun used, this technique didn't need a cleansed wrathful soul, it just needed to be used in a short time of 15 minutes after the target's death.

During this time, while the soul had disappeared from the body, its sea of conscience was still existent, and if one could heal the wounds on the body.

Then he could place a partial soul inside that sea of conscience and adapt the two according to the technique, turning the body into a total puppet of the main soul, while keeping its earlier conscience.

Of course with the pass of time, the puppet would change a few of its behaviors due to the adaptation of the new partial soul inside it, but still, it was nonetheless a puppet.

This clearly had its own benefits, as Tianlong Yun wouldn't have to tire himself to turn these people into wrathful souls, but most importantly they would look like living people.

His puppets, even though loyal, still could be easily noticed of being puppets as they had no soul or just a completely white soul with no information.

While the puppets of the soul race, could not be differentiated from normal cultivators, and beings. This technique was truly useful to Tianlong Yun.

The third and last technique was the 'soul slaving' technique, while it had the same principles as the technique that Tianlong Yun was using, this technique was more complete and foolproof.

With his previous technique, if the enslaved person or cultivator had a strong willpower, or if his soul suddenly exploded with enormous power, the seal could be lifted or destroyed.

But with the 'soul slaving' technique he was able to even let a small soul imprint on the soul avatar of the enslaved person.

And no matter how much the enslaved person tried to lift the seal or destroy it, it would never happen, even if for some weird reason it happened then the enslaved person would surely either die or become a retard.

It was worth mentioning that this technique was even more stealthy than his own, as it hid inside the enslaved person's own soul, so it would be much more useful for him.

This time Tianlong Yun had made a haul, and this was just the start of it…
