Ryn's eyes looked around wildly, hoping she could find something to help her escape from this. Just anything.

But she could not think of anything.

Both Mrs Long and Mika leaned forward eagerly.

Ryn sighed. Her shoulders dropped. Could she keep this from them? Mika was after all her best friend. She did feel guilty keeping this a secret but this best friend of hers quite blabbermouth and hard to keep a secret to herself.

"Ryn?" Mika asked when she saw the struggle in her friend's face. Why was Ryn being so reluctant so much?

"Catherine, dear?" Mrs Long asked as well. But somehow she could guess it. She could not stop grinning widely.

Ryn sighed again. Her head lowered slightly as she nodded.

Mika jumped to her feet, screaming loudly. She jumped into Ryn's arms and screamed more.

"Ah… you're hurting my ears. Stop it, Mika," Ryn groaned but her cheeks were already red with shyness.

"Well… well… well…" Mrs Long almost choked with tears. Finally, the moment she and her family had been waiting for. The silly couple was finally together back. Her children finally found their other halves.

Jeremy who was unaware that Ryn finally broke the news about their relationship went into his room and switched on the computer. Jacob just forwarded him the e-mails from his clients and he needed to check it first before Jacob could proceed. His lips curled into a thin line as he narrowed his eyes. His fingers were busy typing on the computer as he replied to the email once he finished reading them.

Mika squealed in delight as she hugged Ryn tightly. She was so happy and excited. Finally, the moment she was waiting for.

"I am so happy, Ryn, so happy."

"Well…" Ryn choked out, "I am happy too but babe, let go. I can't breathe."

She looked at Mrs Long, hoping for some help but it seemed like she was bound for disappointment. The elder woman was looking at her rather impatiently. Her eyes were shone brightly. Mrs Long was even fidgeting in her excitement. She was waiting for her turn to congratulate the young lady.

Ryn finally managed to finally entangle herself from Mika. She scooted a bit to put a little space between herself and Mika, blowing a relief sigh. Her ears were stung from the scream and squeal and she rubbed them.

"I am so happy for the two of you," it was Mrs Long's turn to squeal as she hugged her future daughter-in-law. She hugged the younger lady so tight, Ryn was chocked again.

"Aunty," Ryn choked out, again trying to free herself from the hug.

Mrs Long peppered kisses on Ryn's face in her happiness. Then, she continued her hugging with a squeal, just like Mika.

Mika was fidgeting beside her.

She jumped back to her feet and rushed out. She was acting like a little girl right now.

Celebration. They needed to celebrate this.

The butler was standing not far from the corridor when she bumped into him. His bushy eyebrows lifted in a puzzle when the younger woman grabbed his hands and squealed.

"Young… Mistress?" the butler asked.

"We are having a party tonight. A celebration," Mika announced loudly.

"A celebration for what, Young Mistress? For how many guests? Do you want to do it in the living room, the ding room or at the pool?" the butler asked. He was unaware of the news revealed by Miss Catherine. He was busy ordering the maids to clean up the dining room and to prepare for lunch. He just returned from the said room and just waited outside the living room, not entering the area yet because he wanted to take a few deep breaths. Today was quite a hectic day for him with preparing for the double breakfast, and then welcoming Miss Catherine 'home'.

"A celebration for… let see…" Mika looked at her fingers, counting loudly, "father, mother, Jason, me of course, Jeremy and Ryn… oh yes, grandmother as well."

"So it's a family celebration. I see. What kind of theme are you thinking of? Oriental? Western? Gatsby? Old Hollywood? Hollywood? Egyptian?"

Mika opened her mouth before closing it back. A theme? She just wanted a celebration. She did not care what type of theme they were having as long as they could celebrate tonight. She paused and looked back toward the living room. Then, she looked back at the older man with a firm nod. "I want a western style. Ryn would love to have more steaks so prepare more steaks."

"Would you like some cake to go with it?" the butler asked, busy jotting down Mika's information.

"Of course. Red velvet please."

"Red velvet."

"In heart shape. Two tiers. Hmm… make it a chocolate ganache cake for the first tier and red velvet for the second tier.

"Certainly, Young Mistress," the butler replied, furiously writing down the instruction.

"Good. What's for lunch?" Mika asked, already changing the topic.

"For the lunch, the cook is preparing beef stew, fish cooked in sweet and spicy sauce, vegetable stir fry, eggplant in spicy sauce and black chicken soup with ginseng."

Mika twitched her lips at the list of the menu. Black chicken soup with ginseng? So not her taste at all. It must be under her grandma's order.

"Oh yes, where is that brother of mine?" she asked, now changing to another topic.

"What's up? Looking for me?" Jeremy asked as he walked down the stairs. He frowned seeing the excitement in Mika's face. And then, he was shocked silly when his silly little sister jumped into his arms. Luckily he managed to catch her or she would fall down.

"What are you doing, silly? Are you nuts? Do you know how dangerous it is to throw yourself while on stairs?" he asked, helping her getting down but she refused.

She even wrapped her legs around his, refused to get down. She hugged him tight, resting her chin on his right shoulder.

"Why didn't you tell me?" she asked.

"Tell you what?" he asked her back, still clueless with what happened in the living room without him.

"Tell me about you… about you and Ryn," Mika cried.

"About what? What's between us?" Jeremy acted dumb. He did not want to be tricked by his little sister. Besides, it was better for him to know what was going on before he said anything.

"Big brother," Mika gasped, blinking her big eyes at him. How could he still pretend when everyone already knew about this matter? How long could he hide the fact?

"Hmm?" Jeremy put her down and patted her head in a brotherly manner. Then, he moved to walk to the living room. He wanted to know what exactly happened? What did Ryn tell them?

When he reached the huge living room, he saw his mother hugging Ryn. He cocked an eyebrow, puzzled with this scenery. He opened his mouth to speak but cancelled the plan. It did not seem suitable to break the atmosphere, albeit how weird it felt.

Jeremy stood there, waiting awkwardly there while hoping for his girlfriend could help giving him any hint or signal.

"Ooh… I am so glad you two are finally together… together back," Mrs Long choked out. She was actually crying in happiness, much to Ryn's horror.

Ryn's horrific eyes caught Jeremy's eyes and she wished he could help her. This… how should she continue with this? She never thought to make Jeremy's mother in tears. Was the news too… hard to handle?

What should she do now?

"Well… what's this, mother? Are you crying? Has something bothering you?" Jeremy finally spoke. He walked toward them with his hands in his pockets. He gave his cheekiest smile.

"Oh, Jeremy, my silly son," Mrs Long choked out. She finally released Ryn from her embrace and went to hug her son.

Jeremy's eyes widened. What was going on right now?

"They knew," with a heavy sigh, Ryn confessed.

"You told them?" Jeremy asked her.

"What can I do? They surrounded me," Ryn shrugged.

"Oh, why are you two so far way? Come… come… sit next to each other." Mrs Long pulled her son to sit beside Ryn. Then, she stepped back and clasped her hands over her heart and cooed.

"Well, this is weird," Jeremy whispered at Ryn's ear while trying to maintain his nonchalance expression.

"Tell me about it," she whispered back, also maintaining her smile, a very awkward smile.

Mika joined into the living room, skipping happily. Her eyes sparkled seeing the newly reconciled couple sitting together. She wanted to join them, sitting on the same sofa but her mother quickly stopped her.

"Mother," Mika wailed.

"Sit over here," her mother instructed, pushing her toward another sofa.

"But why?" Mika did not understand why she was forced to sit at another sofa. Wasn't there another space there, just beside Ryn? Why couldn't she sit over there? Why must she sit here?
