Chapter 296: A Deal Between Lovers?

"Whatever I want?" She mumbled those words as they genuinely piqued her interest.
"Yeah. Go and sleep around with as many guys as you want. Cheat on me or whatever I don't really care to be honest with you."
"What the…" Dumbfounded Suzuha stared at the laughing figure of Saishi. He lifted his index finger and said, "But at one condition, or we are breaking up right now."
"What in the devil is wrong with you?"
She couldn't make sense of Saishi's behaviour. The guy standing before her was like never seen before. There was a chaotic smile plastered on his face. He wasn't calm and collected anymore, instead he appeared untamed.
"Everything. Is that even a question?" He chuckled. Her brain couldn't comprehend what was happening as she asked, "I don't understand, what the hell? What are you talking about?"
Noticing her terrified and creeped out by him, he recalled an event of the past and laughed, "Don't worry, you aren't the first one. So anyways, I've a proposal for you."
"What?"
"As I said, you can do as you please, but I've a condition. Otherwise I'm breaking up with you." I stared at her, still pushing her buttons. She lunged at him, "You think I care about you breaking up with me? You should be thankful that I gave someone like you a chance."
"Ah very well then, we have nothing to talk about. I'll just go and find another girl, and you can do the same as well." Saishi found this rather hilarious. With a slight smile on his face, he turned around and started walking.
"As if you're going to get any girls." She mumbled while looking at the figure of him walking away. Without even a hint of remorse for what he did, the smile on his face ticked her off.
"Hey! Come back!" She yelled and paced towards him, "You can't just go off like that! I'm talking with you, don't ignore me!"
"What happened? You have boys waiting in line to be with you. Why are you worried?" He turned around to see her flustered face radiating with rage.
"Why are you doing this to me?" She asked while grabbing a hold of his arm. He turned around and stared at her before replying calmly, "Why? Maybe because it's fun?"
"What… What is fun?"
Suzuha's mind was restless like the ocean during a storm. She could feel that everything regarding that situation was wrong and contemplated her terrible decision to meet him.
"I don't know. Maybe the face you made when you thought I had no idea about what you did on Christmas Eve? Or maybe the face you made when you realised I knew everything and was just playing with you." He said in a soft tone.
Suzuha's eyes grew wide in shock. Feeling defiled and lost, she stared at him with an irritated glance and yelled, "Just tell me! Don't play with me, you weirdo!"
There was striking silence between them and her high pitched voice seemed to resonate around the empty park. Saishi clicked his tongue and turned around, "Do you wanna be with me that bad?"
"Just what the hell do you want?"
"What do I want? I don't think you can fulfill that wish of mine."
He pulled his arm, dragging Suzuha who was holding his arm closer to him as well. His eyes peirced into her as he said in a cold voice, "Or can you? I have been holding back on you for quite some time now."
"What do you mean by that? What is wrong with you?" Suzuha quickly let go his arm and stepped back.
He could see the baffled look on her face. Her eyes were wavering. Repetition of thoughts inside her mind, but none made it through her mouth into words. She could've walked away from that situation without paying any heed to him.
But he was the one, who got her in the palm of his hands.
Saishi stared at her with an indifferent look in dark eyes, as he continued, "I'm not like the other guys you've dated before, Suzuha. If I want something, I'll achieve it through whatever means necessary."
"I… I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done it. It's all my fault." She thought apology was the only way out that turmoil.
"You're shallower than I thought." He looked at her flustered cheeks and chuckled, "You're surely intriguing. You wanna know what the deal is?"
"Yes!" She nodded her head in much desperation. Saishi tilted his head with a slight smile and presented, "You can do anything you want but in return don't pry into my life. I'll be going after girls and I don't want to see you interfering in that."
His messy hair hung freely towards the side his head was tilted. The stretched tendons of his neck exposed his moving voice box.
Suzuha narrowed her eyes and asked, "What the heck? How is that a deal?!"
"Well it's good. Since you only want to keep this relationship to maintain your status quo, it'll benefit us both. You can do what you want without worrying about me and the same for me while being with each other simultaneously."
"Never expected you to be such a piece of shit." Suzuha said after a longing silence. Saishi let out a laughter and quipped, "Tell me something I don't know."
"So it's basically we can cheat on each other?"
"Basically."
"Sounds like a good plan. But you mustn't talk about this to anyone." Suzuha said hesitantly while looking at the diabolical smile on his lips.
"I expect the same from you." Saishi again specified with a cold stare, "And keep in mind to not interfere. Otherwise it wouldn't be good for you or this status you wanna keep.
Suzuha calmed down a bit but his proposal still sounded too good to be true. And it was suspicious as well considering her own boyfriend was proposing an idea like that.. She couldn't fully put her faith into him, but she had no choice other than adiding him.
