Happy. That was I. Excited for what was to come as well. But also a bit bummed out he didn’t play along.

Kicking the chair I just stood so that it slid over the ground a bit, I started getting rid of my mantle, my shoes and gloves, as well as my long, black dress. Afterwards, I threw it all over my chair alongside one of my daggers still secured to the scabbard. The other one was in my right hand at this point and drew circles in the air.

“What is this?” Finally, the pope of death had noticed himself. While I strolled over to him once more in my underwear, he was touching his right hand in confusion.

“This is a magical circle to link senses with another person. I was apparently able to customise it successfully, so that I don’t feel you and you don’t have my vision.” For the first time, the pope showed something like unease which was exactly what I needed.

“That’s impossible.” He muttered but still kept massaging the very spot here it was proven.

“Everything is always impossible until it is done.” Gripping the dagger a bit tighter, I stood in front of him white a slight smile on my face.

“… even then, it is still hardly possible to torture me this way.” He said while frowning. “You have to be insane to use your pain against me, if you even stay alive during it.” He honestly made me laugh out loud. I was so thrilled about his conclusion that just couldn’t help myself.

“My holiness, even though our underground organisation is nothing but prestigious and even honest on the surface, we aren’t. You only trusted our word somewhat because we never broke it before, or rather because nobody knew we lied. Trust me, in no way are we some priestesses who strayed from the path of justice. We are crazy.” I placed the flat side of the dagger on my chest and slowly went downwards. Finally, he bit his lower lips for the first time and his muscles tensed up.

The tip of the dagger went further and further downwards until it was right beside my navel. Only then did I lift the handle up and smiled brightly. That view he gave me was truly something else. Hands gripping his armrests tightly, and yet in no shape to fight back against what I was doing. He wasn’t very fit to begin with so that was to be excused.

Giggling crazily, I slowly pushed the blade into my flesh and enjoyed all the pain shooting through my body. Only my fucked up brain felt pleasure from it, but his certainly didn’t. He began screaming the moment the pain flooded his nervous system and held his belly in pain.

But he wasn’t the only one affected. I fell on my knees, giggling like crazy but still staring at the pope. Only as he somewhat calmed down did I push the dagger deeper until the very hilt. Blood seeped out of the wound giving me the excitement I craved.

For half a minute, I enjoyed all of that while poking around in the wound itself. Only after I got a grip of my own happiness did I pull the dagger out and smiled brightly towards him.

“See? I won’t die from this much.” I exclaimed and stood up once more. My bloodied belly was right in front of him as he lifted his head up weakly.

“… my name is Patt Rosenwald. I am the pope of dea-“ Screaming and giggling filled the room once more as I rammed the dagger into my thigh as deeply as I could.

“Now you are making this fun.” He was resisting, that was for sure. Sadly for him though, it was highly questionable if he could hold out for a whole week.

The first sings of his crumbling resistance started to appear after several minutes already as I was just cutting my lower arm open.

“Stop …” He said, clearly exhausted by all the screaming and trashing around. The best part was though that he was still completely unharmed.

“Oh? We had just started through.” I turned the dagger around in my hands and drew a thin line of blood across my neck which he was visibly uncomfortably with.

“What do you want?” He mumbled quietly and finally cleaned his lips of all the saliva.

“Why are you like this? I though we had just bonded together and now you are giving up on trying to deepen our relationship? You are hurting my feelings.” I said unhappily and placed the tip of the dagger right above my heart.

“YOU ARE CRAZY! Completely and utterly insane. But I suppose a demon wouldn’t know that.” That made me angry. For real though.

“Don’t lump me together with these animals. My species lived on this planet since the dawn of time and isn´t the result of senseless mutations. And even though we aren’t exactly many right now, we aren’t stopped by some stupid river we are to dumb to cross over.” I hissed at him and rammed the dagger brutally into my own heart. Once more, blood spilt out of the wound, accompanying the puddle at my bare feet. “You know what? I think I need a break from you. You are insufferable if you aren’t screaming.” Squinting my eyes, I looked at him one last time before turning to the iron door and knocking against it.

To my surprise though, that door wasn’t even locked and swung open as I pressed against it. Behind it was a slightly smaller room, filled with bottles of blood. I wasn’t willing to lick up my blood on the floor, so it was obvious that I needed this. It was animal blood though which did allow me to calm down somewhat during my little break. I never told him I would be gone for a long time, so I strolled back, opened the iron door once more and grinned happily.

The pope of death stood in the middle of the room, armed with a dagger he must had hidden somewhere. He was staring at me warily and luckily had the tip of the blade directed towards me, not himself.

“You want a fight? Give me your best.” I said and chuckled happily. I made one more step into the room, barely stepping onto the circle and then opened my arms wide.

“Fireball!” He shouted loudly and … waited. Confused, he looked towards his empty hand while I held my belly laughingly.

“Imagine shouting the name of your attack out loud and then realising you made a fool out of yourself as nothing happened. So that was your best? Pathetic. Stabby stabby!” I exclaimed, switched the dagger into my right hand and did exactly as I said. Stabbing into my right wrist did have the exact effect I was hoping for as his dagger fell onto the ground within seconds. I merely needed to stroll there, slide it out of the vicinity with my foot and hold my dagger at my neck once more.

“Please, have mercy.” He muttered and stumbled away from me.

“Your predecessor didn’t have any as he forced me to murder my friend.” I growled angrily. That I lost my friend two hundred years ago still made me sad and furious at the same time.

“I don’t know what you are talking about.” Then he should probably study the history of his church more … or realise who I was.

“No, you don’t and that’s incredibly saddening. Did you know I was itching to get revenge on him, but couldn’t do so? I heard all they did was to hang him which was very merciful. But whatever, you earned the spirit of the pope of death I knew, so I guess you will do as well.” I mumbled and started to cut my skin open once more.

“Please …” He squealed and held his throat in pain. Sadly, that only incentivised me to cut a little bit deeper at least until he fell on his knees right in front of me.

“Woah … that’s disappointing. What happened to your cocky altitude?” He was ruining this experience for me by giving up already. And that simply wasn’t fair after he had such a promising take on the situation in the beginning.

“What do you want?” He repeated once more. He wasn’t a broken man yet, but he was on a good way to become one. Too early in my humble opinion. Way too early.

And especially as the grown man in front of me began to tear up, I just felt sickened by his lacking perseverance. He was such a promising candidate, but now he already needed a break. Sighing loudly, I squatted down a little and pulled his head into my embrace. His breath tickled my bloodied skin right between my breasts as I patted his back soothingly while discarding my dagger to the side.

He didn’t deny my approaches at all, but rather wept in my embrace pathetically. I could understand him somewhat though. I also found myself time and time again in Aska´s embrace, especially after a fight between us, or in my childhood, after he pained me. And just like Aska, I wouldn’t hurt the pope during that time. It helped in keeping a reasonable healthy mind which was also a necessity for me. He would be of no use if he couldn’t articulate himself after I was done with him.

And so, I kindly patted his back at least until he shoved me away from him. But that was already to be expected. His mind was muddled already due to the pain, but not that much.

“Is it too early for skinship?” I asked and tilted my head a little.

“I will never enjoy touching someone like you.” He said while standing up once more, albeit slowly.

“Really? I have my doubts about your claim. It’s not uncommon for the captive to feel some kind of connection with their captor, especially when they feel exactly the same stuff.” I said and caressed my own sides. He must have felt weird feeling how I gently touched his own skin, even though my hands was metres away from him.

“Stop that.” He said and pinched his sides to overwrite whatever he felt from me. Giggling quietly, I picked up my dagger once more and held it above my hips, pointed directly at my skin. “Anything but that.” His eyes were wide open as I poked my sides once more.

“Oh, what do you want to do? Hit me?” I asked full of sadism and stabbed pushed the blade a bit deeper. He was already jerking away from me as if that would help him to escape the pain.

“Just … tell me what you want.” He repeated himself rather often and it was always what I wanted. The thing was that I wanted exactly this.

“We both want the same. We want you to meet your god. It is just that I don’t want you to return to tell the tale.” I giggled quite happily as the dagger stabbed through a few of my organs and pulled it out swiftly with a swath of fresh blood. “I want you to suffer more than I did under your predecessor and honestly? I also want you to deliver a message to Askatesh. Tell him not to fuck around with my world. Okay?”

The pope nodded weakly and then, out of nowhere, stormed towards the other dagger. Sadly for him though, I wasn’t exactly new to fighting and thus ran into his path, kicked his legs and grabbed his collar so that he wouldn’t fall down and hurt himself.

“Great, and now I have to restrain you.” That  night was the beginning of a lot of fun. And by a lot, I mean a lot of fun. A week of ruining myself for the sake of hurting him was truly a thrilling adventure. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t say that it was good for my sanity either … it was just that I couldn’t fall any lower than this.
