Looking down from the cliff, Qi Bei strained his eyes but could not penetrate the swirling mist below.

Judging from the surrounding clues, this was undoubtedly the place where Yan Fangfei and Xiao Jiu fell off the cliff.

“Young master, I’ll go down and take a look,” Huan Ying said.

“Okay, be careful,” Qi Bei nodded. Huan Ying was the most agile and fastest of them all, so she was the best suited for the job.

Huan Ying disappeared quickly down the cliff as if walking on level ground, leaving Qi Bei and the others behind.

“This is the Devil’s Cliff, isn’t it?” Sa Lingling exclaimed, surprised as she looked around.

“The Devil’s Cliff? Do you know anything about it?” Qi Bei asked. He knew nothing about this strange cliff, so if she knew something, it would be helpful.

“I only heard about it from adventurers. They say that there’s no light of sun, moon, or stars on this cliff, and that the bottom is the devil’s paradise. Ordinary people cannot enter, only those chosen by the devil can go in, and those who do will be forever trapped there and will eventually become devils themselves,” Sa Lingling explained.

Qi Bei looked up. The cliff was so high that he couldn’t even see the sun. It was as if a veil had been draped over the sky, and it was truly eerie.

Soon, Huan Ying returned at lightning speed and said, “Young master, there is an invisible force blocking the way down, just as the two disciples from the Beast Manor said. I tried my best, but I couldn’t get past it.”

Qi Bei pondered. If they couldn’t get down, how did Yan Fangfei and Xiao Jiu manage to get down? He didn’t believe in the idea of being chosen by the devil.

Then he saw the shattered cave on the cliff wall. According to Xiao Li, Yan Fangfei and Xiao Jiu were pushed all the way by the Snow Lynx from a distance and then broke through the wall before falling off the cliff.

“Jump,” Qi Bei suddenly said, “I’ll jump from here without using my battle qi wings or body technique. If I don’t come up, you guys jump too. Huan Ying, take care of Sa Lingling, and Thirteen, take care of Jin Gang. When we can see the bottom, we’ll slowly descend.”

“Yes,” the four of them replied in unison.

Qi Bei drew in a deep breath before leaping forward, relinquishing control over his body and letting himself freefall.

The sound of wind whistled in his ears, and Qi Bei’s speed was getting faster and faster as he fell.

Suddenly, he felt like he broke through a thin film when he passed a certain point above him.

Soon, Qi Bei could see the grass and trees at the bottom of the cliff. At the same time, waves of scorching heat rushed towards him.

Above was a world of ice and snow, but the bottom of the cliff was filled with rolling heat waves, as if he was in a huge furnace.

Qi Bei used his internal energy to slow down his falling speed. Even without qi wings, his body lightly landed on the ground.

Qi Bei instinctively sensed the danger here and suppressed his breath. The large beast carcasses and footprints around him all indicated that there were huge monsters lurking here.

Just then, Qi Bei’s scanning gaze was frozen as he spotted a shiny blue earring in the grass. He remembered that it was an item worn by Yan Fangfei on her ear.

Next to the earring, there were traces of overwhelming grass and a circle of dripping blood, but there were no traces of magical attacks, indicating that both of them were still alive and kicking when they fell.

Qi Bei breathed a sigh of relief, as long as Xiao Jiu was still alive, it was good.

He thought for a moment, then leapt up and began to move towards the top of the cliff.

However, he felt that he couldn’t reach the height where he broke through the film during his fall.

In other words, this was the reason why Yan Fangfei and Xiao Jiu didn’t go back up when they were not in danger.

Qi Bei returned to the bottom of the cliff, waiting for the arrival of the rest of his team.

But just then, his heart skipped a beat as the ground shook, and he sensed a terrifying presence was rapidly approaching.

Qi Bei hid in the shadow of a huge rock on the cliff, blending his entire body with the shadow.

Suddenly, a huge head emerged from the side of a big tree, with huge nostrils exhaling smoke with a fiery heat.

“A dinosaur…” Qi Bei was shocked for a moment. How could a dinosaur breathe fire?

In fact, this was not a dinosaur, but a type of sub-dragon called an Iron-Armored Dragon, a seventh-level magic beast. It had evolved into a new subspecies and was now called an Iron-Armored Fire Dragon, an eighth-level magic beast, equivalent to a peak-level expert.

Qi Bei looked up at the top of the cliff. Jin Gang and the rest of them were probably about to come down. Once they arrived, wouldn’t they become the feast of this giant creature?

Qi Bei swung his sword and carved two words “wait for me” on the cliff.

Immediately, he leaped up with great speed, and a stone hit the nose of the Iron-Armored Fire Dragon, which looked like a dinosaur.

The big guy was instantly angered. How dare a tiny reptile come and challenge the king?

“Roar…” The Iron-Armored Fire Dragon roared and chased after Qi Bei, at the same time spitting out a flame that shot out like a giant arrow.

Qi Bei turned his head and cursed. He activated the Wild Dragon battle qi to the extreme, and two golden wings sprouted from his back, increasing his speed several times as he weaved left and right.

However, the flame that the Iron-Armored Fire Dragon spewed seemed to have a life of its own, circling around Qi Bei, reminding him of the heat-seeking missiles from his past life.

As the flame passed, giant trees and rocks exploded one after another.

“Haha, big guy, I’m not playing with you anymore.” Qi Bei saw that the Iron-Armored Fire Dragon had chased him out of the cliff and shouted, his body emitting a black light as he released the Dark Escape Technique sealed within his jewelry, turning into a black light and diving into the ground.

The Iron-Armored Fire Dragon roared, stomping hard on the ground, causing the earth to shake violently, and the mud and rocks beneath the ground were mixed together like in a blender.

With a “boom,” a crack opened up in the distance, and dirt spurted out like a fountain, along with Qi Bei.

“What the hell, was that necessary? My hundred or so pounds are not enough to fill your teeth.” Qi Bei yelled loudly as he hung upside down from a huge tree.

The Iron-Armored Fire Dragon seemed to understand, stopping in front of the tree where Qi Bei was perched, staring at him with its huge eyes, nostrils exhaling hot smoke.

Qi Bei rubbed his bald head, his golden hair having been electrocuted black by the Thunder Prison Art of the Dream Sea’s mage. He shaved it all off, making his bald head shinier than Iron Head.

“It looks like we can still communicate.” Qi Bei thought to himself, about to say something when the huge creature’s gaze suddenly changed. Qi Bei’s heart trembled, and he instantly shot down from the tree.

And at that moment, the Iron-Armored Fire Dragon’s big mouth missed its target.

This is just unfair. Dinosaurs can play dirty too!
