Ryn ended the call and sighed heavily. Oh God, she did not expect this when she called him back. She thought they were over with this once he knew she was together with Jeremy. And most importantly, she never once gave any sign to Harry that she has any feeling toward him. Nonesoever.

So why was he still not giving up? Why hasn't he received the 'memo'?

This was driving her crazy.

Not only she has to face Jeremy's childish tantrum, she also has to face Harry and his feeling.

She let the phone go on the couch and stood up. She grabbed the glass and went to the kitchen. She refilled the glass and drank it slowly just to calm herself. That was a weird and awkward conversation with Harry.

She leaned against the counter and twirled the glass slowy, watching as the water sloching around.

Harry.

They were just friends and colleagues. And there was a possibility for them to work together in gigs and she did not want them to be awkward with each other.

And to think she was the kind of person who did not care what others thought about her but when it came to Harry, she was eager to solve this matter quickly.

She sighed. She guessed she has changed now.

She drank two glasses of water before she returned to the living room. Instead of sitting back on the couch for the second phone call, she grabbed her phone and walked to her gym.

She simply switched on the light and air-conditioner. She also switched on the treadmill. She put the phone into the slot. She untied her hair and tied her hair into a higher bun. She put on the stocking and sneakers she left at the corner of the room and started to run.

Maybe running could clear her mind.

Half an hour later, with her body wet with sweat, she walked into the kitchen to fill a bottle of water. Then, she returned as she drank the bottle breathlessly. Once she was satisfied, she put the bottle into another slot and grabbed a small towel to wipe her face, her neck and even her head. And then, she wrapped the towel around her neck and continued her running despite she was breathing so loudly. She was exhausted but still was not ready to stop.

She still felt trapped and needed to do something to feel better. And right now all she wanted was to run.

An hour later with two more bottles of water, she was finally done. She leaned against the wall breathlessly as she looked around her little gym.

It felt... empty suddenly.

Why was she being this pathetic? She did not understand why her feeling and her emotional being on the negative side today.

*~*~*~*

Jeremy was planning what to do when his phone made a notification sound. His brows lifted when the sound was the one he set for his love.

He quickly grabbed his phone and opened the apps. Was she angry at him still?

"Sorry?" he read it slowly, loudly.

Was she apologizing to him? She finally realized that it was her fault this time?

He waited for more messages from her.

But it seemed like it was the only message from her. He waited for more than five minutes but there was nothing from her.

He sighed heavily.

They really needed to work on this 'making up' area. Of course, he wanted this make up could end in bed but something needed to be done before the bed.

And for once, he wanted her to do it for it.

They both needed to work for this relationship, not him alone.

He was still thinking about this when his phone rang. He frowned when the name on display was his personal ȧssistant's name; Jacob.

"I'm sorry, Boss, for interrupting, but there is an emergency meeting at the office," Jacob reported. Before Jeremy said anything, he quickly clarified, "The main office."

"What meeting?" Jeremy asked. He checked the time before stood up and walked to his bedroom to change his clothes.

"An emergency shareholder meeting, Boss. The driver is on the way to the apartment."

"What now?" Jeremy ġrȯȧnėd. He rubbed his temple before took a deep breath, "send me any infomation about the meeting."

"I have emailed it, Boss," Jacob said quickly.

"Okay," Jeremy ended the call and threw the phone on the bed.

He used the time by opening his e-mail and checked the information Jacob gave him. He frowned when he realized the main reason why some of the shareholders wanted to have this meeting.

"Stupid," he scoffed.

He read the document twice just to ensure he understood the reason. He shook his head in bemused. This was so childish and stupid.

He was still chuckling when he received the message that his driver was waiting downstairs. He took the elevator to go down.

The driver quickly opened the door for him when he reached downstairs. He ċȯċked an eyebrow to see how nervous the driver was.

"Father?" he greeted when he saw his father was sitting at the back. His brows knitted together to realize that he would not be alone to the office.

"Jeremy, how many days did you skip your job?" Mr. Long asked with a serious look. He did not mind when his little daughter took days off to prepare for her wedding or to go for a holiday but for his son to be lazy and skip his work? It was unacceptable for the heir to do it.

Jeremy just took his seat silently. He already expected he would get this question when he saw his father. But what kind of answer he could give? Should he just be honest and tell his father the truth? That Ryn and him were having another fight and because of that, he had no mood to work.

He would get a scold if he dared say that.

"I hope you won't go home after the meeting," his father said with a ċȯċk of an eyebrow. It was a clear warning.

Jeremy sighed and have his father a smile. He did not say either yes or no. He just smiled.

Mr. Long shook his head. He did not understand what was wrong with his son. Maybe the transation was too soon and his son was not ready? But he just could not wait to retire and be with his wife. He had been working since young and it was time for him to take a step back and enjoy his life with his beloved wife. He deserved it.

"Tonight, I want you to go to the charity dinner. You are not allowed to bring your mother," Mr. Long reminded quickly. He already has another plan woth his wife and none of the children involved in the plan.

"Okay," Jeremy replied. A charity dinner was not strange for him. He always attended charity lunches, dinners or programs with or without a partner. Usually, his partner, if he brought one, was either his mother or his little sister. But most of the time he would bring his mother as Jason would bring Mika with him for the same program. So his mother would actually became the chaperone for Jason and Mika so they could not do anything inappropriate during the programs.

Was Mika angry at him for bringing their mother? Of course. But she could not blame him all the time when sometimes he came alone. It was not his fault if their mother, when she came, decided it was important not to let the couple went to any dark spot or the bathroom together.

But for tonight, he decided that he has a perfect partner to bring to the dinner. Why should he be alone when he could bring his love? And he also needed to introduce Ryn to everyone as his woman.

He could not wait.

"About the meeting," his father started.

"The shareholders meeting?" Jeremy asked.

"Just keep quiet and follow my lead," Mr. Long reminded.

"As you wish, father." Jeremy has no issue about it. He knew if he was in charge, he would start being sarcastic and would not accept any excuse. Heck, he would rather buy their share rather than meeting them in any shareholders meeting. He had no time for their stupidity.

Mr. Ling gave his son a suspicious look. It was the right decision for him to chair the meeting rather than letting his genius son to handle it. His son has this bad habit of treating those who do not reach his expectation as stupid and this meeting was sort of stupid.. Well, he did think it was stupid too but he could not treat those people as stupid.
