"I see no logical choice other than this."

With his statement, Gray chooses the <Sustenance> Discipline of the Arcanist class, clicking the said icon right in the Skill box.

After a short while, the Elf suddenly felt a significant shift of his Arcane Energy deep inside his body.

One moment, he was radiating with bloodlust. Being an Arcanist, the sheer amount of magical energy flowing within him has perhaps altered his personality a bit, making him prone to anger easily as evident by his desire of murdering every rabbit that he is going to encounter on the surrounding vicinity of the forest just because of one of them gnawing his hand off from his arm.

But now, it's a different story.

The moment that he begins his path to <Sustenance>, his growing insanity was suddenly subsided, his Arcane Energy now being tamed as he acquired better control of his magic thanks to the said Discipline.

Gray in an instant, felt calm just like that. Before, his Arcane Energy inside is shaking with violent fury, ready to burst anytime if he fails to tame its unrestricted power. But now, the magic has turn tranquil. Although retaining its destructive capabilities, it won't be going out of control anytime soon as Gray initially fears when he chose this class.

As a matter of fact, his craving for Rabbit genocide is now gone, tempered by his determination to keep his newly-acquired powers at bay.

The main reason why he chose <Sustenance> over <Annihilation> is that he could see the clear advantages over the latter. Sure, the <Annihilation> is no doubt, very powerful, emphasizing raw magical power over its Discipline counterpart. But Gray could see that the downsides are detrimental to his liking.

If he is going to start his adventure in this fantasy world, he must at least make the right choices where the populace won't be starting a manhunt on him anytime soon. Such unnecessary factors may just hinder his enjoyment in this exciting playthrough.

Sure, other players may enjoy roleplaying into a Power-hungry crazed maniac where they take pleasure in killing every being that they see, but not Gray. Even in games, he still upholds a decent sense of morality, choosing every good choice as much as he can.

Of course, he also admits that he shares some moments of mischiefs, but not necessarily evil, maybe just Chaotic. He could also use a good prank and laugh every once in a while.

Being in this world that is very real, Gray finds only advantageous if he gets along with the good citizens of Silverhart, starting his adventure with the right and reasonable choice of Discipline.

<SYSTEM NOTIFICATION!!>

"Because of your rational thinking and good judgment, you gain +5 Good and +3 Order!!"

Gray blinks in a slight surprise at seeing the text box that suddenly pops out of nowhere. Because of this, the boy remembered something.

"Morality," Gray uttered quietly. "It appears this world also has a system to determine if a player is morally good or evil, just like Dungeons & Dragons. Although, they change the names slightly a bit, with Order being Lawful and Chaos being Chaotic if I'm not mistaken."

His curiosity piqued, Gray also remembers that he can check his exact Morality points on the Character icon.

Gray then navigates through Character icon and clicks the word Morality that is displayed. Another textbox suddenly pops out as a result.

(+) <Good> ------- (+5) ----------<Evil> (-)

(+) <Order>--------- (-2) ---------<Chaos> (-)

Morality: <Neutral>

Note: Your Morality will change when it reaches 30.

"I see." Gray nods in understanding of seeing the information. "This certainly increases the immersion of the game, with every person having their own morality. I wonder if there are certain advantages and restrictions that compliments with this system?"

As Gray ponders further about this, he ultimately decided to not think too much about it since he'll just find out sooner or later during his adventures.

Besides, he still has a quest to complete, having slain 4 out of the 20 required Rabbits.

Gray now ventures forth deep into the forest, finding more rabbits to slay. Instead of being rage driven, the boy's motivations for his actions turn rational, opting to do this only for the sake of completing the quest assigned to him.

After a short while, the boy spots another 4 rabbits from an opening as he hides on a bush nearby.

Gray then surprises the litters with three charges of <Arcane Bolt> killing one of them in an instant.

The rabbits didn't even know where the attack came from, instantly sniffing as they attempt to scour for the culprit who killed their fellow herd mate seemingly out of nowhere.

Gray repeated this effective and sneaky tactic of his, waiting for his 3 charges of Arcane bolt to replenish and fires all of it when its off cooldown.

And just like that, another 4 rabbits are down for the count, awarding him with more rabbit meats, and gold coins. He also gains another 220 EXP for his efforts, each Rabbit worth 55 EXP.

Seemingly, the Rabid Rabbits are always in a group, consisting of about 3 – 5 of them.

He continues this for some time, blasting off the small critters with his <Arcane bolt>. When the rabbits attempt to close the gap between him in order to unleash their deadly sharp fangs, Gray simply Blinks himself away and runs off while keeping himself from a distance while firing his basic Arcane attacks from his Mage staff. If Arcane bolt is available, he prioritizes its uses since its significantly more powerful than his basic attacks.

Additionally, Gray uses his <Arcanaphilia> on the last rabbit of his every encounter since he'll just be interrupted if the rabbit still has its allies. His endeavors of each feeding granted him a permanent +5 bonus on his base Mana.

In total, he had about 6 encounters during his rabbit hunt including the first one, thus now having +30 permanent Mana points.

Mana is definitely not an issue for him since he has <Spell Weaver> which reduces his spell costs by 20%. That and after each battle, Mana Regeneration kicks in automatically a bit faster. Additionally, his racial skill, <Rite of Al-kael> is also an option but he won't be using it recklessly since it can only be used once per 12 hours.

Speaking of Mana Regeneration, it is indeed slower while in combat since you are exposed to the pressure of battle. After the battle though, a Mage is on a state of rest, gaining faster Mana Regeneration as he prepares for another possible skirmish.

After finally ridding of the 20 rabbits, a notification again appears in front of his eyes.

<SYSTEM NOTIFICATION!!>

"Congratulations on defeating the 20 Rabid Rabbits mortal. For that, you are awarded an additional +500 XP for your valiant efforts!!"

"When Gray receives his reward, a white flash of light suddenly greets him below as it burst slightly before ultimately disappearing.

"LEVEL UP!!"

"YOU RECEIVED 5 ATTRIBUTE POINTS!!"

"YOU RECEIVED 1 ABILITY POINT!!"

Gray nodded in understanding as he clicks the CHARACTER icon to spend his rewards.
